User Image -Sailor Polaris, secretly crystal academy student Aurora Namid, was FAR from technologically blessed. She could hold her own when it came to practical uses. Make a spreadsheet, use email, surf the web occassionally for information needed. But the whole technology craze seemed to have bypassed the teen. Her ipod played music.. her cellphone made calls. She'd heard of things like MyFace.. and Tweeter.. and stuff. But all and all.. she was not one with worldwide web.

It was only infact.. her research while trying to figure out some way to set up a secure and private forum that she stumbled upon something miraculous and exciting. Streaming videos of unfamilar senshi... in the familar landmarks of her city. She stared for a long while, the volume turned way low. Why hadn't she thought of something like this? She'd thought of gathering other senshi together.. but this.. this could actually be the carrot to pull some of them out of the woodwork.

And so she'd sent that anonymous little note to the account that had uploaded the videos. And here she was as a cold Thursday late night became a Friday early morning, fingers brushing softly against the small bits of skin that weren't covered by her fuku. Her eyes glanced up at the darkened bakery she stood outside of before carefully surveying her surroundings again.

It could be a trap after all.-

((I set it as a regular, if you'd like it to become a battle at some point I'll change the title ;D ))

She had a utility bag now - it just didn't do that everything in her pockets disappeared and became totally useless when she henshined up. What were you supposed to do if you needed something that wasn't part of the basic Senshi toolkit? (Which was to say, there wasn't a basic senshi toolkit, and anyone who told you there was was lying.)

Hence, the miniature messenger bag draped over her shoulder, holding basic camera equipment, a length of rope, and a few other essentials. Her henshin pen Tallulah held closer, gripped lightly in the kangaroo pocket of her sweatshirt as she headed for the meet-up spot (what if this was a trap?), her hood pulled tight over her head and a pair of ski goggles obscuring her eyes like a mask, her mouth covered in a dark scarf.

While the message had been anonymous, she wasn't keen on taking any chances - what if the Senshi who had contacted her was really a classmate? Tallulah knew from experience that she wouldn't be able to recognized them, but they would certainly be able to recognize her, and what if things got troublesome and she had to transform? It was better to dress like an antarctic explorer and hope for the best.

She saw the awning of the bakery from across the street and crossed, not even bothering to check for cars this time of night. And yes! There was the Senshi.

"Hi," said Tallulah, reaching into her bag. She held up her camera. "I'm the girl from Youtube. Should we get started?"

She thumbed the camera on.

"Okay, uh, just for the record, I can edit it out later if you want, could I get your name? You're Sailor....?"

-She was a little taken aback by the... mysterious stranger that appeared through the darkened streets, and in fact, clutched one fist cautiously. It was... suspicious.. in a way. But was it any more suspicious than an actual senshi? Sailor Polaris had the luxury of magic to hide her appearance, so.. it kind of made sense the mask and scarf.

She'd keep a careful eye on the other figure nonetheless. Last thing she needed was a familar Lt popping out of those duds.

A feminine, that was surprising!, but unfamilar voice greeted her, and as the question arose, she nodded softly. The last time Aurora had been taped, with her knowledge atleast, was a grade school play. Hopefully she wouldn't screw up that badly.. .not while there was like.. taped evidence of it. Oy.-

"No need to edit it out." -She replied, waving the idea away with her now unclenched hand.- "It'll make me easier to find if someone needs some help or whatever."

-Shifting gently, to get the blood running through her legs again, she lifted her fingers to her forehead in a soft salute, grinning at the camera as she spoke.- "Sailor Polaris, guiding light from the north, senshi of magnetism at your service."

-Where were the green eggs when needed them?-

Tallulah could tell that Sailor Polaris was holding her at a bit of an arms length, and to be honest she didn't blame her. Negaverse agents had dressed up as senshi before, who was to say they wouldn't dress like civilians as well? If there was anything to be said about the negaverse, it was that they played dirty.

Then again, Sailor Polaris had been the one to contact her, not the other way around, so if she was suspicious of Tallulah, one had to wonder what she was expecting.

"The camera loves you," smiled Tallulah. Of course she'd edit or mask over her own voice later, just a matter of precaution. This video was already seeming staged, she'd have to edit it later-

"You're in charge here," she explained quietly to the senshi, "So whatever you want to do, just do it and I'll film."

This was so, so, so staged, and so, so, so dangerous. Like, really, Tallulah knew better than this. She knew better than to let a teammate turn herself into negaverse bait.

"Just don't do anything stupid," she added weakly. On the bright side, she could always keep this video in case she needed to expose the whole thing as a hoax.

-The bit of encouragement did it's work, bringing Polaris' smile to something of a glow. Perhaps.. if she hadn't been such a prude in her life Aurora might have found modeling to be quite the joy. The thought was stricken however as quickly as it had cropped up as the reins were turned to her. She knew very little about film.. so hopefully the other girl would help her if she slipped up.. but for now.-

"If you have any questions feel free to ask. Otherwise, I'll give a small overview as we patrol."

