"Sledding!" Ballare whooped loudly, his voice bouncing off of houses as he and his big brother, Bovi, wandered up the snow covered streets to the local sledding hill. Oddly enough, there were few people there, but then again Bovi was schooled via online lessons and Ballare was just a mere toddler, and it was a Thurday mid-morning, so most were at school.
Bovi laughed. "Yes, sledding," he said with a smile and a nod. Ballare looked up at his brother with bright eyes.
"You gonna sled with me?" he asked.
Bovi shook his head. "I really shouldn't. I learned the hard way last time that my hair dislikes sledding, and I'm not in the mood to brush all of this out later..."
Ballare nodded and smiled. "That's fine, OH LOOK THERE'S THE HILL!" and with that the deer-taur galloped off with his brother in hot pursuit.

Already at the top of the hill was a toddler, her body bundled up with a puffy coat and warm pants, along with a scarf and a hat. Her hands were covered in gloves and in her hand was a plastic saucer type toy. Beside her stood an older woman, calmly explaining once more what the entire purpose was of sledding. Saar was old enough to attempt the hill now, and after seeing so many children playing on it after each snowfall, the girl really wanted to try it out.
But now, at the top of the smooth hill, it seemed as if the Siren-mare didn't really want to go down it after all.
Looking back up to her mother, the girl blinked her bright red eyes with a nervous bit of her lip, before turning and looking back down once more before setting the toy down.
"That's it Saar, we can start easy...this hill is pretty small compared to some out in the world..."

Ballare noticed the girl and trotted over to her when she was in full view. He didn't want to be rude and start talking to her when she was about to head down the hill, but then again it didn't look like she was 100 percent ready to go down just yet, so perhaps introductions were still valid.
"Hi there!" he said, waving a gloved hand at the girl, smiling before looking at her choice of sled. "Ooo, nify saucer! I can't use those kinds...it's hard to stay on with my feet," and at that he did a quick turn around to show his tauren body.
"Oh, my name is Ballare! Nice to meet you!" he said, tipping his hat slightly as his brother had taught him.
Bovi had pulled up beside his brother, toting along the classic wooden sled that Ballare was going to use. "You being nice?" he asked with a grin. Ballare giggled.
"Always,"

The toddler almost jumped at the voice, before spinning around to catch sight of the larger boy. Of course, he was simply taller because of his extra legs and body, but she was still surprised and left to just blink at his form.
"I...uh...wow!" She said after a long moment, before a quick throat clear from her mother snapped her to her senses. Taking a breath, she giggled lightly, before nodding her head and picking up her saucer once more, "Ball-are? My name is Saar..."
She smiled lightly to him, showing a flash of fangs, before turning to her mother and asking if she could play with Ballare. Of course, Saige said yes before backing off a bit to keep an eye on the two, as well as drag out a handy camera to capture Saar's first sled ride, whenever it might occur.

Ballare smiled and nodded his head. "Nice to meet you Saar!" he said before looking down the hill that would soon be the track to his own sledride, though he was too gosh darn excited to be nervous like Saar, that and this wasn't his first time..
"You wanna sled together?" he asked her, taking the rope from Bovi's hands. Bovi then mimicked the other girl's guardian and backed up some to give them playing room.
"Her first time I take it?" he whispered quietly to Saige, taking note of the camera and Saar's own nervousness.

Saige gave a sheepish smile of her own before laughing at her antics, "Yeah, I haven't had a chance to show her everything yet, and she was really shy when I adopted her, so we are just getting around to exploring them more daring snow-time adventures."
Saar was still unsure before Ballare offered to ride with her. Suddenly, she felt a little better with the idea, because what harm could come if she was with another kid?
"Would that be alright?" her soft voice asked out, eyes wide a moment as her hair caught the wind from under her hat. She moved closer when she asked that, and looked at the different sled than her own. It also appeared there would be more control using that sled than her own flimsy one.

Ballare nodded, showing her the sled.
"Sure would. Me and my mom can fit on it together, so you and me should be just fine, and look..." He tugged on one side of the rope handle, making the metal mechanism on the top move. "These kinds of sleds can turn a bit so we can get out of the way if something pops up!" he said, showing to her it was perfectly safe.

She eyed him a moment longer, not quite trusting the idea, but slowly getting used to the reassuring glances her mother sent. Clearing, it was alright by Saige's standards, so what harm could it do?
So, she moved to stand next to the boy, watching his own actions to determin her own. It was a start of her independence, and suddenly she felt the need to prove to her mother that she could do this.
Plus, from the way that the boy explained the sledding and how excited he was, it really couldn't be that bad.
"Alright...let's go!" She said with a flashing grin.

Ballare smiled and sat down on the sled first, more towards the front. There was still plenty of room for Saar to sit behind him.
"Make sure to hold onto something so you can keep balance," he said with a smile. "You can hold onto me if you wanna, I don't mind," he said with his own bright smile complimenting his chipper voice.

She nodded, quickly wrapping her arms around him as she settled in her own place behind. She leaned to the right to look around his body, eying the hill that seemed so much taller than it had while she was standing.
After seeing it, she quickly moved back and took a deep breath, gathering a bright smile of her own before letting the breath go.
"I'm ready!"
