Past

The Arashi Clan is a native to the Lightning Country, and a close relative of the Senju Clan of the Fire Country. It is said that long ago, a sage was granted the power over lightning by the gods. Every member of the clan is an embodiment of that ancestor. With their unique ability passed from generation to generation, these members became the foundation of the Cloud Village and among one of the noblest clans that reside there to this very day. Their influence lies behind the scenes of the village, however, they are dedicated to doing what they must to ensure their survival, even if that means taking out another village.


Master of the Temple Suna Arashi

Suna, sighed slightly as he walked out of the door way and into a clear, open area. It was a bright day and something in which made Suna cringe slightly with grief, this was because of the sunlight beaming into his eyes in great amounts. After a moment his vision cleared and he could see that the old man, in which had challenged his rank, was now standing in front of his body, in the middle of the village. The old man was a geezer and had been a ninja in the village for some time, but his skills were mediocre at best. Suna sighed slightly, scratching his head with his left hand, he was not in the mood to fight him but it mattered not.

In a moment he moved closer to the old man's body, with a very slow motion of his body, it was to show that he wasn't going to rush recklessly into this fight. After a moment the old man yelled out to Suna, in a great voice and loud, "Come on now your taking to long!" Suna was a little annoyed by this type of response, so he simply flicked it off from his mind, and picked up his pace slightly. His form was very proper and as soon as he was able to meet the eyes of the old man, his posture changed from very respectful to a more fighting and rough form. He sighed slightly as his hand moved upwards so that the old man could see it, then he flicks it so that it seems like he is saying, 'come at me'. After doing this hand motion, he set the hand right on top of his katana's hilt, with a slight motion of the hilt being moved slightly.

The old man began to rush at the form of Suna, his feet move extremely quickly for his old age, he was holding his hand out in an attempt to send a punch to the temple of Suna. The attack was quick but reckless it left so many spots on the other person's body open for attacks, this made it easy for Suna to counter by just blocking the punch and turning his left leg into electricity. Then sending it as a upper level kick to the old man's forehead, this would cause some massive brain trauma if it actually hit his forehead. The old man was quick like Suna, so he just ducked under the attack, it swished through the air as the lightning made a slight "zzzzziiittt," sound as it flew over his head and into the open air. The old man grinned as he pushed up from the ground, sending a palm right into Suna's jaw with such force, it would make Suna cringe and fly backwards if it actually hit.

Suna saw the attack coming but even he wasn't fast enough to dodge it from such close range, this would be a major problem for Suna if it actually hit him, but it did not. Suna quickly turned his whole body into lightning, this made it impossible for him to be hit, but it made him not able to move very fast. Suna moved as quickly as he could under the old man's feet, so that he was right behind him, then he reformed from the electricity behind the old man. His movements were quick as he sent his right hand as a balled fist right to the back of the old man's neck, this attack was enough to make the old man loose all senses from his body and fall to his knees. This attack was extremely quick, much to quick for him to dodge so the old man had all of Suna's hand sent into the back of his neck, as though there was no hand even there in the first place.

The attack was instantaneous as it made the old man hit the ground, knees first, then his face hit the ground softly. Suna sighed slightly as he thought about what had just occurred in the old man's mind, all of the jolts surging through his brain stem to the point that it would knock him out cold and nearly kill him. This attack was the end of the battle though it was short, it made the point that Suna was indeed meant to be at his rank with the Kumogakure. Sighing once more, he looked down upon the old man with a frown and saying, "Next time study your opponent before you even try to attack him. Hope you have learned your lesson." He turned his head as he left the man there and walked away from the area, his black hair flowing in the air.

Rule's
1. Arashi members must have Raiton as their main element.