-Motioning with a soft nod of her head, she turned, beginning to walk quickly down the street, voice lifting lightly as she moved, visably checking alleyways they passed. This... was probably not what Tallulah had imagined when she got the invitation. And Polaris was dreadfully oblivious as to how bad of an idea it was. She had good intentions after all. And good intentions always worked out. Right..?-

"The sailor senshi are forces of good here to protect the people from the forces of evil. The evil.. are called the Negaverse. They attack people directly or through horrible monsters. They're very powerful and very dangerous.

We senshi patrol day and night for signs of trouble. It is our duty to bring the evil to justice and keep the civilians safe."

-She turned at this point, glancing knowingly at the camera.- "That said, I encourage everyone to stay inside when possible, especially at night. If you see monsters or senshi in the area, your best bet is to get out of the way and get someplace safe. Do not try to be a hero"

"The Negaverse are well armed. And we have been gifted with powers to help take them down. Even that is sometimes not enough though.... "

"Would you like to see my powers?" -She chirped suddenly, pleasantly.-

"Stand back, and pan wide. If you have any way to do it, you may want to tie the camera down, otherwise hold on and hold on tight." -She called, as she jogged a few feet into the street, glancing around as she attempted to find 'something' to attack.-

"...That might not be such a good idea," said Tallulah, and took a step back anyway. This wasn't how the videos went, and what if Sailor Polaris could only use her attack once, like she could? How long did it take to reset? What if they ran into something really dangerous later? She'd made a promise to herself not to henshin up unless things got really bad.

But now she had to convince Sailor Polaris not to do it. "Hold on," she said, and shut off her camera.

"'I don't think it's such a good idea to do that," she said, in a metered, even tone. She was making this up as she went, and if she got ahead of herself she wouldn't be able to keep up. "I mean, if you show me exactly what you can do, and I post this on youtube, which is, you know, the internet, which is, you know, public-"

Giselle had brought this up over coffee, though she had phrased it as the negaverse catching her editing. But the same went for the videos themselves. "The negaverse could use this to figure out exactly how to take you down. My videos are usually more of a... a blair witch thing."

Which was to say, shaky as hell and vague on what the action was. A negaverser wasn't likely to figure out how to take someone down watching them fight a youma from a distance.

"I'm sorry, maybe this wasn't such a good idea," she said.

-She'd been preparing herself, taking inventory and getting ready when she suddenly paused, looking towards the mystery filmer with a soft look of confusion. She did not understand the filmographic reference, but she did understand the uncertainty.-

"It's really not that much more different than a battle scenario" -As of yet.. had she ever beaten anything with one hit? Not that she could recall. The concern was nice.. and it was true her powers had been used against her in the past.. mostly her own fault. But what could they really DO to take her down just by knowing she flung metal?

The other girl seemed nervous though and Polaris faltered. It'd seemed like such a good idea at the time. Still actually.. seemed good to her, but if the one filming wasn't interested, there wasn't much she could do about it. The senshi gave in with the soft pursing of her lips.-

"Let me escort you far enough that I know you'll get home safe?"

"I'm sorry," said Tallulah, shaking her head. "I'm sorry, thank you for coming out here, it just doesn't seem like such a good idea anymore." Still, Sailor Polaris looked disappointed and Tallulah knew she was acting a bit suspicious and hinting at knowing more than she did.

She was about to turn down the offer of a walk home, but then again, Polaris had just warned her of the dangers of Youma and Negaverse agents and it would seem odd to risk it. She was supposed to be an ordinary civilian, after all, wasn't she?

"Yes, sure," she nodded. "It's not far, just past the park- you know, the one with the wrecked playground? That blue elephant?"

It was sad when your nightly escapades became navigational points.

"Don't worry" -She smiled politely. If situations were different.. she might have made a little fuss, but there was no point now. If even the camera girl knew the truth.. she supposed she'd helped atleast someone.

And who knew, maybe they'd even run into something dangerous before the night ran out.

Switching direction towards the park as directed, she waited for the other girl to set the pace, asking mildly.- "So what made you start shooting your senshi videos anyway? It's kind of dangerous for someone without powers."

"It's dangerous enough for senshi.. we've actually lost a few.."
PostPosted: Mon Feb 15, 2010 10:53 am

"I wanted to see who was trashing Meadowview in the middle of the night," replied Tallulah bluntly. "And then I decided... I decided people deserved to know the truth, and no one was talking about what was really going on... so I kept taking the videos."

This was shaky evidence at best, even if it was the truth, and some of the videos looked like they definitely had to have been taken by someone incredibly close to the action, in dangerous, dangerous spots.

"I've got to admit, some of the videos," she said, "Some of them, once things got dangerous I just left my camera and came back later."

