Okay, so, this is the idea I had before.
I wanna try and release it, but I dunno if it will gain interest.

The Basics:
-Become an Agent (Human, experiment) or a Creature (Werewolf, Elemental, Vampire, Mutant)
-Fight it out. No auto-dodges. Every attack must deal SOME damage.
-Agents fight to capture Creatures.
-Creatures fight to kill agents.
-Fights shouldn't take more than a few hours (or if you have to leave the computer, a few days).
-At the end of the first month, or Chapter, of AvC the kills will be totaled and whichever side that wins will cause a change in how the next chapter starts out.
For Example: If the Humans win, in the next chapter all Human Characters will be changed into experimemts and will be able to choose abilities at will.

Not saying that'll happen (because why would I give the story away so soon?) it's just an example.

Also, if things go well, there might be an interactive comic following the story line and even some of your characters.

AvC will be held in the WAR Board, like the DvS event.

Please post your opinions/suggestions here.
If you are interested, please just hold tighht and I'll try to get this up as soon as possible.

I'm still in. If you're willing to set this up, I'm willing to find the time (And make it. Most of the time I'm on Wednesdays 3-5, Fridays 3-7, and Saturdays 8AM-4PM (Also the occasional Tuesday/Thursday. Mondays are my sisters day on the computer when dad's gone). This is all East-Coast time (Virginia, Maine, Florida...any states on the east coast), So we may have to adjust our schedules accordingly (I'll adjust mine too, I'm not saying to adjust to mine, that would be selfish) to compensate for differing time zones and the days we'll each be on. Just pointing it out. I'll be using Xashowd. His profile should still be around here somewhere...

I am in, of course.
Depending on when it starts I should be on alot.

Oh, and how can kills be tallied if my fellow Agents only capture the beasties? D=
Unless you just mean each kill/capture is a point.

Er, yeah.
The kills and captures will be tallied against eachother.
Then Katie wants us to have a Boss Fight at the end of it.
I figured out what we could do, but it's hard to come with a boss for both sides.
I was thinking that if a side is winning, then they get a boss fight from the other side.

I still don't like the idea of it being in the main chatterbox thread. It's too disorganized. Not saying the Becca hasn't done an amazing job with the place, I just think an event of this size would be better handled in the guild with it's own thread. It'll give us more control.
Demons vs Slayers was a success, because a) we had fewer active members posting at the time, and b) those who were posting were actually participating, albeit, haphazardly...but that was just because of time conflicts and people needing to battle more than one opponent at a time.
Now, the CB thread is primarily chat and there's nothing wrong with that, I just see it being hard to implement an event of this scale and detail there. Too many people will be confused, reading through the first page of regular thread info and past event info and then CURRENT event info...people don't like to put that much work into finding things. And then they'll be more confused because, inevitably, people will continue to chat there while waiting for the event to get started or gain more members and I've seen us gain 20 pages of chat in a single hour. Nobody wants to sift through that many pages trying to find where the last fighting post was.
Also, in the CB thread we don't really have control of being selective. Of course, I'm not saying we turn away any who are serious about joining in on the event but there will be others who wont take it seriously, or the occasional spammer. Sure, we can put such people on the "ban" list, but what good does that do, really? It won't stop them from posting. We can report their posts for spamming but a) there are billions of reports every second on Gaia and it can take weeks for a moderator to get to it, b) all the moderator can do is delete the reported post, they can't stop the user from posting in the future, and c) more than likely a report in the chatterbox for "spamming" will be ignored because it is the chatterbox. Anything and everything is pretty much allowed there as long as it's not breaking the ToS.
The only thing the CB thread really has going for it in regards to this event is the high traffic. It's WAY more active than the guild, as of late, and thousands of people are in the CB at any given second and will see the event, thus increasing potential for new members.

It's sort of scary thinking about putting MORE hard work into another guild event when so many of them seemed to fail because the guild died. But if we beef up advertising and detail in events I really think this can work. Andrew and I came up with some pretty awesome ideas, and I know you guys have some amazing ideas of your own to contribute. Together, we can do this! God, that sounded cheesy...but its true.
I'm holed up for the next two months with a broken leg so I've got the time. What I don't have is enough will and effort to bring this place back on my own; the last few events we had proved that. Andrew, Nathan, Becca and I put all we had into keeping this place alive. Not just for the memories, not for nostalgia, not because we can't let go of the past and refuse to grow up and face reality...no, not even for you guys and what this place means to everyone personally. I believe in what WAR has stood for since it was first started and what it still stands for...

A place where its legal to beat the living s**t out of friends and strangers because its fun and goddamn entertaining, and because video games and movies bore us, and because I BELIEVE IN MAKING OUR GENERATION SEE THAT USING THEIR BRAINS AND IMAGINATION AND CREATIVITY FOR ENTERTAINMENT IS NOT SO ******** HORRIBLE AND, IN FACT, IS JUST A LITTLE BIT AWESOME!
