Do I really Love her? Can I even truly love anymore? It had been a while since the night he had taken feline to the infirmary... She was so meek that night, someone he knew he had to protect. She was beautiful, her fur shining and soft, her robes cascading around her form, and her wings... he gazed at her from the bench, not even wondering why she had decided to stroll through the training grounds. Then these thoughts of her had struck him... His tail twitched tentatively as he watched her walking about, glancing at the objects strewn half-hazardly from the end of practice. These guards were moronic, he thought to himself. He started to pull his attention away and pick up after the foppish men, but something pointy pricked him in the cheek of his but as he was sitting. His gaze swept over her as he twisted sharply to see what the pain was, but his head stopped moving as she passed through his vision. All of a sudden, the pain was gone, and so was the desire to clean up. All there was was that striking example of a felinid, walking through the grounds.

It had been a long day of magical studies for Feline and she was more than ready to be out of that stuffy temple’s practice hall. She normally would have just flown to the beach to relax, but something called her to the training grounds today. She strolled through the grounds glancing at the various weaponry. The sun felt good on her fur. She briefly stretched her wings out to give them a chance to take in all the warmth from the rays. Maybe I should think about taking up the sword, she thought as she picked one up off of the ground and experimentally swung it around. She spun around with a hop into the air and pretended to stab an invisible enemy. It wasn’t till she looked up from her victorious kill that she spotted him. Gwarn was standing straight across from her on the other end of the training grounds. His fur was shining in the sunlight as it clung tightly to all of his well trained muscles. He had his sword that she had kept safe for him strapped to his person and he moved with a grace that said he knew how to use it well. His gaze caught hers and she suddenly felt like a deer caught in headlights. Her heartbeat doubled and suddenly breathing was not as easy as it should be.

Do I really Love her? Can I even truly love anymore? Her eyes came up and met his for only a second before he felt himself moving toward her. It was as if he was in a dream, his feet had wings and he floated on the sunshine towards her beautiful figure. His heart raced in his chest as his words formed not in his mind, but in his mouth, leaving him no say in what he said. he was right infront of her now, his paws held at his sides, and he made a curt bow, slowly, his respect for her showing through. "My dearest Feline**," He said, his words smooth and caressing, managing her name from her own language in his heavy rakshasan accent. "May I ask what a strikingly delicate lady such as yourself would be doing here?" he asked, not enforcingly, but kindly, reaching to her hand, lifting the blade of the sword in his monstrous paw.

In a blink of her eye he was in front of her. It was like time and sped up and slowed down all at the same time. His sent flooded her senses and her cheeks turned a slight shade of red underneath the fine fur that covered them. She was sure he could feel the heat just as strong as the sun was hitting both of them. Her name rolled off of his tongue beautifully. It had been so long since she had heard her true name being spoken by another person, she smiled with pleasure. Her delicately pointed teeth making it look slightly dangerous to anyone not used to felines. “I was just enjoying the sun and the grounds. I saw all the people leaving from the earlier training here and I figured it would be a quite place to relax.” She paused and marveled at how gentle his hands were as they took the sword from hers. They engulfed her small hands, and yet they moved with a delicate precision. The small blade she had been holding looked like a toothpick in his hands. Looking up into his eyes again she smiled, her wings fluttering slightly, “I didn’t expect the scenery to be quite as nice as it was though.” she said more boldy than she had intended. Her hands couldn't help themselves as she reached out and brushed off a bit of dirt from his armor, “I must say that you were quite a pleasant surprise to find here.”Another time she would have stopped to wonder at her forwardness, but there was somthing about this day that made it not matter.

Do I really Love her? Can I even truly love anymore? His orange eyes were locked with hers, and he felt some heat come to his face at her admonition of 'enjoying the scenery'. He could somehow tell she was blushing, but her glistening fur was doing nothing to betray it. The way she moved, the millions of tiny, near translucent sounds, sang in his ears, and her movements danced with the song. The sword was in his hand. A short sword, tiny, brittle ineffective. perhaps if he showed her to fight, they could become better acquainted? He tried to think it over, but his body was acting before he made any request. He walked backwards two paces, and on the second, as he spun, he winked at her. Why? His actions seemed bizarre... but isn't it what he wanted? A step forward, and he found a box full of training weapons, wooden, light, usable. his hand sifted through the wooden blades, finding the perfect one. A simple Bokken, one he had seen in use before. It's surface was marred, paint chipped from it, the edge dented and abuse by training. This simple bokken was different though, as it had never come close to breaking. His hand clasped around it, he pulled, and the other wooden swords tumbled about the box, settling in the bottom before he closed the lid. "Feline," he said, turning. he walked over, and stretched out his arm, the training sword flat and balanced in his palm. It wasn't overly long, or heavy, with the slight curve of a Katana. "Take it."

Gwarn surprised her by stepping towards a box of practice swords. There was a child like playfulness in the way that he spun and winked at her that let her easily slip into that playful state as well. When he returned with the practice sword she was ready to flow along with whatever he had planned and have a good time whilst doing so. Feline took the katana like sword from his hands. It was the perfect length and height for her small frame. She settled her hands one on top of the other in a position she thought was the correct way. Bracing her legs about shoulder length apart she straightened her arms out in front of her so the sword stood at attention in front of her face. Instinctively she flared her wings out behind her to provide more balance. “En garde!” she called out playfully to him.

