The green noodle was laying down in front of a lit fireplace, almost asleep. He spent much of the day playing in the snow outside, and that left him tired and cold. So what better way to warm and rest up than sitting next to a fire? He managed to find one going on and had been here ever since.
While Zucchini was lying there, he was watching others come and go. Some of them were alone, but others were with friends or possibly mates. A strange type of sadness shot through his heart whenever he saw them. He was old, and without many friends nor a mate to hang out with. What had he been doing with his life? Really?

Masquerade came in, needing some warmth after crafting in a near-heatingless work area. On her face was a rabbit mask, with swirly designs and an appearence of something from the early twentieth century. She seemed at first unaware of anyone else, as if in her own world.

Zucchini was shaken awake by approaching footsteps. He opened his eyes lazily and saw a female walking by with some sort of mask. Whatever it was supposed to be, it was pretty. And she looked like she could use some company, though he's usually wrong about these things...
He sat up, yawned, and stretched a little bit before walking over to her with a smile. "Hello. Nice mask you have there."

The voice made her flinch back to reality. "Oh, uh, yes." Masquerade blinked, social skills(or what was left) failing her for a moment. She hadn't met a stranger in a long time, much less a male, with a manner and age beyond her son, the only one of opposite gender she had communicated with in the past months. "Thank you." she added awkwardly, quietly, averting her gaze. She hadn't expected anyone to be here; if she had thought about it, Masq would not have worn such a gaudy thing.