2. Raiton techniques are a rank stronger than others and gain strength when struck by such a ninjutsu.

3. A technique is needed in order to utilize the full-body lightning transformation.

4. Arashi members cannot use genjutsu.

5. Arashi members are vulnerable to Fuuton (Wind) Techiques more so than other people.

6. In the full or partial transformation state, Arashi members cannot swim.

7. All Arashi members are able to produce lightning from their body, which increases in power the higher their rank.

8. The secondary chakra element cannot be Fuuton.

Techniques

The Arashi have the ability to generate and convert their bodies into lighting. However, their power diminishes the further the range of the attack, so for this reason, they mainly act as taijutsu users and close-range fighters overall. The lightning they use is just as powerful as natural lightning and can at best, extend as basic bursts of energy from their body. When they convert themselves into a pure-lightning form, they cannot be harmed by physical attacks, but elemental justu that have a natural advantage over lightning such as Fuuton (Wind Release) will deal twice the damage. Furthermore, being exposed to water will electrocute the user unless they stay in their lightning form, which consumes massive amounts of chakra to do.

Charge Step
Rank: D
The user releases lightning at the bottom of their feet, increasing their speed for up to three posts. When they kick an opponent, it can send a charge of electricity through their body and cause mild burns.

Wrath of the Lightning God: Partial Form
Rank: C
The user gains the ability to convert one or two parts of their body into pure lightning. These areas can withstand heavy amounts of physical damage without being hurt, and send massive amounts of voltage through the bodies of their targets if proper contact is made. The downside to this is that this is among the few times where the user will be at risk of electrocution as well, specifically if getting near or contacting water of any kind.

Lightning Claw Technique
Rank: C
The user generates electricity from the ends of their fingertips, which can form into claws. The more electricity that is used, the longer the length of the claws become. The user will then charge forward and tear through whatever it is that blocks their path. These electrical claws have the ability to cut through most defenses with a searing heat. Contact will result in burns and severe shocks.

Attraction of the Lightning God

Charging their hands with electricity, the user can transform themselves into a human electrical magnet. This specific technique draws metals or lightning techniques towards the user and allows them to repel them with twice the amount of force. However, this should not be mistaken for the Iron Sand ability. This is only possible through the use of lightning manipulation, but they do not have the ability to manipulate the mass quantity of metal, nor have as much control over metal as the Sandetsu Clan does.

Lance of the Lightning God

The user forms several handseals and generates lightning from their palm. It takes the form of a massive lance which envelops the entire length of the arm, The user can either charge forward with a burst of speed and impale the opponent with the highly charged lance, or launch the lightning lance from a distance.

Cycle of the Lightning God Technique
Rank: B
The user first converts their upper body into an electrified state, and then begins spinning at an incredibly rapid rate. They barrel into their opponent and trap them within a tornado made completely out of lightning, attacking from as many angles as physically possible with one specific attack.

Wrath of the Lightning God: Full Form
Rank: A
This is a secret technique learned by members of the Arashi clan when they are acknowledged as true shinobi. The user forms a series of handseals and emits a burst of chakra throughout their entire body. They then transition from a physical state to an elemental one, becoming the full embodiment of lightning. In this state, their speed increases and physical attacks will do no damage to them. Physical contact with anyone in this form will result in severe shocks and numbed nerves. Such things as limited flight and incredible flexibility are also possible in this form. However, this absolute defense is also the most vulnerable state to be in. All damage that can be taken in this form more or less doubles. Furthermore, it drains chakra incredibly quickly to remain in the form, and will automatically vanish after five posts.

Triumph of the Lightning God

The ultimate technique of the Arashi Clan, which can only be used when (Wrath of the Lightning God: Full Form) is in use. Absorbing as much chakra as they can, a bright ring will appear around the surrounding area. The user then releases all the chakra in one massive blast, filling the entire area with pure lightning. There are very few techniques that can even hope to defend against this technique, and anything caught within the perimeters will without a doubt, be struck with so much electricity that their brains and nerves shut down, killing them at a high price for the user. They are drained of all chakra and left in a near comatose state for three days. Without quick medical attention, they too, will perish. This is the absolute last resort technique.
