My wii will play every other game, but it seems to have a problem with brawl. I thought it was purely my warped game disk at first, but i tried borrowing a friend's and it still won't work

Um, I have the same problem. Apparently our Wiis gathered too much dust or something, and it's having trouble reading discs done in the formatting that Brawl is. Eventually it won't be able to play regular Wii games either. If you're in America, they sell a disc lens cleaning kit that you can use to fix the problem; it'll run you about ten bucks.

It's not the dust, you just have early production Wiis. They have trouble handling dual layer discs. Sorry, you have to send them in for replacements. :<

Mine does the opposite. It runs Brawl, Prime Trilogy, and most games fine, but games that came out right around launch don't stand a chance. Raving Rabbids I can live without, but Warioware is an incredible party game, and Twilight Princess was awesome.

I got my first Wii at launch. It was dusty as hell and ran Brawl fine.
My guess is that it's a firmware problem, but I don't really know.

I dunno. My Brawl is scratched up, so is Twilight Princess. Never thought about it not being able to cause it's old, I just thought it couldn't read through the scratches. D: I don't wanna buy a new Wii! Cause, of like, the save data you can't move.
lolnowait I think I can do stuff with the nand. blaugh

I got mine within a year of release, and all my games still play fine.
Also, we have disc cleaning kits in Canada too LPS.