(This was true. She'd been Peter Parkering for weeks, rigging it to film while she'd fought.)

"You've lost a few?" she asked in surprise. She hadn't heard about this. "How? Who?"

Or maybe that was asking too much from her guise as an apparent civilian.

"Or is that too much to ask?" she asked.

-She looked visably impressed, nodding her head gently. There were sailor scouts who cared and did less then this 'civilian' did. While she couldn't dare praise the girl or suggest she continue, she couldn't help but wish more were as driven.

The admission of leaving her camera brought a soft laugh to the senshi. Not a mean one, more amused then anything.- "That's very clever actually."

-As the question shifted, she nodded, rubbing the back of her head lightly with a hand. She really didn't know as much as she often tried to make it appear, so she played off loosely.- "I don't know that names are that important. But I know Sailor Nova and others have been lost completely. Corrupted to the negaverse."

"And other senshi have been hospitalized." -Pausing a moment, she glanced away at the soft sound of scurrying in an alley, turning when she noticed the feline figure slip out and continue down the street.- "I know Sailor Nerissa looked like she'd been hit by a truck... The hosptials have had alot of business since the negaverse started reeking havoc.."
PostPosted: Mon Feb 15, 2010 3:00 pm

The girl nodded sagely, or as sagely as one could nod while wearing ski glasses and a muffler. Tallulah was understandably a bit boggled by all this - she'd never even heard of Sailor Nova and Sailor Nerissa, let alone what had heard of them; she was so out of the loop!

Her eyes also focused on the cat, perhaps a bit too much. Was that...? If that was a guardian cat, they were both in a tremendous amount of trouble. She exhaled audibly when she saw it was a very ordinary looking tabby.

"This is, really- thank you," she said, still trying to keep up the bewildered civilian act. "I'm sorry I couldn't keep filming," she added lamely, "It just didn't seem like such a good idea. You guys are so imporatant and I wouldn't want to help the negaverse at all."

Oh yes, Tallulah Cowden had learned her lesson.

"My neighborhood is this way," she said, pointing out a right turn. She intended to dismiss herself a few blocks from her house, still in the name of protecting her identity...

It crossed her mind that maybe she ought to let Sailor Polaris in on her identity as Sailor Europa, but then again now wasn't the time.

-Despite the abrupt ending, tonight hadn't been such a flop. As it turned out, Polaris seemed just as pleased to be playing teacher for one person as she'd been for the whole interweb. As the mystery girl's words lifted, she nodded proudly.- "We do the best we can between juggling real lives."

-Ohh.. perhaps that'd been too much. Perhaps it was best civilians thought they were like.. some super heros from another planet.. not.. little school girls and boys playing dress up. Hoping the other girl wouldn't probe at that particular line anymore, she piped up again.-

"Alright then. You live in a house, not a dormitory?" -For some unknown and completely illogical reason it seemed safer to her.. but maybe that had something to do with her little run in with Lt Serandite on the Crystal Academy campus...-
PostPosted: Tue Feb 16, 2010 9:10 am

"Do you go to Crystal?" asked Tallulah, the question about dormitories throwing her off for a moment. Well, why shouldn't there be senshi at Crystal, she berated herself. There were senshi at Meadowview and Hillworth, after all!

She realized her gaff a moment later. "Sorry, too much to ask?" she winced. She didn't think that she herself had exposed whether she went to Meadowview or was simply a day girl at Crystal, but didn't think it much mattered. She wouldn't have recognized Sailor Polaris even if they were best friends as civilians.

"I mean," she fumbled, "I figured you guys had to have civilian identities, like Clark Kent- He puts on his glasses and no one ever realizes he's Superman, yeah? You henshin up and--"

This was saying too much. If Sailor Polaris hadn't realized by now that Tallulah knew more than she was letting on, either she was willfully ignorant or she was just plain dense. Even if she had believed the story before, the video vigilante's knowledge of that specific verbage was a bit odd. Tallulah had exposed herself and she knew it.

She reached into her sweatshirt's kangaroo pocket and reluctantly held out her henshin pen.

"Please don't tell," she whispered. "Please."

She was in for it now. The jig, as the omniscient they tended to say, was up.

-She hadn't planned on answering the school question, just as concerned as the other girl in keeping her identity atleast mildly under wraps. And she'd been willing to accept the little secret identities bit too. But that word, henshin, had made her stop in her tracks, staring at the other girl.

She didn't have to wait long for an explaination, eyes widening softly at the pen in her hand. It was different from hers, but certainly close enough for her to recognize it's purpose.

The whisper received a nod, and a soft smile.- "Don't worry. Senshi have to have each other's back"

-If she'd thought about it a little, about the possibility of a negaverse person yoinking a pen, she might have kept quiet. But she was always more of a leaper than a cautious thinkering. Lowering her voice she tapped her chest softly, rewarding information with information.- "Yes I go to Crystal. Aurora Namid."
