Lunch time was the best time ever. There was something about getting a break from work and stuffing your face with food while doing nothing else that was incredibly satisfying. Although he had slowed down his intake of food significantly after he had eaten the first half of the sandwich.
He set down the remaining half for a moment, glancing around the street as he took a sip of soda. He had ended up sitting at one of the outside tables at the cafe, not feeling like sitting inside would be quite appreciated as he had been liberally splattered with oil earlier in the day. Gotta love malfunctioning cars, eh? A glance at the clock through the window showed that he still had quite a bit of time left before he had to get back. Thank god.

The middle of the day was when Kemuri had gotten accustomed to waking up. But today, his guardian woke him up extremely early to get going and get a part time job while he tried to get into a college or something to get some education. He had to find one that would be good to waste time at, had decent pay and Walking around in a daze with today's newspaper under his arm, he decided to sit down in a small cafe and enjoy a beverage while looking around the classifieds.
He walked into a small cafe with the inside filled. It wasn't a surprise because it was lunch time. Everyone had to eat sometime, right? He was promptly swept away to a small table on the outside. It was an okay sized two person table. He was given a menu before he was left alone. He looked through the menu. He wasn't really hungry but it would be impolite to claim a table and not order anything. He flipped to the drinks section and scanned it for something cheap but would let him sit there for a bit of time...

Lind continued to much on his sandwich as he absently scanned the crowds. People, people, strange looking people, people he's seen once or twice, horrible tipper, very familiar person, person, person....wait.
He looked back at the person that he really remembered quite a bit, staring at his back, trying to remember where exactly he knew him from...And, when he turned slightly and Lind caught a sight of his face, it hit him.
"...Kemuri?!" Well, this was surprising. He hasn't seen him since, what...he was a kid?

He merely folded his wings behind him and stared at the menu that he was given. Should be order a drink and just waste time while he looked for a job or should he order a lunch as well? He stared at the menu until he realized something in the distant. His eyes flashed as he did a double-take to catch a glimpse of who was there.
'Those eyes...' He thought to himself 'They can't be that boy I had seen before. Wh-what was his name again...? Lind?' He looked down again as he pondered. If he really is the little boy he once met... boy has he ever grown! He's a full man now!! (and not to mention, sexier by two folds; no, three folds, easily!) Kemuri, trying not to appear as a creeper, looked up when he thought that this other man wasn't looking. He nonchalantly ordered food and promptly raised the newspaper to cover himself. He pondered poking eye holes through the newspaper like the spies did in movies.

Pssh, heck yes he had grown. What, did he expect him to stay short and tiny forever? Nope, the hormone fairy had to hit at some point. And...well. Actually did awhile ago, but still. Principle of the matter. Well. This put an interesting spin on the day, didn't it?
So he hurriedly finished off his meal as only a still possibly vaguely growing young man pressed for time can. And after threading his way through the tables to throw away his trash, he seemingly went to go back to the table he had been at.
Instead he pulled out the chair across from Kemuri using his foot and plopped down in it, saying nothing, but staring at him until he said something.
Sometimes you just had to just go all out and creep.

The newspaper served well as a wall of defense until he lowered it to see the face of the fully grown Lind in front of him. He lowered the newspaper and stared back, not wanting to be the one to start the conversation. He just narrowed his red eyes as he stared in to Lind's red coloured eyes as well. From the way Lind just pulled the chair with his foot and sat down uninvited was asking for a battle to the finish in Kemuri's eyes.
Knowing this might go nowhere he sternly said, "Hello." at the man sitting opposite from him. He folded the newspaper as best as he could without looking away, making him look 'gutless' in a sense for turning down a challenge placed clearly in front of him. no really, right in from of him, across the table.

Oh no. He was not going to lose this one. Even if his eyes burned and watered and he really really needed to blink, he wouldn't lose. No. That would be bad. Losing is bad. He must win.
A grin slowly crept across his face as the newspaper was folded off to the side. Ahahaa. So close. Soooo close. "Heeeey." Funny thing, he looked exactly like he had the last time he saw him.
Must've found the fountain of youth or whatnot, eh?
