Shikai ability: During shikai Tenkiyoshi gathers nearby stray spirit particles to the blade of the pole arm and transfers it to Ryuta.
Known Abilities:
Kokan/Exchange: The serrated ends of the Naginata charge with spirit particles allowing the spike parts to engorge and become large protrusions. The protrusions can easily cut through steel and even diamond. The high speed they reishi creates acts like a supersonic blade that separates atoms enabling the blade to split anything in half. As the name goes the repercussion of this ability is draining the users reiatsu as it is being used.
Shohi suru/ Consume: By trading in a certain amount of collected spiritual particles Ryuta can then use this ability to double, triple, or even quadruple the size of his shikai in length, weight, and or width. Each attribute is selected when this process occurs.

Bankai Ability: Kiyoshi Mendai literally, becomes an extension of Ryuta. His Reishi flows in and out of the sword like blood to a limb. This power allows the blade itself to fire kido spells at high velocity with the same power as a kido attack with an incantation. If an incantation is used the damage and power of the kido spell will be multiplied by ten. It take 10 posts in order to use an incantation spell through the sword. A normal incantation may be used, but it will be fired from Ryuta's hand.
Known Abilities:
Satsuei/Shoot: The glowing mass of reishi that's collected around the blade becomes a razor sharp projectile that has the potential to slice through anything it touches.
Genshuku Baku/ Solemn Blast: With the use of high amplification and a high level kido technique, Zange becomes a cannon of sorts that can fire off an attack with 100% increase of strength.
Holy War:
Seisen/Holy War: Spirit particles grow on Ryuta's back giving the appearance of having Angel wings. Kiyoshi Mendai morphs and it's guard becomes a pair of wings and the hilt curves down. During this form Ryuta has the ability to fly and his speed is almost doubled. By charging reiatsu up Ryuta may swing the sword releasing a beam of light that can be blinding to some. Ryuta may also use Shoot and Solemn Blast while in this form. Those attacks are too amplified. This takes 20 posts to be able to be used.

Biography: Before being transferred to the Royal Guard, Ryuta was the Captain of the Fifth squad. Due to his extreme talents The Captain of the Royal Guard was given orders by the Soul king to have Ryuta be the Lieutenant of Squad 0 the Royal Guard. His soul duty was to insure the security of the dimensional barrier and gate to the passage into the Royal Palace. Upon the incidents happening in the Seireitei Ryuta was given the command of using the Kido cannon to destroy the Soul Society to eliminate all the treason and chaos caused by Aizen. Hundreds of years past before the newly rebuilt Seireitei was operational. The Soul King ordered that seats two through fourteen of the Royal Guard were to make up the new Court Guard Captains. Because he was both the most skilled in Kido and Lieutenant of the Royal Guard Ryuta was handed the task of many positions. His first position Captain of Squad One, the second was Commander of the Kido Corps, third was Head Captain of the thirteen court guard squads, fourth the ambassador of the Royal family to the Soul Society, and last the overseer of the dimensional barrier to the Royal Palace.
