On a sunny day with a cloud scattered sky, the air was cool reminding any warm-blooded being that it was still winter. A lone pale mare wandered through a sparsely forested area, weaving through the young trees of the forest. Her gray eyes curiously scanned the area for anything that called to her to investigate. The sounds of chirping surrounding her, and the mare took time to listening to the chatter among the birds whom were trying to find their nest mate.
The angeni mare stopped before an ancient tree, still bare without leaves, but certainly still alive, filled with birds of different colors and sizes. They were hopping from one branch to another, bickering, or simply socializing with the other birds. The mare could help but be amused by the comical display of two love birds quarreling to only resolve moments after with a cute nuzzle. Oh, the beauty of love! She thought to herself.
Tempest was in a hurry that day. Then too, he was almost always in a hurry to get from one place to the next. It wasn't that he didn't like where he was it, it was just that he enjoyed knowing at he had arrived at the next place he was going to see. What was even more strange about the whole thing, was that.. He had no place he ever had to be. Bright green eyes were lit up merrily, a jaunt to his quick high-steps and more than a little bit of laughter edged the cloud-like stallion. He was a pretty one to be sure, but he had a nice bit of humility thrown in. Oh, he knew his self-worth to be sure.. but that wasn't an inflated number or ego.
He chuckled a bit at his own heavy thinking, approaching and old and rather gnarled looking tree with curiosity. The bite in the air was refreshing, if a bit too nippy... but enjoyable, and something was up ahead to keep him entertained. Picking up a light bouncy trot the stallion went around the tree.. nearly colliding with a pale blue-white mare.
"Oh good lord, I'm so sorry."
Aleshanee was too distracted with the commotion of the birds in the tree before her; she failed to hear the approaching male, which was odd because the stallion had gone around the tree. She tensed up, seeing something at the corner of her eye, and realized he was about to crash into her! The mare took a couple steps back, her wings flaring up in an act of defense, as her heart raced in her chest. That was quite the scare! Her surprised gaze turned to look up to the winged stallion. She giggled without sound, shaking her head at his apology. It was partially her fault too! She was in the way of the stallion.
To apologize, the mare dipped her head down. She moved towards the side, wondering if the stallion was passing through. If he was, she would move out of his way. She had a gentle smile on her face, her wings relaxing to fold back down to her body.
Tempest cursed himself on many levels for his own stupidity, it wasn't often that he had the chance to talk to others outside of his herd and here he was going smashing and crashing into a poor little female. Okay, well she wasn't tiny like an Usdia, but still.. He had the manners of a braying a** when stuff like this happened. Puffing up a little bit and stepping back a respectable distance Tempest puffed up a bit more, splayed his wings out and dipped into a low bow. Slowly, the stallion straightened back up and gave the mare a rather impish smile, "I'm sorry that I about ran you over.. I was curious to get a closer look at the tree and didn't mind my head. I do that too often." There he went again, not minding his head... He'd not introduced himself at all.
Tempest propped up a hind leg and settled in, she had bowed to him as if in apology and he was curious to talk to her now, "I'm Gypsy Tempest, most everybody drops the Gypsy but never the Tempest. It's a pleasure to meet you miss."

Aleshanee curiously watched the stallion with an amused smile shining in her eyes. Watching every movement the stallion made, she could not really put a meaning to the bow the stallion gave her. The mare thought for a moment what that motion could mean, and then came the thoughts of horses bowing down to someone superior to them, like a royal procession. Such a motion did not fit to a status such as herself, mostly because she would like to think of herself living a more humble life. The mare just smiled sweetly to the stallion, once again shaking her head at his apology. She still felt like it was half her fault as well. She could have easily avoided the stallion if she wasn't so distracted! Her ears perked up, and nodded her head! She had done the same thing. The birds in the tree distracted her.
The mare listened to the stallion and nodded her head. She smiled to the stallion, taking in his name. It was an interesting name, and she could see the name fitting him very well. At least, the Tempest part. His colors reminded her of a harsh violent storm, but she didn't get a sense his personality was in any way related to his name. At least for the moment being.
