Couldn't think of a topic title.
So there's an essay, in English 202.
First, there was an outline. I got it done.
Then, there was the rough draft. I get off of work at 10pm, don't get home til 10:30 almost every day. I explained to the teacher that I couldn't get it done in time, and asked if I could turn it in late. She said no, and that the rough draft is meant for personal input to make the final better. In other words, it doesn't matter because it's not graded. Came straight from her mouth.
Final was due, I woke up with a sore throat, I emailed her explaining that I couldn't make it to class, and if I could email my final to her.
She said no.
Wanna know why?
Because I didn't turn in my rough draft.
I constantly checked my email Thursday (day the final was due, and when I got sick), I didn't get a reply on my computer until Friday evening.
.... Am I missing something?
The rough draft isn't important, but it's crucial to be able to email my final?
On a day I was sick? ON A DAY I COULDN'T CONTROL?
So now I can turn it in, but for a late grade.
I could b***h the teacher out, but that won't get me anywhere.

A late grade is better than a zero, right?

I hate it when teachers make it look like it was your fault just so they don't look bad!

Sleepy_Shadow_Fox A late grade is better than a zero, right? Guess you're right. >_< Sorry, I come from a somewhat-grade-nazi family.

I do too, but in these last few years, I've decided it's none of their ******** business what grades I make in school. I'm an adult, and if I screw up, it's my responsibility.
Being a procrastinator, I tend to screw up more than I succeed.

I guess your teacher wants to see what ideas you've gotten on your paper so far i guess, but i'd rather turn it in than nothing. 3nodding
