Story
Part One
The Mirror
She was falling into a dark abyss; there was nothing there but confusion and sorrow. Down she fell passing through all of the stages of her life. The inheritance, the death of her first friend, the unperceiving luck that had followed her all her life since her birth. Perhaps that's what destiny had had in store for her since the beginning of time, but she knew that wasn't true. The only thing out there with power was the cosmos.
Sian awoke with a start and fell out of bed and onto the pile of blankets that had been tossed off by her fitful, sleeping frenzy. She moaned and cursed under her breath then brushed her golden hair out of her eyes. All of the dreams she had been having for months had built up to that mess.
Hopefully that will be the last of those dreams, that one had been the worst yet. Sian thought while noting that that dream had included all of her past dreams.
Getting up slowly and changing her clothes she noted that she had a few new bruises on her upper back. They had been showing up every time she had one of the dreams, each time the bruises and swelling getting larger and bigger. Along with that the markings that had started to grow on her hands had spread. On her right hand the markings were Silver, contrasting that on her left hand the markings were Black.
She saw the deep bags under her golden eyes from lack of sleep and noticed that she looked frailer and smaller then ever. She let out a sigh and started to make her way downstairs to make breakfast for herself and her housemate Meru.
