This is a private RP between Jianyu [Kuro-Mizuki] and Bataar [Kayakurai].

Setting:
A busy day on Main Street.

This was exactly what Bataar hated about the city. People had no respect whatsoever for personal space here and that was something that irritated Bat to no end; he was accustomed to rural areas and farmland, not all of these tightly-knit knots of people nearly preventing the burly youth from movement altogether.

He didn't understand how people could stand for their personal bubbles to be violated in such a way and was accordingly angry about the whole thing. In fact, he was so angry that he'd decided to be particularly violent today as he attempted to trot along; some people were getting painful little tugs at their hair while others received agonizing pinches. When they turned to search for the culprit however, he was gone, having ducked into the crowd to create more in the way of chaos. Bataar wasn't just doing this for fun, either. It was merely a form of entertainment on the side as he tried to squeeze through the crowds to arrive at his destination; of course, that looked like it might take another hour at the very least at the rate people were moving along.

The Lunarian let a drawn-out groan of horror escape his lips as he strained to see beyond the crowds in the direction of his end point. It was nowhere in sight and he'd made little progress thus far, especially since he'd decided to torture people while he went on his way. "Damn it!"

The street was crowded enough for Jianyu to dart through and meld into the throngs of talking, laughing people. Hidden behind a nearby fish stall, he peered around the edge, seeing the dark head of his mother's bodyguard disappearing around the corner of the street a few yards off. The man had been tailing him since he had left the house early that morning, and Jianyu wanted some time to himself, as he always did. He felt slightly claustrophobic surrounded by all of the people around him, though, and the fish stall keeper was giving him a suspicious look, so Jianyu slipped away, moving through the people milling around him at a rapid pace.

"Ouch!"

He had been looking down too much. Jianyu rammed his nose into something hard and solid, and he stumbled backwards, his hand automatically rising to cover his face. Looking up, his eyes landed on the source of his discomfort; a tall young man with dark skin, dark hair, and a the gleaming glare of irritation in sharp green eyes.

Jinayu stared.

"I'm sorry." he said quietly. "I was not looking where I was going. Please accept my deepest apologies."

As was his usual habit when something unexpected occured, Bataar let loose a string of obscenities. It wasn't that the other Lunarian who'd run into him had done any harm or that he'd even caused Bat to budge; on the contrary, he had a feeling the other boy had done more damage to himself.

Once he'd recovered from his surprise, the dark-skinned youth surveyed Jianyu, a scowl on his face. "And what's your sorry going to fix, huh?" Bat growled, puffing out his well-defined chest in an effort to look both terrifying and awe-inspiring. "I mean, what are you going to do for me now that you've run into me? I can hardly accept your apology without a good hard beating!" Bataar laughed harshly at his own joke as he punched Jianyu none-too-playfully on his shoulder. Then again, the two of them probably had a completely different concept of 'playful'.

"How do I know you're not going to run around looking for other victims to run right into?" Bataar grinned viciously, brushing a lock of hair out of his eye. He had a feeling he realy wasn't going to make it anywhere today.

Jianyu stumbled backwards as the young man pushed his shoulder with a force a bit stronger than a casual nudge. His face flushed.

"I...I don't run into people on purpose." he said, casting a confused glance at the Lunarian in front of him. He did not know what he was insinuating, but it did not sound nice. He vaguely wondered if it was a joke, but he was not good at distinguishing between teasing and real irritation.

Which was making him feel more than a little awkward at the current situation.

Jianyu moved his hand away from his face, his nose still smarting slightly from his run-in with the young man.

"Please," he repeated. "Accept my apologies if I have caused you any sort of discomfort. I haven't...I was not looking where I was going."

"Hah!" Bataar barked, his green eyes glowing; he was definitely in his element. "You know, I really couldn't tell. Don't deny it if you're really that rude." The burly boy cried enthusiastically-- well, for him. To his victim he was probably coming off as simply offensive. That simple matter had no weight to Bat, however; he didn't care as long as he could be his crass self and have fun in the meantime and this particular situation happened to fit his definition of fun perfectly. He saw this as a show of strength on his part, although in actuality that probably wasn't the case.

The Lunarian blinked, taken aback by Jianyu's apparent sincerity and for a split second he was even considering shrugging and moving on. Then again, that would hardly be fitting. He had to assert his offended self to stay on the top, even if it was only in his mind.

"Like I said, what will you do for me to make me forgive you?" Bataar made a show of examining his maroon-tinted nails although he shot glances at Jianyu every so often just to see how the confrontation was going over with the other Lunarian.

Jianyu blinked rapidly, trying to comprehend the situation. His mind was working furiously in an attempt to distinguish whether or not the young man in front of him was being serious or simply brash and obnoxious.

He could not figure it out.

"'What will I do?'" Jianyu repeated. His brow creased as he frowned, one hand automatically reaching up to twist the single braid in his hair. It was a involuntary gesture that he did when he was nervous or anxious, though his expressions usually did not change much. "I...do not...I am unsure as to what you are implying. What am I suppose to offer to do for your forgiveness?"

Bataar grinned, happy to be the cause of whatever confusion Jianyu might currently be experiencing. It was hard to say why he managed to get so much out of situations such as this one, but he always seemed to come out of the torture chamber more cheerful than before.

It wasn't that anything he did was particularly well thought out or even that he was a sadist. This was simply how he'd been raised to see things; he was strong while people like Jianyu were weak, and if that were true, then, naturally, it was his duty to torment them. There was no remorse involved here and he could've done it all day just to get a kick out of it. His form of entertainment was primitive, but for Bat it was... well, entertainment.

