(11:00:15 PM): "Does she tell you what to do, and you do whatever she says? That makes her your boss." Gavivi told him, sitting down and sticking her nose in the air, "A boss tells you what to do, and you do it. If you stop doing it, find yourself a new boss. Better boss. That's much better." She nodded her head, keeping up with herself as best she could. Far too much thinking. She didn't much like it.
"I think you should find a new Boss. Someone who knows that they're a boss, and tells you to do stuff you like to do." Gavivi said, though she knew she was thinking again. She had to stop doing that. It was going to get her into trouble.

(11:18:00 PM): "But I don't do what she says all the time, and I don't want a new sister! Two is enough," he pouted. "
"Why would I go looking for a new sister? And if I don't do what she says me then I'd have to find a new one and I'd have four! "
He shook his head, "That's just dumb! If that's what you're boss says he's dumb!"

(11:23:12 PM): Gavivi reached out to swat him, her hair standing on end a little. How dare he call her boss dumb!? Anyone who called the boss dumb was an idiot! And she knew her orders. Anyone who said bad things about her boss had to die. Bad to say bad things about boss. Raised disruption. Had to stop that before it started.
"You leave your old master stupid! Not a sister, sister's are stupid, you find a boss! A boss is not a sister, a boss is someone who tells you what to do and keeps you safe!" She snapped, getting angry, "Leave your stupid sister and find a boss! Bosses are better than family! Family is stupid!"

(11:48:57 PM): He ducked to avoid her blow, just barely getting out of the way. He backed off, eyes wide.
"What? No! Family isn't stupid! Family cares about you, and worries about you and is always there when you go home! I don't want a boss!"

(11:56:53 PM): "But you said you don't like your sister, so how is she there for you?" Gavivi asked, getting confused all of a sudden, "You said your sister tells you what to do, so that makes her your boss... but you don't like what she tells you to do, you think she's annoying... so that makes her a bad boss. Which makes your family stupid. I like my boss. My boss is my family. He's smart, he tells me to do things I like."
Too much thinking. She didn't like all this thinking. It didn't make any sense. She'd have to have boss explain it later. He was, after all, the only family she had ever really known.

(12:04:04 AM): "I love my sisters!" he replied. Staring at her he had to wonder if he should be running. His sisters told him to be gentle with others, but he'd never had anyone attack him before!
"She tells me what to do but I don't have to do it! I tell her what to do somethimes too, but I'm not her boss. I tell her to play with me and to go hunting! Stuff like that! I don't know if she's smart as your boss but she's not stupid!"

(12:10:40 AM): Gavivi stared a moment, very confused, "I don't get it." She sat back down, tilting her head towards him, "How can you love someone who annoys you, and you don't want any more of? I wanted another boss, and then boss got lady-boss... and she's not boss, but I like lady-boss too."
She leaned forward, tilting her head, "So... I'm confused. Boss is my only family, but we're not related... do you only love her because she's related to you? And she can't be your boss if she gives you orders... Bosses take orders from no one. That makes no sense. I'm confused."

(12:19:35 AM): "It's 'cause she's not my boss," he frowned. Relaxing a bit he settled back down. He kept his eyes on her though. What sort of lion attacked like that?
"I love her because she's blood and she's always been there ever since I can remember. Even after mom died and it was just the three of us... Well... We still had the three of us. You know? And she's never given up or let me down... Don't think she tries to annoy me. She just wants me to be safe and happy."

(12:23:20 AM): "...but doesn't she do that just because you have the same blood as her? Boss did all that for me, and I don't have any of his blood. I just do it because I like making boss happy. Don't need blood. I don't get it." She said again, scratching her head, "I love boss... not like lady-boss, but I love them both. They make me happy. Because they tell me what to do... and I was never good at doing stuff on my own."
She tilted her head again, not liking all this thinking. This was why she needed boss. Boss made sure she didn't get confused like this. "I'm with boss because he never annoys me. Why stay with your sister if she makes you unhappy? Should be around someone who makes you happy."

(12:27:10 AM): "She makes me happy, they both do," he said. "The cubs too. Blood's just a tiny bit of it... Can't say I love mom and she was blood. Can hardly remember her..." he frowned, glancing at the ground.
"You can always find a new boss but he'll never be blood," he paused. "You can still love him like blood. Guess if you love him like blood then he's blood anyways."
He nodded, yeah, that sounded about right.

(12:31:39 AM): Gavivi tilted her head a little, "I still don't get it... how can something that annoys you make you happy? Why would it..." She sighed, "Boss tells me I shouldn't think this much. Only hurts my brain. That's why the boss thinks for me." She said with a nod, "Boss and lady-boss are my family."
That seemed right, didn't it? Boss took care of her. Boss let her do what she liked, as long as she did it to the people Gannon wanted her to do it too. So she liked that. She was happy. And happy rarely happened for her, really.

(12:35:31 AM): "Then he's blood," Steken said with a nod that made the statment look final. "But he's not a sister. Sisters are supposed to be annoying and you're supposed to love them anyways. That's just how it is."
He smiled, happy to clear up her confusion. "Blood is family and family you love no matter what!"

(12:38:16 AM): Gavivi paused a bit, mulling it over a bit, "Yeah... okay. I guess." She said, nodding her head towards him, "That makes some more sense I think." Not really, but it seemed stupid to keep on thinking about it when she really didn't understand a word of it.
After all, she would stick with the boss and the lady-boss no matter what. So that made them special. She would keep them close forever. "Okay."

(12:44:44 AM): Gavivi tilted her head, "You think that I'm nice?" She hadn't expected that. No one had ever actually called her nice before. She was mean. She killed things for boss whenever he wanted her too... but she sort of liked this lion. He was fun. Said a mean thing about her boss, which was not so nice, but aside from that, he was a good lion. She liked him.
"You're a nice lion too. You say good things about people, even when there are things about them you don't like." She said, nodding her head, "I think that makes you good."

(12:50:19 AM): "Everybody does dumb stuff sometimes," he said, parroting something he'd heared Mal say. Azsh had scolded her for that but it hadn't really mattered. Steken never did figure out that she'd been refering to him, all the time.
"I think you're good too. I like how you love Boss even though he's... err... well I guess he's pretty good."
She hadn't said anything bad about Boss.
After a long period of thought on the matter his face suddenly lit up, "Hey! Wanna play?"

(12:53:22 AM): Gavivi tilted her head, "Boss never does dumb stuff. Boss is pretty awesome." Of course, many people would argue that Gannon was insane and evil and would destroy the lives of innocent people, but Gavivi was actually cool with that, so it didn't matter to her so much.
"I've never played really... not since I was okay..." And Boss didn't want her back until dark. "Okay. Let's go play!" And with that, the two of them were off.
