For the month of March and April, the Ballroom is decorated with colorful flowers and furry animals as well as other springtime decor.
Happy upbeat songs play with a small light show of disco and sparkling lights. There is a table off to the side set up with purple punch and spring-themed snacks: Egg-shaped sugar cookies, various flavored marshmallows, and pastel colored icing covered rice krispie treats.

Aiden led Andy and Mira into the ballroom, noting that they were the first to arrive. "I guess no one else knows yet?" He moved to the side, allowing room for the two girls to enter. He'd gotten all dressed up for the event thinking that there were actually going to be people attending, but seeing the empty room made him wish he hadn't.
He wore a silver scarf around his shoulders, on top of a white and silver button up shirt which fitted against his body until the elbow, there the fabric went loose. Around his waist was a silver sash, and then his pants were also white and silver which were fitted until the knees, where like the shirt, the fabric was loose. "Now what...?" He looked to Andy and Mira, not even bothering to hide his disappointment.

Why did this kind of thing happen? Edmund wondered this to himself as he stared at the doors to the ballroom. Sun, his mother, had asked him if he wanted to go to the Springtime Ball. His answer had been a firm almost panicked no. Several hours, a berserk attack or two, and several outfits later though and here he stood right at the entrance. Didn't Sun know that he didn't have any idea of what to say to strangers?! He hadn't even made any friends yet! There wasn't going to be anyone there to talk to, and besides, balls meant dancing and dancing meant he had to have a partner. He was just going to stand there all by himself the whole time, Edmund just knew it. Yet she was totally convinced it would be a great way for him to make friends.
He'd finally been forced into a simple black button down and khakis. Sun had let Keiran pick out the tie and it was black and white checkered. Edmund wasn't quite sure the tie was to his taste but he was here and wearing it. Finally he took a deep breath and entered the room.
To his surprise it wasn't already full of people. There were three other kids there, two girls and a boy. With that few people here...Edmund couldn't go slink off to the sides. It would be awkward not to say anything. He stood there a moment seemingly stunned by the situation and then did what he saw as the only option and approached the group. "H-hi..." was all that he managed to make come out of his mouth in something not much louder then a whisper. He hated how his voice did that. He ventured a glance at all three kids and then glued his eyes to the black dress shoes he was wearing.

Mira followed in, being led into the ballroom. To her surprise, she didn't feel any other auras besides their own. She felt embarrassed to be in such a fancy feeling dress. She could only imagine how beautiful it really was. Her hair had been pulled into a high ponytail held in place with a pink plastic crown. Her dress of the ball gown type, simple and pink as blue straps criss-crossed at her collar bone and wrapped around to the back of her neck. There was a delicately placed blue lace sash held around the dress with a yellow medallion. The perfect addition to the whole ensemble was a pair of matching pink opera gloves which stopped right at her upper arms.
She blinked a little, almost about to point out that they should maybe leave since no one was there. But before she could open her mouth to speak, an aura caught by surprise as a boy spoke, and she made a small squeak and seemed to hide behind Aiden. She rested her forehead against the back of his shoulder, as if hiding from the new person. She really wasn't used to new people, and it had taken her a while to even warm up to Andy, which was helped along with suggestion of Andy's words. She shuffled slightly, her heels clicking against the tile, too embarrassed to even utter a word. She looked up and past Aiden's shoulder to sneak a better peak at the new person which sounded male in origin. She noticed through his aura that he was nervous, scared even. "...scared?..." she asked softly, still staring at him from beyond Aiden's shoulder innocently.

