While fall would forever remain Tiarnan's favorite season, the pale alicorn had to admit that the clear winter skies were particularly good for cloud watching. Thoughts of wandering far from his home territory drifted from the forefront as easily as the wind bore away some rebel snowflakes, and Tia was more then happy to see them go. Anyone else would be depressed that their father hated them and the rest of the herd looked at them with either pity, reproach, or an unreadable judgment... but not Tia. Up here in these unknown hills, he could be whoever he wanted to be. Perhaps a traveling priest today? Like Toujours? Or maybe a thinker, one who took particular liking to water movement and it's seasonality. Whichever it was going to be, that too was set aside in favor of adjusting his position in the grass at the top of the knoll he was currently laying at the top of.

Exploring the lands would always be a favourite past time of Nasnan's. She loved being out in the open, with the wind rushing by her, as she discovered something (or somewhere) new. The mare was trotting up hill, in an area she'd never been to.
It had been a while since she had had any contact with any others, especially ones that she didn't know. If she were to be honest with herself, she was probably lacking in the social skill department of her life.
Giving a quick look around, Nasnan noted that she was getting close to the top of the hill that she was on. Shaking her head, she sped up a bit. The mare always found it to be the most rewarding once she got to the top of a hill. Being able to look out over the area was always breath taking, or possibly amusing depending on where you were.
As she reached the top, she slowed to a halt. She wasn't alone. That much was obvious just by looking at the stallion who was adjusting his position. Unsure of what to do, she stood there. After all, she did lack proper social skills.

The pale male had been about to stretch out flat completely when the approach of another captured his attention. Somewhere some part of the stallion had become wary of others after leaving home, so he watched her stand their awkwardly with a slight quirk of his brow and assessing aquamarine eyes. Well, far be it for him to judge anyone, so without allowing his mind to fully take in what the stranger could represent, he looked away. That part of his 'training' was something he was going to work very hard to forget.
Turning back to the clouds, he sighed deeply and finally let himself fall back into the grass. If the mare decided to stay, so be it. If she attacked him, so be it. If she left... so be it.

The naturally coloured female was certainly a friendly mare, however one was normally a bit wary when stumbling upon someone they've yet to meet before. She stared at the spot a few feet away, where the stallion was. Taking him in, she took note of his horn and wings (noting even further that his horn was slightly different from the others she'd seen- longer, and slightly curved), the bit of armour [[I'm assuming that's what it is?]] that was on him, his necklaces, his white body, and then, finally, his long and yellow mane and tail.
Furrowing her forehead, Nasnan took a few more steps forward. She was unsure of whether she should say something to him. As it was, he seemed to not really care about what was going on around him. What if he didn't respond to her? What if he was rude? Heaving a slight sigh, she shook her head. Living on 'what if's' never got anyone anywhere. With a deep gulp, she took a few more steps before speaking up. "Hi..." She left it at that- putting the proverbial ball in his court.

Ah. Conversation.
Curving his neck back around, Tiarnan nodded solemnly at the mare, nothing fancy or rude, just a simple, mellow, greeting.
"Good afternoon." He replied after a moment, noting that his voice had come out with a bit of a rusty quality to it. He cleared his throat briefly, and gave a slight shake of his head.
"My apologies, it has been some time since I have had reason to bespeak another."

She gave a nod at his explanation; it made quite a bit of sense in her opinion. Stepping out on a limb, she took a few steps closer to the stallion.
"How are you?" She glanced at the clouds, having noticed that he'd been looking at them. Nasnan was attempting to see if he'd just been looking, or if there was something fascinating going on in the sky.
