"Hi, lets be good friends okay?"
At first glance, Dottie may seem like nothing but a typical teenage girl with an eye for art and style. She's a peppy girl, although not obnoxiously so. She'll show up for the team, cheer and applaud but you won't find her doing back flips over benches or waving pom poms in a tiny skirt. Dottie doesn't seem like the type to make a lot of enemies in her lifetime, being quite cordial with her peers and rarely exclusive. She surrounds herself with all types of people and is unusually adept at remembering names and little bits of info about the people she meets and is genuinely interested in others. Dottie won't claim anyone as her best friend however. She believes everyone is her best friend. Awww. This optimist will always be the one who smiles wanly and rubs your back when you've bombed a test with two D minuses and she's pretty cute to boot. Dottie has good intentions set out for everybody and won't purposefully harm anyone (who didn't deserve it in the first place).

"He said he went to the cafe on Wednesday at 5:30 but he told Sally he went at 6...doesn't that seem a little fishy to you?"
Due to her compulsive lying and general twisted behavior, Dottie feels the need to keep everything organized and documented. She's not OCD specifically but just a rather particular girl with a very systematic way of keeping track of her things. She has a self-trained mind with a good memory, allowing her to remember past thoughts with just a few keywords. A sound, a smell or a bright object usually cuts the cake. While on the computer, Dottie logs just about everything she does, having chat logs and histories of sites she's been on as well as things she's posted on the internet in files. Some may say that she is borderline paranoid with her obsessive documentation but she'll claim that she just wants to be safe (from back stabbers and hackers).

"Could you just do this one thing for me, pretty please?"
Dottie is quite good at getting what she wants using whatever resources she has until they're bone try out of…well, resources. She won't wring someone to dry and throw them out but she will be persistent and press until she gets her way. Of course, she'll attempt to do this in the nicest way possible but there's never really anything nice about the whole process. She is crafty, willing to tell half truths or weave and wind people through loops until things span out the way she'd like them to. She feels little guilt for doing so, after all, she wasn't hurting anybody was she? Generally, those who Dottie promises her word to will almost always have her following through completely. For that, Dottie gains more trust than she loses.

Flaws:

"Oh you look great in that dress!"
Oh yes, the bane and the highlight of her existence. Dottie can't help herself from lying. She just can't. Her drive to be normal, 'sincere' and well liked keeps her from ever telling the truth-- ironically. She can be found telling small white lies to weaving intricate tales of how Bobby told her that Johnny wanted to date Suzy but Suzy said no because her best friend, Julie, liked Johnny and Suzy was already pregnant with Oliver's baby-- really, she is. This ability to tie a lie seamlessly into her everyday dialogue makes her seem appealing to different groups of people and is basically the foundation to her entire existence seeing as almost all of her qualities tie into her lying. She's nearly obsessive with keeping up with her web of lies, spending most of her spare time away from people focusing on remembering everything she's said. After a while, the lies blur in with the truth and it gets easier for her to pass it off.

"My favourite part was when the old man found out his life was utterly pointless and that he accomplished nothing all those years!"
Despite her gregariousness, Dottie's dark sense of humor shines through. She'll giggle at the movie scene when the family man gets cheated on by his wife five ways from Sunday or through emotional tear-jerking inspirational stories. She applies this twisted humor to people's miseries, most taking it as some sort of joke to lift their spirits despite her seriousness. (It's difficult to tell when she always sounds just so damn nice about it.) It's hard to get close enough to dissect her personality, but when one accomplishes that feat they can easily see that Dottie has a rather low sense of empathy, almost having developed a superiority complex among friends… oh wait.

"What do you mean I'm not queen of the world?"
Secretly, deep down inside, Dottie believes that she's better than these people she surrounds herself with and over the years, she had developed something of a superiority complex. She wills herself to be able to be kind and generous to those around her simply because they're nothing other than a lower class of citizen. They wanted her popularity, kindness, attention, skills… they needed her and only her and without her they would have no where to go, nothing to do and no one to help them achieve things that they themselves could never do alone!

"Don't leave me!"
But, in all truth, Dottie is just a needy little girl. She's the type to obsessively check up on someone or bother people if they don't bother her first. She thrives on attention and the feeling of being needed and liked, and needless to say, doesn't take rejection lightly. She doesn't get all creepy and stalkerish but she will often play the pity card, flashing that wan little smile and tilting her head in a way that manipulates her victim into feeling sorry for her. She tends to do it automatically without thinking about it too hard, which allows room for forgiveness for those who have a soft heart. For everyone else, well, she'd just try a little harder. Her lack of empathy makes it hard for her to feel for others but she'll try her damned hardest to win back trust and admiration if only for a pat on the head and a little nod. In addition to her neediness, Dottie rarely does anything alone. Despite her craftiness, without connections to aid her, she's unable to get anywhere or do anything alone. Ultimately, Dottie's greatest fear is to be alone, she just hasn't realized it yet because she's obviously the superior one and people always want to be near her!

Physical Description:

Hair: Black and wavy. It doesn't appear to be naturally black but a black color with a faint blue undertone as if it were dyed over a lighter color. Her bangs are cut straight across; however, they can be styled off to the side with a bit of gel and curled into neat waves like a vintage pin-up girl's. She's very diverse with her hair styles but tends to lean towards old fashioned retro styles while sticking to candy apple red hair accessories such as pins, hair ribbons and hair bands. When untouched, her mane sweeps just about her shoulder blades and maintains an almost greasy-looking sheen.

Eyes: Large, round eyes framed by unusually thick but clumpy and artificial looking eyelashes. Her eyes are big and vibrant but seem to be pitch black in color.

Face: Her face is actually quite small, her narrow chin and high cheekbones making her appear a bit older than she really is. She's as pale as snow and tends to have a rather even complexion most of the time. If her skin were to lean towards one side, it would be oily but the light sheen makes her skin glow. Her lips are usually coated with a rich red lipstick, however, without the make-up; her pucker still remains a rather bright salmon color in contrast to her fair skin. A mole is situated under her right eye and her ears seem to be pretty average in size and not particularly noticeable.

Body: Dottie is very slender and fairly tall for her age. She stands at about 5'5 and weighs in at about 100lbs. Her arms and legs are skinny, almost disgustingly so but she isn't unhealthy at all. Despite her lack of noticeable muscle, Dottie is in pretty good shape for an average girl and can participate efficiently in sports and all sorts of rigorous physical activity despite all the teasing she gets about her weight. She's almost flat chested and has developing, wide hips.

Fashion: Leaning towards the old-fashioned, vintage side of clothing, Dottie opts for simple dresses and heels with stockings or without. She's very simple and clean with her choice of attire, never going overboard with accessories or anything of the like. She's rarely seen wearing pants or a skirt that's too short. She's rather conservative and prefers solid, bold colors over intricate patterns or frills. She can be found wearing gloves pretty often, as well as neck scarves and big, bulky jewelery if she feels the need to accessorize.
