Lipi was.. awake, oddly enough. It was early out still, the sun has yet to rise, though it was trying off in the distance. Still, the short lioness wasn't usually up until the sun was high in the sky. Flicking her brown and black tail, she padded off from the rag tag 'pride' she belonged too. Her head was hurting so bad from all the memorization she had to do as recorder. So much information on the lions who joined or appeared. It was definitely long past break time.
Golden eyes closed a moment before opening them again and looking out at her surroundings. Where did she wander off to? She was glad it was getting brighter by the second, but still. She hadn't traveled these lands long before she stumbled upon that pride. "....Whatever," was her reply to being lost. Speaking out loud helped her sometimes. Even though Lipi didn't like being around a lot of others, she felt lonely when by herself.
"Maybe you need a friend."
It was whispered from someone she met a while ago. Now she was thinking it true. Did Agen count as a friend? Or Sylar? She didn't know, honestly, but maybe Agen. She did see him more than once a day, because they belonged to the pride, and they had to constantly be around each other. A frown tugged on her lips as she tried to figure it out.

Kgosi was irritated, to say the least. That Giant Blue Slob that he called his Brother was just...augh. A Pain in his a**, A Thorn in his Paw...anything that summed up how annoyingly painful that laid back attitude was to him. He had escaped that massive ball of blue fur earlier in the evening, wandering off to lat on a bit of a hill, on a rock that would face the sunrise. He had slept comfortably all alone, the peeking light dragging him out of his slumber; unlike Jelani, he hated sleeping...but he wasn't ready to go back to his adopted Brother. Not yet.
Hopefully, this time, not ever again.
He shook out his mane, crossing his paws in front of him while he sleepily watched the sunrise. Soon enough, the sound of another creature wandering nearby; he tried really hard to ignore it, but it was coming closer to his rock. Sighing to himself, Kgosi looked down, surveying around him until he spotted the brown female, his tail flicking in irritation.
"If you're not a morning person, you should go back to bed." Kgosi huffed out; he could see her frown from here. Just because she was irritable didn't mean it was okay to interrupt his hard-earned quiet.

Who the hell was snapping at her so irritably? ********, Gods above, they had better not be one of the dumb pride members that often tailed her. The dark brown girl snorted and turned toward the voice. She wasn't too far away from it, so when her eyes spotted the only, big fluffy male around, her golden eyes narrowed in pure annoyance. Who was this b*****d and why was he snapping at her? What the hell had she done to him?
The small adult lioness stalked up towards him and bared her teeth. "Who do you think you are? I didn't say one damn word that would wake you up from your precious sleep. A growl left her throat before she plopped down in front of him. Now this would be an interesting time. A game she often played with specific males: 'Annoy the crap out of them and not back down when they start getting violent'. Sure, she needed to shorten the title to something else, but it was all good for now.
"Why the hell are you so close to my pride, anyway?"

Kgosi's bright eyes narrowed when she bared her teeth at him; he naturally returned the favour, growling for a moment under his breath. What the hell was her problem? All he did was tell her to go back to bed, and now she's flying off the handle? "That is none of your damned business, Female...don't be full of yourself, to think you could wake me." The brown-maned male snarled his words, but near the end huffed, looking away until she so rudely moved in front of him.
"You're in my way." He growled this time, turning to focus his stare at her; he wasn't getting up, but she was ruining his view of the land, being so close to him. At first, he ignored her question; actually, he continued to ignore her question. Close, yes...but was he inside? No. She had no right to question him, he was sure of that. When it became clear she wasn't leaving, he flicked his tail in irritation once more.
"What do you want?" Kgosi uttered flatly, really not wanting her here.

"I want...." A friend. Well, she'd gone and blown that, hadn't she? Perfect. Simply perfect. Lipi was now annoyed with herself for wasting so much of her energy being angry for no apparent reason. She actually flopped over on her side and sighed deeply, stirring dust with her breath. "...I want.. to talk, I guess." She could hear his 'go away' in his voice, but frankly, she was too lazy to move much further than this. She stretched out again, her small body twisting with her movements until she was on her back, looking up at him upside down.
"Bet I blew that, didn't I?"