Andy had been excited to go to the ball with Aiden and Mira. It was fun to hang out with them and she really began to connect with Mira, understanding she wasn't as crazy as she thought.
Andy had managed to throw together an odd set of clothes for the ball. She has thrown her hair up into pigtails fastened with pink hair ties. Andy had selected her best corset top, a bucklet purple thing with normal shoulder straps. She had decided on an indigo skirt, one made of sheer fabric and a slip, the skirt collecting right below her knees. The perfect thing to finish her lovely outfit was a pair of knee high brown laced boots. Simply perfect, in Andy's eyes. She had even managed to steal some of her mother's light pink lipstick for an added cute factor to her image.
Andy was anticipating participating in the dance. She wanted to dance, and sing if she could. She was always so outgoing, and very optimistic no matter what it was. Andy smiled at Aiden as then she heard a soft voice and she jumped a little, whipping around to look the boy dead in the face suddenly. She gasped and blinked with big eyes as she then had to search for a response.
"Hi there!" she exclaimed suddenly and smiled big, laughing about being surprised at first. "My name is Andy! This is Aiden, and the girl hiding behind him is Mira! What's your name?" she asked, taking the initiative to get the ball rolling.

Aiden turned his gaze to Edmund, and then looked back over his shoulder at Mira with a small smile. "Hi, I'm Aiden..." He introduced himself even though Andy blurted out all of their names. "Are you okay Mira? He's fine, I promise." He reached back to take a hold of one of Mira's hands to encourage her to be more open.
He'd already noted that he liked Andy's energy, but her reaction to Edmund made even him nervous. He wasn't exactly extroverted, so being an introvert made him a little jumpy when people suddenly spoke up loudly. He brushed it off after a few seconds and regained his composure, though.

Edmund's eyes widened as he felt a little overwhelmed by all of the reactions. The girls seemed to be on stark contrast to one another, one hiding and the other loudly and happily speaking to him. The boy seemed to be somewhere in the middle of the spectrum. "I...umm..." His voice came out nearly in a squeak so he paused and tried to regain his composure.
The hiding girl, Mira, had asked if he was scared. How did she know? Was it that obvious? Sure Edmund knew he wasn't good at hiding his emotions but he thought he'd come off as shy rather then scared. He almost envied Mira for having Aiden to hide behind, but he had no one so he mustered up the bravery he had. Tearing his eyes away from his shoes he looked up at the three again. His voice came out at more of a normal tone this time. "I'm Edmund. I'm not...I'm not really scared..." He paused again searching for the words. "I'm not really good at these kinds of things. I've never been to...a ball or anything." He offered as an explanation for his awkwardness. He searched his brain for the right thing to say. "It's nice to...meet you all." Edmund remembered that was what you were supposed to say when you met new people.

Mira had seemed to jump a little at Andy's sudden outburst, being only startled for a moment. Hearing Aiden talk to her, she seemed to calm down a little, holding on to his hand cautiously. She managed to move her way out from behind Aiden, trying to be more open. She still had trouble saying much as she felt a little out of place, not being able to actually see who they were all talking to, but she was doing her best for now. "...m-mira.." she stated in a nervous, quiet voice. She was amazed at how Edmund had gone and introduced himself despite being nervous. She wanted to be more open and speak, but she found it difficult to muster of the courage to say a word.

"Mira's a fascinating one!... She's blind. But can see auras! Isn't that cool?" she asked, really just trying to make conversation at this point. Andy wasn't used to hanging around a group of shy people, in fact, she wasn't quite used to hanging around anyone. Just Rasiel, and he too could get a bit of a loud mouth at times. Andy smiled, hoping that her talking would convince the others to just join in and have a conversation together. The suspense of no one opening up just yet, was slowly starting to get to her.

Aiden stared at Andy with wide, shocked eyes, silently telling her that she needed to not blurt things out like that, especially so loud! "Ah... yeah.... Mira's special..." He muttered quietly, frowning a little now that he'd gotten over the initial shock. "It's nice to meet you too, Edmund." He extended his free hand, meaning to shake one of Edmund's.
[The emo brigade arrives!]
Deskri didn't particularly want to participate in any of the Spring events. He'd only dragged himself out of his dorm to avoid getting lectured by Asu, who would of course, somehow find out that he hadn't attended and would rag on him for months about it. So rather than suffer through that, he freshened himself up and then begged Rasiel to go along with him.
There was no way in hell he was going to go to a ball just to stand in the corner alone. There was also no way in hell that he was going to dance. He hadn't danced since the first time he met Rasiel.
Now his mind was wandering. "Sorry to bother you with this.." He muttered as he pushed the door open to the ballroom and then slipped inside. He was wearing a wide-necked purple shirt which faded into black with a series of hard-edged shadows reaching up, along with a gray-black pair of skinny jeans. Deskri was not one to dress up very much.

