History:
History: Born in a beast hold near the main Hold of Ruatha, Amishan was raised around Runners, his father's specialty. Close enough to visit the Hold daily, that's where he has his lessons. He helped from an early age with their care, when not spent with the harper at Ruatha. He showed a fondess for music early on, spending all his free time near the Harper, especially when the Harper played or sang. At the age of 8 or 9, his father and the Harper had a long discussion, and much to Amishan's delight, he was sent to Harperhall to begin training.
With his experience with runners, one of the chores Amishan helped with was care of the Hall's beasts. It meant he was allowed to ride semi-regularly. He had a lovely soprano, and was trained in singing. When he was 11, one evening he was sent on a short errand up into the hills for the Masterharper. On his way back, a wild Wherry startled his runnerbeast, and Amishan slipped, and fell. He landed all right, but the beast's hoof scrapped his chest, leaving a largish gash. Amishan, after a moment of shock, managed to calm his beast, then pulled his shirt off, and pressed it to his chest, before speeding back to the hall.
The cut was not deep, but it was wide, and after cleansing it, and bandaging, he was left to care for it. It healed well enough, but he has a scar there to this day. At the age of 12, his voice broke. For a time, he was worried he'd have no voice left when it settled, but to his delight, after 6 months of nerves, it settled at a nice, high end tenor, one were he could reach the lower end of the Alto spectrum. At 18, he made Journeyman, and was sent to Ista Hold to help the Harpers there. He spent a year there, traveling back and forth to small, nearby holds. In the process, he impressed a pair of Fire Lizards, 1 Gold, 1 Blue. *(See below) On his 19th birthday, he was sent on to High Reaches to assist the WeyrHarper as his next Journey, so that he might gain more experience of the Weyr, and dragons and riders. Not long after arrival, he encountered a Search Dragon for the first time, and it had a strong reaction to his presence, leading him to be selected for Candidacy.
Appearance: Tall and lean, Amishan has a slimly muscled build. He wears his hair longish, tied back in a tight tail. His hair is black, though in the right lights reddish highlights appear, and it's straight, with slight curl at the ends. His eyes are of average size, and a deep teal-green color. He has full lips, and a longish neck, which some say is why he has such a lovely tenor. His skintone is palish, and he burns more then he tans. He has a scar on his chest from a small accident with a Runner Beast when he was 11.
Personality: He tends to be warm, welcoming, and kind to anyone around. His temper is rather even, but if one does get on his bad side, his rare losses of temper are memorable. Also, he almost never forgives, and rarely forgets what made him so very angry. The sorts of things that make him angry are those who try to steal the work and accolades of others to get ahead, mistreating the small or the helpless, which include children and animals, and kicking people when down. There are other things, of course, but those top his list.
Prone to burst into song at the drop of a hat, his best instrument is his voice, followed closely by his skill with the harp. He's a bit of a clothes horse, fond of nice things, and that tends to be were he spends any marks to spare. He also is very protective of his clothes, keeping SEVERAL sets of 'Just for Dirty Work' outfits because he'd die if some of his wonderful clothes got ruined. In fact, one might say he's downright vain about his clothes, perhaps too much so. He loves his clothes and looking good. He
would rather go naked then wear clothes that look bad, unless he's doing a distasteful task. That is the one place he'd even CONSIDER ugly clothing. He has been known to spend an hour pouring over the options for him to wear, or to buy. Occasionally he gets twitted on his vanity, but hey... He looks good! Surely no one could argue with that! Or so he thought, vain as he was about it. Other then that, he doesn't tend to spend what he doesn't need to.
Other: Blue was a gift from Infi from her IRLs, Gold was my IRL Fire Lizard Purchase.

Quick history clarification question: How did he end up in High Reaches if he went down to Ista?
And I just need to see one more solid personality flaw in his personality. The only one I see right now is his inability to forgive and forget. If you've got another one that I don't see, feel free to point it out and tell me why it's a flaw. <3

Unfortunately, I can't take a fear as a flaw. D:
If you want to maybe expand a little on his love of clothing to make it into vanity I'll accept that as his second flaw though. <3