"...You want to...Talk?" Kgosi tilted his big head, his expression a clear tell that he thought this female was an idiot. After all that yelling and bitching at him, she thought they could be friends? His big paws crossed in front of him and his tail flicked in irritation behind him, but he continued to stare down at her. The way she moved, the way she curled onto her back. All in all he took that motion of hers as her giving up, and his bright eyes turned away from her for the first time, looking away.
"Gee, you think?" He huffed, his lip curling in a bit of a growl. After a moment the growl subsided and his lip lowered with a bit of a twitch. She was certainly something, wasn't she? A big personality in a tiny body. "What could we possibly have to talk about?" He demanded, still looking at her from the corner of his eye.

A big personality indeed. When Lipi felt like it, she could hold her own against the bigger lions in the swamps. Her small stature just let her fit in cracks to get her prey a lot better than he could. Her golden eyes closed a moment and then thought about his question. What could they talk about? The weather? As if. Ah, she supposed she should start at introductions, they hadn't done that yet, had they? Her tail flicked a moment more and kicked up dust before she looked at him upside down again.
"...I'm Lipi. We should introduce ourselves if we're going to be kind of civil, hm?" She was teasing him now, a smirk forming upon her lips. "As for what we could talk about.... How you managed to get this close to the pride I'm in. Well, the make-shift pride, anyway."

"Kgosi." The tan Male said shortly, mildly agreeing with the introductions. It did help civil conversation when you had a real name to give the other party, right? Lipi, interesting...even if she was teasing him. He growled low at her again, huffing in distain, but finally decided to look right at her again. It wasn't a pleasure to meet her, and he certainly wasn't going to tell her that just to make her happy. "It was easy, I picked a rock that was out of the way and empty, I laid down. There aren't any territorial scents here, they start over there." He informed her seriously, turning his head to nod to a spot in the distance. That was how he got so close.
"Are you going to chase me out?" He drawled almost sarcastically, staring at her boredly; he obviously didn't see her as a threat.

"Not my job. I'm just a recorder. ...A historian, if you want something better. I log away the names, positions and families in our pride. Along with significant events that go along. It's rather boring.." She wasn't exaggerating either. Her job was to go to every member in the pride and ask their name, position, family names and positions, how they came to the pride and why. Lipi's head hurt after a day of doing it, but she was nearly complete in that job. At least, for now. She'd have to go ask when litters were coming into the pride or newer members.
"Besides. Why would I chase out something that is.... new in the pride? I know every face there."

"Where would you log something like that?" Kgosi asked, his brow lifting. He as...honestly curious? He'd never heard of a job like that before, it was actually mildly interesting...to do nothing but remember the who, the what and the where. The brow dropped and he frowned when she mentioned being new in the Pride. Shaking his brown mane, he finally stood up on all four paws.
"I'm not joining, and I'm not really looking to be entertainment for you. So, bye." He bowed his head in some mock motion, then turned his back on her and started to walk away, moving away from the Pride itself.

Where would you log it? It was an odd question to ask, by her standards, anyway. "In my head, where else am I going to do it?" She asked, voice dripping sarcasm. Honestly, how the hell could someone ask a stupid question lik--
"HEY!" She flipped over and followed after him, snorting. "Well, that's rude." Wait. Lipi stopped a moment and bit down on her bottom lip. Why did she follow this brute anyway? Her ears flicked back and forth in indecision, but she picked up her pace again. Whatever, she'd walk as far as she wanted and then turn back and leave. "You're so nice, Kgosi." She flicked her tuft of mane out of her eyes and glared at him whole heartily.

He was honestly hoping she scratched it somewhere. Now THAT would have been interesting. It wouldn't have made sense, but it would have been interesting.
Kgosi sighed when he realized that she was following him. He looked over his shoulder, staring down at her like one would stare at a particularily annoying cub. He rolled his pale eyes at her comment, flicking his tail at her merely because he could. "And you're not as annoying as everyone thinks, Lipi" Tilting his head, he grinned with a glare as whole hearted as hers.
"Aren't you scared of being away from your pride?" He asked her in the same snide tone he'd always used with her.

"Why would I be scared? I was on my own for years before I joined it. You're so..." She growled at him and then shook her head. Lipi didn't want to start a whole argument with him again. Why was she still following him? He was a jerk and she was wasting so much energy on him.
"You know what? I'm not going to talk to you anymore." With that, she turned around and snorted before walking back in her pride's direction.
