Yahya was at peace.
The phone had stopped ringing, mercifully so. The teenager was too frightened to look at the time, because then he'd realize just how much time he had passed by answering the phone. Had everybody in Destiny City seen the flyers and decided that the cat in it would be their's? Yahya had never had such a response for one missing cat. It saddened him, just a little. How many animals did not get that much love? How many animals had he put flyers up for and had never received a single call?
The strangely purple cat was lucky. He was loved, treasured, and wanted by many. The cat in question was also being gloriously well-behaved... if only because he'd finally discovered the wonders of cat n**. Yahya watched the crate with an amused curve of his lips. If only the cat had been well-behaved, Yahya would have loved to keep him if they couldn't find his real owner.
But... with how many people he had talked to, one of them was bound to be Zue's owner.
The phone had stopped ringing, but now his few minutes of peace were disrupted by a knock on his door. He rolled off of the couch, picked a few things up off of the floor and stuffed them into the closet, and then went to answer the door. It was no surprise that people were already here. "Ah, welcome!" He smiled at the first person in the doorway.
Maybe Zue was too high by now to realize just how dangerous the situation could become.
[YO FOLKS. When this breaks down into a big battle, Arri and I think that the best course of action is to make separate threads for who your character is squaring off against. The main happenings thread is this, but if A versus B sort of happens, feel free to make another thread for just that part of it.
UHHH, I am not even going to attempt to have a posting order. SO POST AT WILL.]

ROLL ROLL ROLL ROLL ROLL ROLL OH GOD THE WORLD WAS SPINNIIIING THIS WAS AWESOMMMMMME ROLL ROLL ROLL--
Never, in human form, had Zue experimented with drugs. Drank a little, sure, whatever - his uncle had offered him a cigarette when he was still little, and he'd choked on it badly and never found the thought appealing again. But something mind-altering? The way that this stuff filled him up with glee inside, made his head light and the world silly? Never.
Really, it was an act of great self-control that Zue wasn't giggling his head off right now. Instead, he just kept tossing around in the carrier, rubbing on his back and flopping around every few seconds to get a new angle on the world, the very definition of kitty bliss. If there was danger impeding on his happy time, the heady fumes of the catnip had shoved it all out of his brain.
Once again, Zue: Worst Guardian Cat ever. And yet somehow, he couldn't help but think that Gemini would be proud of him. At least a little.

After half an hour of listening to an engaged tone over and over again, Kirin gave it up and just came to the address listed on the flyer. Either the idiot who had made the flyers was too busy chatting up their friends to actually wait for someone to call, or... Well, Kirin wasn't too sure he wanted to think about the alternative. Unless it was every single Zodiac and their headcrab phoning up, then there was too much interest in the purple cat with the double-star to be good.
Or the whole thing was a Negaverse trap and Zue hadn't actually (finally) found his cat form. The people behind Barren Pines were surely familiar with the double-star motif of the Zodiacs, since every single one of the many idiots had sported it.
Still, if there was even a slim chance that Sue had finally grown ears and a tail (and, y'know, shrunk and sprouted fur and otherwise turned feline) and was in trouble, Kirin was going to check it out. (And maybe point and snicker.)
Kirin walked up the pathway to the door, checking the address on the flyer once more. Unless there was a misprint, this was the place. He rang the doorbell and waited.
"Ah, welcome!" came the bright greeting as the door was opened.
Kirin's reply was cut off as he saw the person who had found the suspiciously familiar cat. Suddenly the chances of this being Sue/Zue jumped in his mind. "Yahya?"
