Time.
Time was enemy she had overcome for over a millennium. A foe she was still battling, would always battle. It was a never ending fight.
She should have been dead. She should have been dead and remained dead twice now, but the power within her remained strong, remained steady, and her soul had conquered the limitations and the containment of time. She was an ancient being that now roamed the Earth of present day. She would soon rule the Earth of present day.
It was only a matter of time.
The Negaverse subspace was cold, and the seemingly lifeless body of the purple haired lieutenant was quickly growing just as cold. The blood from the wound had stained the gown of the Queen, but the monarch seemed indifferent. What was blood to her, even the blood of those who had sacrificed their very lives for her?
The body had been moved to lay atop the broken desk in the subspace, the desk that Charonite had broken in one of his many fits. He needed to work on that temper of his. He wouldn't.
She smiled.
Tanzanite lay lifeless before her, the desk still serving purpose by being able to hold the tall girl's figure. The blood had begun to stream down the side of the desk; she would bleed out, soon enough, if the wound was not attended to. It could already be too late, as it was, judging by the paleness of the skin, the slowness of her heartbeat.
One hand waved itself over the girl, and the crystals around the desk shifted, rising up at their Queen's command. Closing her eyes as they adjusted themselves, she urged dark energy from her fingertips into the crystal. Soon enough, Tanzanite was encased within the crystal, encased in a dreamless slumber that only Beryl could awaken her from. The bleeding stopped - everything stopped. This was no different than when the others had been frozen away, when she had been frozen away. But things were different now. She was in control now, and not even time itself could interfere with her plans for Aree Cadence.
The casing finished, she took a step forward and gazed into the translucent crystal, stared into the face of the frozen lieutenant. What would become of Tanzanite? Did the Queen still have a purpose for her after all, as weak and deformed as she was?
Only time would tell.
