I am SO MAD.
Okay my mom knows about my sexuality now. You know how?
SHE FREAKING WENT BEHIND MY BACK AND READ MY JOURNAL. THAT SNEAKY LITTLE-- ARGGHHHH. scream I can't stand her right now! She knows EVERYTHING. Any trust between us before is now officially GONE FOR GOOD. I CAN'T STAND THIS.
And get this. She thinks it's because i have "issues". She calls homosexuality a disease, and she's sending me to councelling to try to turn me "normal" again. SCREW THAT. NOTHING WILL CHANGE. SHE"S BEING SO ANNOYING ALL THE TIME NOW.
And. She says she doesn't want me going on Gaia anymore. If I'm not on Gaia as much anymore, you'll know the reason.
And she says anime is bad now because at the last convention there was yaoi and yuri events. THATS LIKE SAYING, "HUN BOOKS ARE BAD BECAUSE SOME OF THEM HAVE GAY PPL MMKAY." >_< Rooooarrr.
So I'm extremely pissed right now. Merry Freaking Christmahannakwanzakahfestivus my friends.
Sorry for that venting session. But has anything like this happened to anyone else here? If so please tell me if you have any advice crying

1. Terribly sorry. I can't imagine my mom nosing in my buisness. (thankfully)
2. That's a big no-no. Privacy should be respected, especially the older a person is. 3nodding
3. Is your mom catholic? Becuase it sounds as if she as the same biased approach to homosexuals as my teachers do.
4. Tell her that nothing is a disease without medical evidence. And if anything, Catholics believe most homosexuals are 'made' by having poor home environments. In boys cases, it's failing at eye hand coordination related sports. Or by those damn molesting priests. ninja
5. Anime is good. So are books. It's the bible that's bad. xp
And that was me complaining about the Catholic church. Why do I go to a Catholic school... ><

That's awful! I hate how parents react! They are the last people you want to tell, because of how ******** up they can be. gonk Give it time. After the shock wears off, they may loosen up. Just don't fight what they're doing to you. You'll move off and escape it soon enough. Live your life, and love who you want. Oh...if you're couselor is of the same sex as you, flirt. >:3 XD

Aw, I'm sorry to hear all that... unfortunately, I haven't been put in that kind of situation yet... but I'll try my best to help out. ^^;
You're mom at this point might just be in crazy shock... I agree that you should just let her calm down and take it all in. I mean, if she was opposed to it at first then she'll definitely be rash when she first hears about it. And if she doesn't, you gotta tell her straight-forward that you're not changing and that this is who you are.
Which brings up another point: Go you for not changing! It's best that you stay that way you feel makes you happy and comfortable. =)
Anime isn't bad either... its god. Keep on watching or reading, whichever you prefer. ^^
As for the counseling... well, you could always try to get the person off-topic and start ranting on about some other topic or problem you're having instead of discussing your sexuality. In other words: use it to your advantage but for a different reason. =)

Man, that sucks... and especaly that thing about flirting with your counciler. Sounds good! and as for gaia. See if you can sneek onto a computer when she carn't look over your shoulder, a friends house mabey?

That sucks. My aunt is the same way, and I can just imagine the kind of s**t I'd be in if she had any idea I liked girls confused
Good luck, and what kind of councillor does she want you to see? Because any repudible psychologist or psychiatrist would know that homosexuality is not classified as a mental disease, hasn't been in quite a while, and is not "curable".

But then I play this scene in my head, and I'm saying, "LOOK MOM IM BURNING YOUR READING MATERIAL." Then she goes "I'm sorry! I love lesbians! Yay!" and then a group hug and everything's all better. That would be great. Better than an Ipod for Christmas. stare

There are so many things I could say to that...none of them are all that decent. Your mother had no ******** right to read your diary. And talk to the shrink if that's what she's having you do. Have him or her tell your mom what the APA (American Physchiatric Association... and a bunch of other national organizations like that) says about sexual orientation. The shrink should tell them you are born with it. Show her PFLAG... it should help.

Now that she knows, you gotta organize what you're going to do because the more you panic the more you'll keep worrying and not know what to do. I can understand that you're under a lot of stress now because of what you're mom did, but since you're mom has done it, it's kinda up to you to take the situation in to your own hands and really figure out what to do... we're all here for you, too. ^^

If you still want to keep a diary I suggest keeping an electronic on your computer. Even if it's a famialy computer just use strong encryption. Use something like 256 bit AES (the U.S. Goverment uses that for Secret and Top-Secret classifyed data) Webpage Title AES cypher wikipedia page. Even if it's a family computer then you can just hide the program used to do the enycription somewhere and you can send the encyrpited journal and store it somewhere online. You chould even give the encrypted copy to one of us, were not going to be able to read it without the encryption key. Just get a flash disk and store the key on that. Then even if your mom were to find your E-diary and the encryption software and deltete it. the Keys would be on a hidden flash disk. and the diary would be somewhere on the internet. 3nodding

Nuuuuuuu MEGA DISRESPECT FOR PRIVACY! *smotes duck-tape-chans mother for reading her journal* Anyways now that that's over with the logic may resume... I think you should take Baka's advice and get the Therapist to tell your mom that you were born gay and are going to die gay ^_^
