An old Ramen bar that was converted into a restaurant dedicated to only Noodle Dishes. It is a common hangout for many of the people of Konoha.

Maiko walked into Ichiraku Ramen, mostly for the food, but she enjoyed being out of the rain. She glanced around and saw that her favorite seat was open. She always sat on the end of the bar with the wall to her left. She freed her hair from it's restrictive ponytail and ran her hands through it to dry it slightly. "Shōyu ramen with green onions, kamaboko, boiled eggs and chili oil, please." She watched in silence as her ramen was prepared, thinking about the funeral and how the other students seemed to be getting along with each other.
When the bowl was placed in front of her she grabbed her chopsticks and shifted the contents of the bowl left to right, as if to check for some foreign object meant to kill her. She paused as she leaned closer tothe bowl, tugging her mask down. On the left side of her mouth there was a scar, starting from her mouth down her throat, a remainder of her past. Her hair fell to the right side of her face, concealing her mouth completely as she started to eat the noodles.

Slowly, Riku walked through the streets of Konohagakure. Seeing small children playing and citizens run about their business in the sprinkling weather. Riku did not walk long before he reached the Ichiraku Ramen stand. The boy stepped under the slanted ceiling and then went inside. Riku walked towards the stools surrounding the counter and saw a man with dark skin working the wok. Sitting on a stool two seats down from a girl, he laid his head on the table, both arms holding on to his stomach. Another growl came from it before he requested from the waiter “A large shio ramen with rice noodles please.” He said, his order probably being the oldest of the four main ramen dishes, Shio Ramen Soup. Which is a clear, almost transparent dish like the Chinese maotang, and is a simple chicken broth.
The older looking man turned and placed a bowl in front of him, containing noodles and a lightly scented, clear broth. Riku took the chopsticks off the side of the bowl and broke them in half "Itakademasu." He said phlegmatically, stirring the noodles with the chop sticks. Umemaru sat in Rikus lap, staring at the food and licking his muzzle. “You want some of this Umemaru?” he asked his familiar and the fox nodded yes. Using his chopsticks he rose up a noodle and leveled it back down into Umemaru's mouth. Riku ate the rest slowly and was unaware that he was blowing his food so loud that it was annoying.

Maiko heard another person walk in and her eyes quickly glanced over at them, seeing a boy about her age holding a fox. She returned her attention to her food, trying not to slurp her noodles and keeping quiet. While this person beside her was making the act of cooling his soup down noisy, she would hate to hear how loud he was at eating. She pulled her mask up to cover her mouth before she turned over to the other person, "Do you mind? You're kind of noisy..." Her golden eyes seem to glare at him, but she stopped after a couple of moment before she added, "Please?"

Riku looked over, apologizing, "Oh, my bad. I didn’t realize how loud I was being. What’s your name?" Taking a whiff of the air, mostly focusing on the ladies soup, he said, “Let me guess, shōyu ramen with green onions, kamaboko, boiled eggs, and chili oil.” From the ingredients and the pattern she requested them in, Riku drew up a blueprint of the girl. “You have the tendency to be a loner and you prefer to work alone. You probably have a chemical imbalance, and is therefore depressed and isolated from people. The only way to get through to you is gradually, by not making demands for closeness or show need. Its best to give you work that can be done alone. And im guessing since you put that mask over your mouth before you spoke, your very self conscious about whatever’s under it. Like a scar or birthmark…" Riku paused to take a bite of his food and then continued. "Your quite independent and you like to do things your way. You’re also a very relaxed individual but one who is always in thought and aware of things.”
The reason why Riku could read her so well was because he had spent a lot of time in the shop growing up. Seeing many different people come through. He began to notice that people with similar characteristics would order the same thing. Ryo looked over at her with a sort of unenthusiastic manner “How am I doing so far?” Looking back down again at his food not expecting for a reply from the girl. “You should order a side of salmon with your ramen next time. I mean, I wouldn’t, because I don’t like salmon. It smells like fish.”

"If you want to know someone's name it's best you give your name first. It's Maiko. Maiko Wakahisa." She was about to turn back to her food when she listened to him rattle on about what she was right, some of them were incorrect...but it didn't help that most of them were true. She whirled to face him, her chopsticks pointing at his face, "I don't have a chemical imbalance, I just perfer to be by myself." She could feel her ears burn with embarassment as she stared at him. He acted like he knew everything about her. She stood up and moved to the stood next to him, grabbing his hand.
She brought it up to her covered lip and placed one of the fingers on her scar. Slowly she lead it down her neck, stopping at her collarbone, but it seem that the scar ran furthur down, "My brother was the one who gave me this. Right before I killed him."

Riku stood up and his knees buckled in. His eyes were droopy and his stance was wobbly. "Your brother gave you what? A scarf?" It seemed as if Riku was intoxicated but he was perfectly fine. His cheeks blushed thinking she only grabbed his head to pull him in for a kiss. Riku puckered up his lips, closed his eyes, and leaned in. When he got inches from her face he stopped and opened his eyes. "You wish." He said flopping back down onto the stool in a drunken stagger. As he turned around he face planted next to his bowl, almost in it. He pulled out seven yen from his pocket to pay for his meal and fell fast asleep.

Maiko let go of his hand and paid for her ramen, walking out of the store and looking around. She wasn't sure about that guy, thinking he was a bit...odd. She shrugged her shoulders before she walked off toward the training area.

Chancey brushed the drapes hanging from the roof aside as she entered the restaurant. Sitting herself on the farthest right chair, she leaned back to see Vol and Maiko walking slowly towards her. Getting upright again, she called to the Ramen guy behind the counter. "Erm...let's see. Ramen with a load of beef please!" she ordered eagerly. She sat impatiently waiting for Vol, Maiko and her ramen to show up.

Vol sat down next to Chancey with some difficulty, and laughed at how ridiculous he felt. "Ah... forgot... heheh. Um... can I get a bowl of ramen with a little chicken?" He said unsure as he had never really been to this place before. Having focused mainly on school and training so much he had never really gone out to eat.

Chancey received the ramen from the man behind the counter and a pair of wooden chopsticks. She stared into the soup and noodles and began eating. The vapor and mist clouded up her glasses, making her temporarily blind. "Mmm...This stuff is good!" she said, after slurping in a mouthful. She eyed Vol with her still fogged up glasses. "So how are you gonna manage eating this?"

Maiko sat on the other side of Vol, sticking close to the wall. She ordered what she usually got and started to pour a lot of chili oil in it to make it really spicy. She leaned close to her bowl and pulled down her mask a little so she could it, but to everyone else it would have looked like she was about to dip her head in her ramen and eat like that. She slurped up some of the noodles before putting her mask back and started to talk. "So...do you think if we talk to the Kage he will switch the teams around?"

Vol nodded in thanks as he took the bowl, and sat it down infront of him. Picking up the chopsticks he carefully starting attempting to eat. Cringing as he failed his first attempt he got it without hurting himself when he dropped it from above with his head tilted back. Chewing carefully he swallowed the first serving, and nodded to Chancey. "That's how." Vol snickered continuing to eat in his weird way.

Chancey watched Vol eat and smiled, her eyes twinkling. It's been awhile since she had fun. she teased. Then, grabbing her own bowl of ramen, she sipped the soup, burning her tongue slightly. "Ya, sure! Let's go visit the Hokage after we're done eating," Chancey nodded. "By the way, what's with the mask? Isn't it kinda...troublesome?"
