This is a random rant I just did in my journal about an hour ago and I really liked, so I would like for you all to read it and give me your opinions on whether or not I should try to use it as one of the essays or papers I would need for my home schooling portfolio. You can start a discussion if you would like, but please just let me know, in a purely analytical way if you think it would suffice as a piece towards my school work.

We humans are greedy creatures. Our use of our minds and dominance over the beasts of the lands have spoiled us; we're egotistic brats. We constantly want or long for what's out of our grasp, even if it's not necessary for our survival. We can't just take what's available to us and be happy with that, no, we must have more. We can't just have a place to live and be happy with that. We constantly want a bigger, better, cleaner, nicer, prettier house. Food We can't just be happy we can get food period. We have to be picky. We have to want a certain thing a certain way. Money - None of us want enough to get by and live. We always want more to spend on things like upgrading from a 48" flat screen LCD TV to a 52"; just cause it's a little but better. We always want the best - and even when we have the best, we still want more. Relationships are no different. People always want the person they can't have. Even if we have someone waiting in the shadows, willing and ready to be our everything, we want that one person who could only possibly be our everything to be it. Why do we though? Is it because they present a challenge and we think ourselves too vain to settle for what we already have? Or are we too prideful to back down from that challenge? Too greedy to admit that we have what we need. We're not only greedy, prideful, and vain; we're gluttons, too, in our greed, pride, and vanity. We hunger for what we need to sustain our lives, and even after we have it, and out hunger's assuaged, we keep trying to force more down by following through with our greed. And our lust is our worst greed and hunger at that, too. We keep trying to get more, just because.

It's thing like this that make me question religion - not God, no, I believe in Him. Some cosmic power had to create this Hell called Earth and us filth called humans. And he created in Sin, I think. Because think about it - Adam and Ever are claimed to have been perfect, right? But if Eve was perfect, then she wouldn't have been so greedy as to want more than what was given to her already. Because she was that greedy was the whole reason she bit the fruit - the greed was there before she even "Sinned." So, that shows that she couldn't have possibly been as perfect and faithful as Christianity and the Bible claim her to be. She disobeyed because her faith wavered. Sure Satan played at it, but he only pulled at what was already there - broken faith. Therefore, we were all created broken and sinful even before what was claimed to be the first "Sin." And if Adam and Ever were the first humans and they only had two sons, Cain and Abel, then how were we reproduced into this over populated race that we are, if not for incest, which the Bible says is wrong (which, in my opinion, it is wrong, but still-)? It's never explained; the Bible doesn't hold all the answers. Far from it; it constantly raises questions. Not to say it isn't a good book; quite the contrary, it's the exact kind of moral guideline people need. But that's all it is - a moral guideline.

God's not a bad person, but he's not exactly the Saint the Bible's portrayed him to be, either, I think. Because He didn't create us so "perfectly," as it says he did. In my opinion, at least. When He created, it was in Sin; we were not hesitant to second guess his authority and disobey Hid word. The way I see it, either the author of the Bible exaggerated and we weren't created in God's perfection; or they flat out lied and God's not perfect, and us being created in His image resulted in that upon us as well. Now, considering I do believe in God and His power, I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and say that He is perfect, we were just never created as so. Supposedly, God is the author of all creation, but has never created anything imperfect or made mistakes. But, if he created Satan and Sin and He looks down on it with disdain, then how is that possible? I say the Bible, and Christianity, is a result of extremists taking their religion and faith too far; God is perfect, but everything He makes isn't; the Bible's a guideline; and we were doomed from the start.

Now, Christians say that if you're not saved, then you won't find peace after Death. They include people of other religions in this - Buddhists, monks. The exact kind of people who make it their entire Lives to cut themselves off from these temptations so they're not consumed by their own sinfulness as well as society's. Personally, I think them better people for that. They aren't so vain, either, as to say their way is the ONLY way, as society's extremist Christians do; they simply disagree. After all, opinions are free-willed. And if God is an all-knowing God and already knows what going to happen to all of us in our Lives, then what's the point of giving us "free-will"? Because if He knows what's going to happen, then our 'choices' just play right into his plan, don't they? Therefore, making free-will an illusion, lying to us. which is a Sin, isn't it? Or is it the fact that everything's already set in stone an illusion? Who's to know. None of us could possibly know how it is for sure - hell, for all we know, this entire Life if a dreamworld, a Wonderland, and when we 'die' is when we wake up and realise we're Alice again and head off to our lesson.*

*Note: This reference of ideology, that Life is a dream and we'll wake up when we die, is an idea told to me by a friend who wished to remain Anonymous when he told me of his idea. Credit goes to him for it, it's not my theory. All else up until that point is all my thoughts, though.

