Well i know i am with both... even though im too poor to have much anime... sweatdrop but still loves it and japan is teh pwness... hellz yez... so anyone else?

An FYI: there is *ALOT* more to Japanese culture than anime an manga. That's just the small piece of Japanese entertainment that Americans see the most of. And we don't even see all of it; the only series that are iported or even fansubbed are the ones tat people decide are similar enough to wat Americans like to ring over here. So please don't confuse anime and manga for Japanese culture.
I love alot of thins about Japanese cultures.
However...
I don't love how women are second-class citizens.
I don't love how children are sexualized in Japan.
I don't love how xenophobic Japan can be.

I like certain things from Japan. Like a few games.
But I will always hate them, because they always keep the good games, or the almight "International Version" of other games. International, indeed, ******** cocksmokers.
Yeah, most things from Japan I hate. Including the hysteria over their culture.

Yea, it's irritating that people base all of their info about japan upon what they see in on the television. Of course the same could be said for us. Although i think Japan is cool and all, and i like Anime and Manga and Games and such, i'm not a psycho crazed anime-nut-job. I just like it.

I love the japanaese culture besides anime and manga (althou i do massively love anime and manga) but i not fanantical about it. Their beliefs in honor, virtue, and kindness is amazing. I admire their commitment to their work and education as well althou I do think that, they a bit over zealious and pressured to do well.
I could go on for many pages about this but will cut off right here but i be happy to talk about this on IM or e-mail if anyone would like smile
Oh and ya unless your exceptional at linguistics or at least familiar with the style of asian languges that would be VERY hard to learn japanese by july, I took it for 3 years. Just the letters themselves are so different not to mention the sentance stucture and grammer of it. But good luck to ya none the less!