Do I really Love her? Can I even truly love anymore? Gwarn picked up a long bokken- something close to the dai-katanas he was used to, and swung it around his hip, stopping it with both hands on the handle. His feet shifted apart, his hips angled at her, the sword away. He grinned, his long, curved teeth feral and innocent, shining. His eyes glimmered, and he threw himself toward her, his long unbalanced sword swinging around and stopping just short of her ribs, the tip brushing against the underside of her wing. Understandably, her reaction was really quite girly. She squealed, and giggled at him. he dropped the sword, and moved in closer. "How's about a little help with that?" He said, walking around her, his arms easily encircling her and his paws laying down softly over hers. He shifted her grip slightly, moving her hands higher, up against the hand guard. "When using this kind of sword," he said, his breath in her ear, His voice low and soft, "you need to push with one hand" his hand softly pushed forward on the top of the handle, "and pull with the other."

There was nothing to fear. Feline knew deep inside that Gwarn would never hurt her. It was surprising how fast he could move when he wanted to, but Feline found herself laughing when the sword kissed her ribs because the touch was so light it was tickling her. It felt good to be encircled by his arms. Feline worried about her wings getting in the way, but she was so much smaller than him that he fit perfectly around her. Resisting the urge to lean back into him she focused on where he was putting her hands on the sword. The position did feel more natural. A tingle swept down her spine as his breath softly brushed her ear. His hands were gentle yet strong on top of hers pushing the sword down. As the sword tip moved down his softly worded instruction made sense as her bottom hand naturally went up. Feline looked at her hands in wonder; she always enjoyed learning something new. Ducking playfully from underneath his arms she turned to face him. Feeling mischievous she jumped into the air with a flap of her wings and did a summersault over Gwarn’s head and landed delicately on the other side of him. The practice sword had narrowly missed his head. It was shear luck that it hadn’t actually made contact. Feline grinned sheepishly while trying to readjust her grip on the sword.

Do I really Love her? Can I even truly love anymore? Her flip was so fluent, so natural and graceful, he stared all the way over. She landed with both feet behind him, he gaze following her, and completely missing the wooden sword floating past the side of his face. Surely Sune had a hand in this girl's creation, as Gwarn had never seen anything so naturally beautiful and smooth. Again, he locked his orange eyes on her dazzling emeralds, and smiled to himself. A glint in his eye, he opened his mouth with a "RRRAAAW!" His hands flew up to the sides of his face and in his most comical monster impression, he stalked the step over to her and swept her off her feet, quite literally. She was in his arms now, so near. her sent was intoxicating, but whatever feelings coursed through Gwarn were slowed and halted at that point. He couldn't simply carry here in his arms to his room, in broad daylight. that would be terribly coarse. "Perhaps," he said, looking down into her smile, "we had best find some lunch."

Feline laughed as she was swept up by Gwarn, the practice sword falling forgotten to the ground. He picked her up with such little effort that she felt like a feather floating in the breeze as she settled against his chest. “Mmmmmmm,” she slightly growled as she took in the feral sent of him. Feline lost herself in it for a second or two, reveling in how much he reminded her of her homeland, despite him not coming from there at all. The word lunch finally broke through her distraction. “Lunch would be wonderful!” she said with delight. Her stomach growled to remind her that it did exist and had needs too. With a small laugh she added “I believe my stomach is agreeing.”

Do I really Love her? Can I even truly love anymore? What was this feeling? It welled up in him, it filled him to the point he thought he would burst. But to look and see her smile... He couldn't describe how happy that simple sight could make him. The sun was high in the sky, and they walked a way from the grounds, discarding their swords. The place was a mess... perhaps Jessie would have those who trained on a regular basis clean on his return. they walked, holding hands, for a period of time.. Was it forever, or was it mere minutes? The seconds flew by, but he could hold onto each one when he walked with her. The sea breeze cooled them under the hot sun, and it tossed her hair playfully, eliciting more smiles. Perhaps seconds, or an eternity was gone by the time they made their entrance to the small dining hall connected directly to the kitchens. It was a tall room, it's ceiling peaked much like that of a church. the tables were scattered about.. Most dirty and covered in dishes, with acolytes scurrying about cleaning after the midday meal. Was it really that late, as they missed the lunch meal? he would have to speak with one of the cooks then. perhaps they would help him out. He led Feline to a table that had been cleared and washed down, and sat her on one of the wooden seats provided. He stooped down, and took her hand. "I will be gone but a minute," he said, kissing the top of her paw. He straightened, winked and turned about, striding towards the kitchens. Meta was nowhere in site... strange, she rarely left the kitchens. Her apprentice was there, however, and He towered over the small meek cook. "Hello, good Oswald," he said, his voice strong, forceful. Perhaps the fear the people of the order had placed around him would work for him at times. the pot-bellied lad was cowering behind his thick-rimmed glasses, his stout frame trying to ward itself from the beastly Gwarn with a wooden spoon. "H-h-hello. Gwarn," he said, his fear audible. "I-I-I-I am sorry, but you've missed t-t-t-the n-noon meal." he seemed to stop in thought for a second, looking back up at the Rakshasa. "W-w-w-was there something, s-s-something I could d-do f-for you?" his stutter more apparent. Gwarn smiled sincerely, something that frightened the man even more. It was intended to be a gesture of good-intent, alas... "I am sorry to have frightened you, good cook. I simply was hoping you could.. Help me out." he turned and looked out the small viewing window into the dining hall, seeing Feline sitting there. "I was hoping you'd consider making an exception in Meta's absence, that you could perhaps make an extra meal for My lovely companion and I," he said, trying to be as nice sounding as possible. His extremely audible accent seemed to frighten the man, but his words calmed him a touch. "W-why, perhaps, I could do that for y-you," he said, nodding his head furiously. "Much obliged, good Oswald," he said, turning on his heel and walking back towards the Girl he left sitting at their clean table. "I hope you are ready for an excellent meal," Gwarn said, sitting down across from Feline with a smile. "I was under the impression he was going to make an extraordinary meal for us."

