The sun shone brightly and shimmered along the water springing from the fountain high above, reflecting specs of dancing light in the long mid-day shadows of the winter's day.
Around The World In Eighty Days however had decided a sunny spot was much more to his liking, yes, much warmer, and hopefully much more appealing to any who would wonder by. Remembering his first experience in this area however, he made sure to place his human odd bits and bobs in a somewhat organized pile on an abandoned wooden bench (within his sight close by him), the top of which he perched on, flapping his constellation speckled foggy wings for a moment to stop a strong draft from tipping him over.
He cringed a little as it died down and he could fold his wings again. That numb, dull ache wasn't going to leave any time soon. He should have stopped earlier, but he just hadn't been able to resist a trip to his Parent's old roost earlier for a good long chat and some cake crumbs at the old bookshop. "Mon dieux," he sighed to himself feeling the sun warm his feathers, "I needed this perch."

While he was indeed fearful of opening the cut on his back, Sweet Revenge flew to the fountain anyways. A gust chilled him to the core, but luckily blew him in to the area and he made a rare unclumsy landing. He adjusted his scarf and looked up to see Days roosted not far from him. "Hey there," Rev called.Lunar Rover was resting her own wings, perched on a lamp above. Her scavenge for supplies hadn't been fruitful, and she was restrategizing when the sound of her cousin's voice caught the colorful foggy girl's attention. "Hey, Sweets!" she chimed down, wondering if she should join the boys below.

Day's opened his eyes as suddenly he heard his name being called. An odd sensation, as he hadn't been associating with anybody but a constant stream of new pidge most of the time, yet a good feeling.
His heart soared even higher as he looked around the square, then realized Rev beneath him and the bench. Despite his doctor's warning he had flown over here anyway. A large grin spread over his face as he shuffled closer to the edge of the bench to get a bit closer.
"Rev! You came. How's the battle scar doing?" He said the last part a little quieter, some obvious concern present in his face, which turned to sudden surprise as he heard Lunar's bright and cheery voice singing from above. He tilted his head backwards, then gave a small flap of his wings for joy as he saw her. Both his lovely acquaintances were here! "Good-dag Darling!" He called merrily in return. "Come on down!"

A blur of gray sank down to the bench, and Lunar then gave Days a wave before noticing a bandage on Rev. "Sweets, what's this?" she asked, a look of concern flooding to over her calm face.
"Incident with a nail." was all Rev muttered to her before returning attention to Days. "It's doing better, though it hurts if I touch it at all. Like laying on it. ...You know Lunar?"

Days of course hadn't noticed his murmur to Lunar, he had been too busy eying his back with the same concern. He'd come all this way... And that reminded him, of course! He'd come here for a reason, he'd shown some interest in the mint leaves hadn't he? They'd been picked only yesterday, they'd still be fresh.
"Hey Rev." He began with a smile, but his voice began to trail off as their words re-played in his mind, noticing how close together Lunar and Rev were. They were a lovely pair, the emotions strong and bright between them. How he wished he could share that closeness with another, but being a traveling pidge. No. Exactly. He was a traveler, he delighted in meeting others, every day was an adventure for Around The World In Eighty Days! So why did he care now?
His throat seemed to have gone really quite dry, as he gazed at the two blankly totally forgetting where he was for a moment. He snapped back into reality and shook his head in embarrasment. "Oh! Pardone moi. I don't know what came over me there. I, uh," He shuffled back a few paces toward the things he'd collected trying and failing to collect his own thoughts at the same time. "I mean, would you like to take a look at the mint leaves? They have an incredible smell." He finished and nudged them towards Rev, bright eyes locked with Rev's own for a moment warmly, before shyly reverting back to the leaves by their feet. So close...
Stupid, stupid! Why did he care? If he kept acting foolishly he'd scare his new-found friends away... Not that he'd really kept many friends beforehand anyway with his nature to move.

Sweet Revenge was about to reply to Days's 'hey', but the other Pidge had gotten weird for a moment. Was he okay?
Apparently now he was, pushing leaves and talking again. Their eyes met for a second, and it was... Huh. Rev didn't know what it was. There was something there, something Rev felt but couldn't see. What was going on?
"Oh. Thanks. They look great." Smelled great too. Mint leaves were a rarity these days, with how things were going at the flock...
Lunar watched from afar and stifled a giggle, instead deciding to play with her goggles. They looked like a guy and a girl being awkward with one another! But guys! How strange and funny. Did they like each other? Was it possible? She never would expect something like that out of her Sweetie Rev...

Day's feathers ruffled in small embarrassment at Lunar's giggle, so he took cover in Rev's conversation, using it to recover his natural flow of conversation and rid himself of the awkwardness. And there is no reason it should be there. He attempted to convince himself. Just carry on, nothing happened. You're on merchant duty right now and other people's relationships have nothing to do with you.
"Well, they're all yours for a small trade if you'd like them." Days smiled softly. "And tell you what. I've never had tea before. I've sipped at some coffee at an abandoned human cafe's table in Italiano once, aber doch, it was vile stuff, black and gungy and horrible, went down totally the wrong way and got stuck on my feathers. And then I. Well." He laughed a little. "I was flying like a sparrow gone hay-wire for a while after. But that's not the point. What I'm saying is, would you let me try some of your tea for these leaves? Is this a fair trade? If you'd rather keep them for proper paying customers I would understand." He finished, rummaging through his backpack with his beak and tearing out a piece of cling-film he'd found to wrap the fresh leaves in.
