Nix'Annada:
She loved her children, even though they were growing dangerously fast. Nix'Annada sighed and played with the few pieces of glass her lightning had created, connecting and beating against the sand beneath her form. Theyw ere closer to the edge of a desert now, Ryu'Rage and Daemonascus were out somewhere alone together. She sighed and rolled onto her back, lokoing up towards hte blue sky with clouds that littered it with white long streaks. Her stripes glowed softly as she closed her blue eyes, breathing deeply she hummed. How long would it be until she would pass up this charade, could she keep it up, all for her sister, for Rage, what would the children think?

She needed to at least tell Rama, he would understand, her son of static seemed busy off on his own playing with the tiny shocks he could muster, Neisha was her little pride and joy, her lovely little daughter with such bright eyes. Rama had to be close, and at once she knew how to grasp his attention, he seemed so headstrong, and so wanting attention, what if attention caught him intead? Lifting her right arm she shot a bolt of lightning up into the clouds, crackling loud, he'd come, sooner or later seeing the sight.

Rama:
Rama had spent the better part of the morning near an oasis, staring into the still, smooth waters that lay cradled between two large mounds of sand. On occassion, the sun would roll out from under the clouds to glare up through the water into his eyes, distorting his view.

Thankfully, it was an unusially cloudy day, so he had a good deal of precious time to work his mane into perfection. He turned his head to the side and admired his profile. The dangerous, strong jaw he was growing into, the strong silvery horns protruding under his full, thick patch of mane, and the powerful neck suspending his ever-perfect head. After a moment he flashed a wide, toothy grin. Oh yes... a heart stopper.

A crack behind him caused him to jump, fur -previously groomed to silky perfection- stood on end. A lightning bolt.

He sighed and glanced back to his reflection. "Always something."

After taking a moment to lick out the spine that had formed down his back towards the full fluff of fur tipping his tail, Rama turned, spread his wings, and sped off towards where he'd seen the bolt vanish.

Nix'Annada:
Nix'Annada knew her son all too well, it seemed so strange that he and Dae were not so similar in personality, then again, Dae had rememebred so much recently of the past. Nix wondered if Rama qould question why Dae never grew, had he noticed yet? Had Rama noticed his older brother nad his aunt disappearing in the night? She rubbed her head, sat up and licked her fur smooth and soft. She blamed ehrself, partly, for Rama'a behavior, not domain, Nix knew she had never truly settled with anyone, even thuogh Mrost was constantly on her mind. No, that was something different, but, Rama got his attitude perhaps more from his father, she was only glad his father stayed away again like she asked.

She admitted to ehrself a long time ago she was lonely, but her children saved her sanity, she loved them with all her heart and did not feel like she could truly trust another to hold ehr heart compeltely. She just hoped, even if her children grew and went on their own, they would return, visit, and still love her then. "Rama, where are you," she wondered if he was trying to follow someone else now, stalking, as cubs do, as she liked to do to Rage sometimes to scare her, play games. She smiled, waiting, still waiting

Rama:
It didn't take him too long to find her. Afterall, a lightning bolt in the middle of the desert was pretty obvious. The cub flew with his chest thrown out, his paws curled perfectly under him, and his head raised. His wings, the largest of his litter, carried him to an easy, gentle landing. He uncurled his paws and gently landed in a cloud of sand, unsettled by the force of his wings bringing him to a gentle stop.

He pulled his wings back against his body, brushed out his fur, and strode forward. "Mother, when you want attention you certainly go out of your way to do so. What is it this time? Is there a lower being fawning over the girls? Shall I deal with them? "

Nix'Annada:
Nix held in a laugh as she saw Rama approaching, he was so calm but so believable, and she loved her son so. He could amke her smile all the time while static shocked her every chance he got. "You do love your landings, don't you Rama?" she wished to reachf roward and ruffle the fur atop his head, but, she figured he might need to stop and fix himself before going any further in words.
"No, no Rama, they are fine, Niesha is not toof ar off, your brother is palying closeby as well, Rage adn Dae are off hunting, but, there is something I need to talk to you about, your brother preferred I try to explain, and then he can try later. Unless of course you'd rather have him teach you more moves for your landings," she winked.
She caught a breath, held it and swept some sand away from her side, motioned to it and smirked, "Come here, I don't want you too far away so that the wind takes bits and pieces away."

Rama:
"Ah that I do." He sighed, "I can look down while all on the ground look up and admire." What a wonder he was. Such graceful flight, strong and confident. His ebony coat shone in the sun like a rare gem licked with beautiful blue markings. He was -very- aware of what a sight he was, especially aloft.

He nodded and slowly relaxed himself as Nix assured him that there'd be no need to dirty his paws. Not that day anyway.

"Moves? Him teach me?" Rama snorted. The nerve! Any 'moves' he needed to add he could figure out on his own.

He sighed and stepped forward. "I don't think it will. I just flew around, I don't think anyone's within earshot."

Nix'Annada:
"Well, come sit next to your mother anyway, there is something important I need to tell you, but, of course, if you think you don't want to know," Nix turned her head slightly away, held he head high, let the wind grace her form that even, maybe, perhaps Rama might be jealous and baited to listen, "Then I guess I can keep the information for myself, and have you, my son, let in the dark? Is that what you wish for?" she smirked, patted the ground, "Come sit Rama, this is important, no groaning now," she patted it again, swished her tail on the gruond and waited. She could be so impatient with him sometimes, but she loved Rama dearly, he was always concerned about teh family, for that she was eternally grateful to his small form.

Rama:
"Very well." He paused, dusted off a small place for himself to sit, and settled his haunches down. His shoulders instinctively rolled back, throwing his full chest out while he lifted his chin, eyes raising to meet his mother's.

"Of course not, I want to know."

Nix'Annada:
"Well then, I guess I have to tell you, but, if your brother asks you to talk with him later, act like this did not happen, think you can keep a secret Rama? she baited, he'd probably take it, then again, maybe not.
"What I wanted to tell, moreso, ask first, is, have you noticed anything, about your Aunt Rage and your older brother? Have you seen them together as of late at all?" she questioned, rubbed the ground beneath her, it was a calming sensation. "You can tell me whatever you've seen, I promise to not be angry with you."

Rama:
"Oh I can keep a secret better than anyone, you know that." He smirked, a sly expression not uncommon on the lips of a jackal. Of course- he would keep a secret, so long as it meant that he'd be praised for his golden silence later. Or pried for it by a curious sibling.

He rolled an eye upwards. "Yes I suppose... he's not grown at all. I just figured he got on someone's bad side. Is that what it's about?"

Nix'Annada:
"Well, yes, and no, your brother, he will stay as he is, but he wanted to have it this way," Nix explained, trying to find all the right words to amke this simple, and not draw it out too long. "You see, your brother, wanted to make it 'safe' for the past to repeat itself, in a manner of speaking. He is staying this way, because of your Aunt Rage, he did it for her," would he put two and two together? Would be be confused? No, Rama was so intelligent, he wouldn't stray from it, would he?
"You see, Rama, your aunt and I, we aren't sisters by blood, but by friendship. She is still your aunt, but, this means that you, and Niesha, and your brother, and Dae aren't related to Rage, I'm not either. You see, Rage and Dae, how to say this to you...they were, together, in a past life, and wish for it again."