♥ Marriage is a fine institution... Meta streeeeetched~. She loved this time of day; perfect for a cat-nap on her tatami mat on the back porch, especially after she'd just made a giant pot of chicken gumbo for lunch. (She missed the clams she'd usually put in, but oh well... It was one of the tenets of BOOdism, after all.) She heard a bit of clanking, some purring, some slightly pained meows. Oh my, she thought, peeling open an eye, Gwarn and Fel are finally doing something. I wish them the best~. They both seem so lonely...She let her eyelid clank shut again. She let out a contented sigh... Suddenly, ZING! She felt something hit her square in the behind. She swatted at it, thinking it might be a fly, but no, she didn't see or hear anything, and her behind STILL hurt. Ah well, I'll look into it later. It's a good excuse to go bother Hyaku~.
♥
Oooh, that was a good nap. She got up, stretched once again, and pulled open the Kitchens' back door, striding in languidly. She sniffed; oh s**t. Oswald had left his gumbo portion on the stove, and now it was BURNING. Damn that Oswald! He was always forgetting things! I don't know WHY I ever took that idiot in!She threw off the burner and dumped the smoking gumbo into the sink, dousing it with water. Then, she noticed a note on the counter next to the stove. Oh god, what an idiot. You don't serve THAT to a couple! You actually get off your a** and MAKE something! She looked out the small window into the eating hall, seeing the two fellow felinids chatting amicably as they waited for their food. The sting in her behind twinged again as she caught sight of Feline. A wide smile broke across her face. Meta would make this a meal for her to remember. ♥ ...I'm just not yet ready for an institution. --Mae West ♥ (Okay, chitchat a little more, then I'll post what it is I'm making~)

Do I really Love her? Can I even truly love anymore? Gwarn walked back to the table, his eyes on Feline the whole way. Although the tables had been filthy just minutes before, they were already cleaned down and being set for the dinner meal. His eyes never left her, his tail twitching back and forth, he gathered a few things from the tables on his way, leaving some very mismatched. Upon his return he had in his arms a tablecloth, simple in design but still cloth, breadsticks, Pitas, tzatziki, and all the high end things he could muster. A two pair set of fine silverware, fine glasses, even a bushel of Flowers in their own glass vase. His eyes broke from hers as he set the table, and the whole thing seemed as though it belonged in the most expensive eatery he could imagine. Although it really wasn't much by gaian standards, to his idea of human standards it was great. In font of her he set her silverware down gingerly- his hand pausing, as he rested the napkin-wrapped set before her. He looked up, his eyes meeting hers. He smiled, but said nothing. Her smell was intoxicating, the very image of her breathtaking. He turned and took the two steps to his own chair, and sat down. It was clear to see at that point that the flowers were in fact, a bit much. As round and beautiful they were, the shape of it was perfectly large enough to block his view of the magnificent form he had expected to see when he sat. A slight growl escaped his lips, and his hands went towards the flowers.

Feline stretched luxuriously while waiting for Gwarn to return. Her wings were tucked neatly behind her as she settled herself more comfortably on the stool. Her tail was lightly swinging back in forth practically shouting out her contentment to all who looked on. She enjoyed the view as Gwarn came back. His eyes had a spark of fire in them that made it hard to look away. It felt good to be treated like a lady. She'd been so lost for so long since she came to Gaia. The war had given her something to focus on, but since then she'd felt brushed under a rug. Gwarn was treating her like he knew who she was back home. The flowers were beautiful and thoughtful. Feline leaned over to smell them at the same time Gwarn reached for them and flung them out of the vase. Feline looked at him wide eyed for a second or two, her nose still inches from the now empty vase, and then burst out laughing at the expression on his face. She was laughing so hard she almost fell off of her stool. Regaining her composure she quickly rescued one of the poor flowers and dropped it into the vase. The lone flower slightly drooped to the side from the rough handling earlier. “There!” She said cheerfully, “That’s much better.” Feline couldn’t quite hide her mischievous grin at the absurdity of the situation.
