So as I'm sure you all know by now, I'm one of the international Supernatural viewers. I'm from the good ol' United Kingdom. Last year, our show was picked up by a new channel which has been showing it ever since then - it got me hooked by actually showing promos which featured the storyline, rather than the J's getting fondled. Anyway, this week, the new season starts over here and I figured I'd share some of the amazing promotional tools they've used over here. And when I say amazing, I mean amazing...Such as Marble Arch being set on fire. This was projected on one of the biggest landmarks in London, so that everyone could see our little show was coming back. And this bus stop poster. A specially made glass advertisement with actual water floating inside it, with a message saying 'In Case of Demons, break glass.' There's also a rock salt one around but I haven't seen photos of that one yet. I am very impressed with the effort they're putting into promoting this show. See this CW? This is how you push a brilliant show.

Yes.
The CW does not know how to advertise anything.
Heck, really the only advertisement for Supernatural besides the previews are about 5 sec clips that just show Jensen and Jared.
I've always loved England though (and still want to visit there).
And I absolutely love the bus stop poster. If I saw that walking down the street I would get too excited and embarrass whoever I was with.
And the Marble Arch thing is brilliant. It would be neat to see that around here somewhere.

CW, I HOPE YOU ARE TAKING NOTES. >:
YOU PANSIES.
Seriously, those are like the most EPIC ads I have ever seen.
Compared to that, the CW does nothing. Seriously,
SPN has got to be their least advertised show. They make it
feel like SPN is their dirty little secret.
I see ads on TV, and hear them on the radio,
heck, I have even seen some signs up for their other shows,
but never, ever for Supernatural. They even advertise Smallville more.
And it's not like I live in some distant realm of the States,
I'm in L.A. county! What, do they think all the people living here
are only interested in their drama chick-flick shows? 0:
Because I've seen Gossip Girl and... bleck. It gave me the shivers.
Sometimes I just get pissed off at their lack of effort.
If they did something like that here, it would definitely bring
a whole wave of new viewers. Rawr! I'm half tempted to start
an Ad campaign of my own. xD" Just because I know the more new
viewers we can draw in now, the more likely there'll be another season.

All I can say is...WOW.
Those are just super awesome! What a great creative way to get the word out!
And I agree, SPN should be on another channel. The CW doesnt deserve it, because it does treat it like a b*****d child. "Oh this is our show, but we wont really bring it out in public or nothing. OH HEY, look at my other show! Gossip Girl! See! They're half naked and cry a lot. Isn't that just neat-o!"
BLEH. I hate the CW, except for SPN of course.
If I saw adverts like that though around here I would squee loudly and clap really fast and be merry. 3nodding

I live in a town where probably only 10 of us watch this show. Plus, it's considered the "country" so there's no posters or nothin' around lol. I just have to scream at people when I see them,
"HEY! Watch Supernatural! It's a good show!!!!"
"HEY YOU WITH THE FACE! WATCH SPN ON THURSDAY NIGHTS!"
They should pay me for all this advertising i'm doing. razz

I might do that today, got to go out, may as well make it fun for myself by yelling at random people.
I'll already have my minion badge on.
There are also full page ads in newspapers today and this paper which hates EVERYTHING has told people to watch it.

That's so cool! The only way to know about shoes here is getting on the internet or catching a commerical on tv. Ahhhhh. But it's awesome that SPN is getting all kinds of publicity over there! I just wish here in the US we could do the same for them!!