I love the Alice reference.
Honestly, God created us to have free will, and his eyes we are perfect.
Perfection is merely a matter of perspective. See, humans have this idea that things must be in a certain order in a certain way in order to be perfect.
And the reason there evil in this world, so there is a reason for good.

My take on this is that the universe is balanced, and God used the creative power of opposittes to create teh universe. Chaos and Order, Masculinity and Femininity, Logic and Non logic, Good and Evil, Light and Darkness. it's a sad thing to say this, but the universe cannot function without balance. yes, we don't like evil, but evil is necessary for there to be good. Sometimes Evil is needed to test the integrity of good. Chaos is needed to restore Order. Destruction is needed to encourage creation and the rebuilding of soemthign better.

Though will admitt the balance is being thrown off though. What with all the Greed of this country, yeah it is very messed up. I can't stand it either. This is where destruction is necessary. lol.
Every time I see commercials I want to punch the people in them. All people seem to want is more, more , more.
People want more money so they charge you for the air your breath practically. You can just live where you at and be happy, and have money for food and trade, but now you have to have it for just about everything.
You have people scamming people with loans, namely the people who are poor. And the crappy part is we'd get in huge trouble not paying back . Did you know that it use to be immoral to do that. Back in teh middle ages, you were excommunicated from teh church if you gave out loans, made people pay them back with interest.
Now people get away with it all the time, and it's considered " just reality."
No it's Greed.
And liek you said, everyone wants all these bells and whistles for their cell phone, everyone wants a bigger house, everyone wants to be rich and famous.

People have forgotten the gifts that were given to us by God and the universe. The gift of family, friends, and happiness. It's not enough just to have that, and do stuff that you are good at.
Now in order to make it in the world, you have to already have money. It use to be if you have talent, you'd go into an apprenticeship. now you have to pay billions of dollars just for tuition, and that doens't cover books or supplies.
You have women running around having sex with who ever they want because they can get away with it. You have a new pill coming out every week for birth control or any disease that you can think of. It sickens me.
It's ok for women to kill their unborn child, yet it's more difficult for someone get the medical attention that they need for something that is more life threatening. Personally i'd rather have a baby than have a disease.
It's ok to kill a child for a matter of personal gain, to put a stop to what is beautiful because you want more money.
Then you have people who just want power and lie and cheat and do whatever it takes to get it.
The reason people are so horrible now, is because they have forsaken God. They have made money their God. It's not Gods' fault.
Yes, God gave us free will ( because Love is so much better when it's given freely rather than forced.), but people have forgotten about him.People have forgotten about the universe, about he long run, about spirituality, and abbout nature and made this thing called money, something that you will not take with you when you die, their God. Something that really...doesnt' matter.

I agree, this world, really kind of sucks. People disgust me as well.

yes, the Bible is a great moral guideline. Most of the stories probably are symbolic. Also, Keep in mind that back then, Women were considered Inferior, therefore women were to blame for the evil in the world.
It's mostly a story about men coming up with their own idea of imperfection, and not excepting what they have and being ungrateful for what God had already given them. Therefore, they want more and better instead of realizing that what is perfect is right in front of them. That The fruit is a better medicine than that pill your paying tons of money for, or that being poor with people who love you is so much better than having a lot of money with no one who loves you.
It's a symbol of what happens to us when we go through our lives. When we are kids, we just like what we are, we except what is in front of us and take nothing for granted. When we get older, we think that because we are older, we need bigger and better and we forget what we once enjoyed and cherished. In a way, it's a good thing. God intended for us to evolve and change. But unfortunately for all the good in the world their has to be evil.
Luckily, for most people, they learn. As we get into old age, we learn the shades of grey and learn to live as children again. Granted, iff you look at most polititions, they fail as old people, but for the most part, we learn.

though like I said, the world as we know it is becomming unbalanced and soon there will be something taht will balance it again. Just wait. Be patient and keep you faith, and stay wise.
And remember that perfection is a matter of perspective. To God, you are perfect, i am perfect. And as long as we have faith, we will be happy people.

YAY!
Someone gets me!
X3
lol
But yeah, I mean part of the entire reason I even got home schooled was because society today and the people at my school just, AHH!!
I can't stand it all
-_-
Idk, I came up with that randomly at like 3 30 am Monday morning.
It was originally going to just be a a journal entry, but then it turned into all of that.
x.x
My question is, do you think it would suffice as short essay for my ome School portfolio?
^_^
lol
I'd really like to know if I could use that, cause that'd be great!
And it's make my portfolio all the more important to me by including that bit of personal thought. lol

If I were you, I'd get some sources and some examples to back your point, but other than that I don't think it's a bad idea.