"What will you do? In my homeland someone like you might be rewarded with the position of a lowly slave." Bataar smiled proudly despite the fact that it wasn't true. Still, he'd figured out enough to know that the more primitive you appeared the more afraid people generally were of you.

Slave?! Jianyu thought, and his eyes widened at the thought. The young man standing dominantly in front of him couldn't have been much older than he was, yet he was lithe and muscular, and Jianyu could see that he was obviously very strong. Strong enough to take him by force, if necessary.

"I..." Jianyu said, for once at a complete loss for words. He clasped both of his hands together and bent forward in a low bow, his face to the ground as he said quietly "Please forgive me for any physical or mental discomfort I may have caused you!"

The whispers and stares around him were most likely people staring at Jianyu, and he heard a few snickers at his bow, but he kept his position, trying to keep his respect towards the other young man.

Bat placed his hands on his hips, standing on his toes simply to appear even taller and more formidable to the other Lunarian. He was getting a kick out of the profusity of the apology and his smirk revealed as much. Bullying others consisted of a key portion of his life; it may have been childish, but it was certainly fun and even a little empowering at times.

"I'm afraid I can't forgive you so easily." Bataar declared, grabbing Jianyu's shoulder and pulling him up from the bow. His thought was that he should act courteous to be somewhat convincing. "My customs simply won't allow it. Especially because I'm sure to have a bruise now!"

The Mongol was hardly going to be bruised the next morning but he was fascinated to see how far he could go with the other youth. His mother would've given him a downright smackdown if she knew he was lying about the customs of the Jaorets in order to take advantage of someone, though. That was something that might leave a bruise or two.

Before Jianyu could react, he had been yanked forward, the other young man's hand gripping his shoulder. He blinked rapidly, trying to comprehend the situation, and his mind worked furiously to understand the other young man's words.

A slave? His customs? What have I just gotten myself into?

"My apologies, but I..." Jianyu's voice stopped, and he cocked his head, frowning slightly. "Please, I don't even know your name. Tell me so that we may discuss what is to be done. I am Qian Jianyuu, son of Qian Liwei. You are...?"
PostPosted: Thu Feb 18, 2010 3:24 am

Bataar grinned, evidently enjoying Jianyu's confusion. The youth was feeling quite the rush due to the ploy working out in his favor; after all, he must have looked so tough right now. His motives were driven by his firm belief that pushing people around facilitated strength. It didn't matter if other people believed otherwise, either, to Bat; he was often too close-minded to want to consider the opinions of others.

The Mongol looked blankly over to Jinayu as he made an introduction and shrugged agreeably; he had to admit that he didn't see the point, but it might be a little easier to enslave the other Lunarian.

"I'm Bataar." The maroon Lunarian declared, hardly formal about it. He neglected mentioning his father, whom he'd rapidly lost any respect for in the last few years. "Now, we've got to discuss your punishment." He cracked his knuckles, feeling quite like he was the epitome of toughness and manliness. Due to his intelligence level it wasn't often that he managed to take advantage of someone.

The maroon Lunarian's name was Bataar, but Jianyu still had no idea how on earth he had gotten himself into this situation.

He supposed he could fight. Negate the accusations by pointing out that the other youth had run into Jianyu just as much as Jianyu had run into him. But that could be messy, especially in a crowded street.

Although it seemed like he couldn't very well talk the situation out. It seemed like this young man - Bataar - was not one willing to discuss things rationally. The muscular figure standing in front of him was evidence enough of his strength.

He chose the former.

Reaching behind him, Jianyu carefully withdrew an arrow from his quiver, the bow tied to his back easily accessible. However, he didn't remove it, and instead simply held the arrow in his hand, staring at Bataar with a slight frown on his face.

"Please." he said again. "I do not wish to fight you, but I have no intentions of entering into slavery for you. Please, let's discuss this with some civilization."
PostPosted: Sun Feb 21, 2010 2:01 pm

Bataar watched in surprise as Jianyu withdrew the arrow from its quiver, not looking at all pleased at the evident threat the weapon held. This happened to be about the point where things got serious; this guy had apparently taken his taunting much too far, after all. "As if you could beat me in a fight in the first place." Bat snorted, doing his best to look unimpressed. His mother often told him that it was better to be the bigger man(which Bataar almost didn't understand, objecting that he was the bigger guy in most, if not all, of his fights) and to remain unaffected.

"Pff. I don't want to fight someone with such an obvious disadvantage, anyway!" Bataar crossed his arms, unaware of how petty he must have appeared to the Legioneer before him. He had no weapons with him right now, aside from his fists, and he didn't want to be at such a disadvantage himself. He knew the art of archery and he also knew that if Jianyu was any good he might have quite a few holes in him.

The Mongol tensed very slightly, his green eyes sharpening as he attempted to predict what Jianyu would decide on doing next. He knew he probably had a good chance, but that was only if he could figure out exactly what the other Lunarian's intentions were. Bat would be in some serious trouble if that arrow caught him off guard.

Jianyu supposed just talking wasn't going so well.

Holding his arrow in his clenched hand, he carefully took in Bataar's appearance; the strong, muscular arms that signified his strength, the sheer size of him, towering over Jianyu, and then that confident, cocky smirk that showed no fear. All were signs that he was much stronger than Jianyu, at least physically.

But Jianyu had his bow, and that made him at least feel better about going up against this arrogant young man standing in front of him. Though he did not really know how much of an advantage or disadvantage having his bow would have against sheer physical strength.

Jianyu unstrapped the bow from his back and held it in his other hand. Narrowing his eyes, he lifted his chin.

"You're a Noble." he said, and it was not a question. "I'm against the Nobles."