Edmund blinked a bit. Now he understood why Mira hadn't quite focused on things the way most people did. He really wasn't sure what an aura was and after a few seconds of deliberating he decided to ask. "Well what's an aura? Um I'm sure it is really cool I just....don't know what it is." His voice dropped a little softer in embarrassment of not knowing. Once Aiden stuck out his hand to shake Edmund considered it a second before remembering he was supposed to shake it. He extended his own hand and shook Aidan's gently.

Mira paused for a moment, feeling like she could die right then, being pointed out for being so different. She sighed a little, realizing it was something she could never escape. She decided that she had to have courage some time. She came out from behind Aiden entirely and tried to keep calm about the situation. "Mira can see what you feel... It is the only thing she can see.. everything is black to Mira. Empty." she spoke softly, trying her best to explain what it was that she could see. Her eyes shifted to the door just before it opened, as if she already knew they were coming in. She hadn't known who had walked in, as she continued on unphased. "..Mira has never been to a ball either.." she commented with a bit of a smile.
Rasiel was dragged into the ballroom, being pulled by Deskri. He hadn't really wanted to go, but he couldn't resist the puppy dog look Deskri would give him to convince him of anything. Rasiel hadn't even bothered to change into anything fancy either, just remaining in his normal clothes, deeming them formal enough to wear to the ball anyway. He smiled a little, at least happy that he could be around Deskri. He hadn't noticed at first until something caught his eye. Andy. Rasiel seemed to freeze up as he saw her. It was hard to tell whether he was amazed or terrified. He stared at her for a moment before looking away and continuing moving on with Deskri across the room. It was a little awkward to see her there, but what did he expect. She did live here just as he did. Rasiel let out a sigh, feeling like his day was taking a turn for the worst.

Andy was smiling but scratching her head, laughing nerviously as she felt sorry for talking a little too much. She had gotten too excited about being at the ball, that she had forgotten her manners. She went to open her mouth to say something but then her eyes drifted off to the side to lock onto Rasiel. Of all people to walk into the ball, it had to be him. Her mouth was still agape as she watched him stare at her then keep moving. She frowned a little and then looked back to her friends. "Uhm.. excuse me.." she muttered softly and then walked off toward Rasiel and Deskri. Hoping that she would catch them when they went to sit down or something. "b-big brother?" she called out softly as she frowned, looking sadneded by something.

"I don't think any of us have... But it sounded fun." Aiden commented lightly. He looked up in time to see Deskri dragging Rasiel in with a rather unpleasant expression on his face. All of the colors drained from his face, leaving him completely and totally white for a few seconds. "A-ah... W-what made you decide to participate...?" He changed the subject quickly, deciding that it was better to keep the news of Deskri's arrival from Mira for the time being. "Oh, okay Andy..." He frowned a little as he watched her walk over to the two older Metas.
Deskri found them a suitable corner to hang out in and then parked himself in it with a sigh. "Hopefully just being here will be enough for her to leave me alone..." He muttered a little, eyes catching on the little girl walking up to them. Big brother? He was taken aback enough to not control the instant glare that came to his face. He didn't drag Rasiel here to have his attention stolen, no, he'd dragged Rasiel along to have his undivided attention and this little girl was ruining it.
The glare lasted a few seconds while the flurry of thoughts went through his head but he soon realized what he was doing and what he was thinking and stopped himself. No, Rasiel had mentioned a girl, someone important to him so... Deskri sighed mentally and looked away, figuring it best that he not say anything. If Rasiel wanted to talk to her, he would. He did, however, give Rasiel's hand a small squeeze.
[fffff Deskri's jealous streak is already roaring it's ugly head. XD]
