It was early afternoon and Thwayya had found her self wandering aimlessly again around the temple. She was sure to keep close to the dens and not stray off to far. After all, she was still a very young cub and needed to not wander to far. At the same token, Thwayya was still a very young cub who wanted to explore.
She eyed the empty halls ahead, dare she set paw forward? Dare she go into the unknown?
Thwayya sat there in the middle of the hall weighing her options. On one hand she'd see some amazing things, on the other.... she could get lost or hurt. Thwayya practical and cautious cub even at a young age. No doubt about that.
Still, maybe if she took a small peek and came right back? No harm in that right? Thwayya got up and slowly extended her paw. Slowly..... slowly..... contact! The cub quickly looked around to see if any one was watching her. Nope, no one. Thwayya inched forward.

In the light of the early afternoon, Akhenaker sat practically pressed up against one of the temple walls, blue eyes darting from symbol to symbol. Every now and then he would hum softly to himself, seeming to understand something, but then a frown would form several minutes later whenever he seemed to stumble upon a figure or a sign he didn't understand. His time away from the temple had severely hindered his understanding of some of the more familiar signs, but he felt like he was slowly coming to understand. They were all pieces of one giant puzzle that the lanky lion was determined to solve. Or, at the very least, he wanted to get a good chunk done before he passed the work onto his predecessors.
Best not to leave them in the dark, after all.
Perched as he was, with his front limbs tucked up against his chest, he didn't notice the wandering cub, far too immersed in his work. It was only recently that he had been required to fill a teacher's position, leaving him playing "substitute teacher" as it were to the many, many new lives that needed instructing. As rewarding as it was to fill young minds with all kinds of random and interesting facts, it left him little time to his studies, which meant he had to focus harder whenever he had the chance. Currently, being found by one of his young charges was the last thing on his mind. If ever there was an easier lion to sneak by, Akhenaker was the one.

Oh, another lion? The female almost fell flat on her face. Should she turn tail now and forget this adventure or should she push onward?
Thwayya had lost her nerve. She was shaking now, what if she got in trouble for wandering away? The thought literally made tears well up behind her eyes. Her heart sank deep inside of her as her imagination ran ramped about what would happen if this lion turned and saw her.
It was just to much. It was just to scary!
"I'M SORRY!!!" She whined unleashing a water fall of tears. "I DIDNT MEAN TO! I DIDNT MEAN TO!"

Akhenaker caught sight of the cub just as she almost fell, causing the lanky lion to spring up in the air in surprise. Where had she come from?! She hadn't been there earlier! Or had she? Oh bother, he couldn't even remember! Silently, he scolded himself for not paying attention, trying to relax the fur along his back and his tail. He should really try harder now that he was in the pride to --
Tears? Tears?! Oh what was he supposed to do with tears?! The lion stared at the cub with wide eyes, ears pressed flat against his head. He wasn't good with cubs! As if being silly and making funny noises wasn't bad enough, they cried too!
"It's okay! It's okay! It's quite alright, honestly. You just startled me! I wasn't hurt, I promise. You can uh… sit with me. If you like." Would that pacify her?
