Cassius was in good spirits for the day. The night before brought in a great win, and he walked away with six hundred dollars of cold hard cash. A normal person would have saved such money but for Cassius it was just a typical winning streak. He usually walked away with a least two hundred dollars on a quiet night of gambling. Six hundred dollars meant shopping for at least something. He had to give himself some kind of praise. Although, the money was nice enough to hold and look at.
As he approached the large department store he felt his mouth frown at the thought of so many people around him. He hated running into people he knew, especially if he didn't like them. But, as he entered the perfume and jewelry section and made his way towards the men's section, he was relieved to blend in just fine and not see anybody familiar. Unfortunately the shirts were all so cheap looking and he definitely didn't need any pants either. Sigh. He supposed he could buy another iPod or something.
When he found himself in front of a mirror, he looked down and noticed his shoes. Now now. They were a bit dirty, weren't they? That gave him enough incentive to make his way over to the shoe section. Luckily for him, there were plenty of shoe choices to admire and check out. And plenty of pretty girls to look at all at once...

Amaravati had shoes. Amaravati had $%#*ing amazing shoes. There was a limit to how many shoes she could manage to find that would suit the Crystal uniform, but there was no limit to the shades of blue, black, and white for them. Sure, she'd had to stick to pumps, basic flats, and penny-loafers, but there was a variety there if one knew what to look for. And $%*#, Amara knew %$*# well what to look for. More to the point, she didn't have to wear the uniform when she was out on the town. Preening over the latest set of absolutely delicious boots that she'd managed to wrangle up, it was no surprise that she nearly walked right into Cassius.
"Woah, watch where you're--" Oooh. Pretty boy. Yes, that was definitely worth taking a second, and maybe a third look at. Pausing mid-scolding, Amara's lips molded themselves into a smile that only looked slightly predatory. "Well hello there. I didn't see you... somehow." Somehow, despite the fact that the young man had golden hair, golden skin, and the prettiest pair of eyes that she had seen this side of Sunday. Huh. Silver. That was interesting. She hadn't seen silver eyes before. ^#@$. She was almost kind of impressed. He was some new kind of exotic.
He was in the shoe section. There was a boy in the shoe section. Willingly, even. Huh. That was new. That was definitely new. "Shoe shopping, I take it?" Her assorted bags full of shoe boxes might just have given away how interested she was in shoes. ... Maybe. But could one really expect a man to be that observant? Surely not! Still, he had caught her interest, and once caught, it wasn't likely to wander anytime soon. Hmmn, hmmn. He didn't seem to be accompanied by a girl, so this was personal shopping... maybe he was just browsing.

Cassius couldn't complain when he noticed who ran into him. Damn. Mighty fine was a good way to describe her. This person was alllll female, and Cassius liked everything about her style. Her hair was long and purple and her eyes had a fierceness he could stare at all day. It also appeared that the female would now pay attention to where she was going from now on. He would have preferred her running into him again...
"Well hello to you too." He finally said while widening his grin into a very cocky smile. "I apologize for blocking your way." Well, no, not really. If she wanted she could spank him or something. His horrible behavior needed some justice it seemed. "I'd never want to distract someone from their shoe shopping." He lowered his eyes to the styles around him and tried to guess which ones the female enjoyed. He could tell she was into trendy things although he didn't know her quite well enough to pick some out for her. With time, maybe.
Before he could dwell on it any further he chuckled at her question playfully. "My shoes are looking janky lately and I think it's time I replaced them. I'm hardly the expert in any of this, though." He was such a liar. "I was about to ask a sales person for some advice since I'm like a lost kitten in here." His voice was somewhat believable but his expression was showing the playful sarcasm. "And what about you? Do you think you can help a lost lad get through all of these shoes? I feel like you'd be a good expert."
Every female loved a good compliment, especially if it involved a superior fashion sense. He'd be an idiot to not take her up on it.
