Fierceleaf didn't like the dead season. The sun was cold and distant, and the bugs hid away in their little dens, whispering to each other. She could hear the whispering, but rarely did she catch an open conversation in the cold season. And she knew they were plotting. The wicked little creatures would be well hidden away until the green came back, so she must be on her guard at all times.
She was near a strange territory, too. She could smell the smell of the odd ones, the ones that looked like real things, but never spoke. They were like shadows in the grass, though she could hear them sing at night. It made her uneasy, to be so near the smells of the odd ones.
Despite the warmth of the overhead sun, the frigid air shriveled Fierceleaf's skin beneath her fur, and she scowled in irritation. No doubt the bugs were plotting to take her heavy pelt, to expose her to the cold sun, naked like a tree in the dead season. They thought she would be vulnerable, but they were WRONG.
Shuddering, the female sat for a moment, tilting her nose up to the air. She smelled a shadow coming nearer, a strange, mute creature approaching. Most of all she hated the silence of them. If you couldn't hear them chattering, you never knew what they might be up to.
She cocked her ears forward and waited. It was far past the time to retreat, and Fierceleaf was a warrior. Whoever this stranger was, she would meet him readily. Even shadows have weak points.

The winter months had made the land barren for the entire season, but as the spring slowly neared, he had started to see the snow melting slowly, the ice that hung from the trees began dripping down, falling to the earth with one last blaze of glory. He had no deformity, or mental disease. He had no quirk that made him special, nor did he have a personality defect that caused him to stick out. Anoop was a normal wolf, that had the voice of what others considered to be an angel. He was a younger wolf, maybe ranging three years of age. His fur vibrant browns and whites. He had always been handsome, and he had always felt that he had a duty to himself. That duty, had been the Order.
The newly formed pack had everything that could be desired. Prime hunting lands, prime lands in general.. He was happy where he was, but most of all, he felt incredibly safe, hidden from the wandering eyes that had used to plague him.
His nose caught the scent of a female, and he stopped before contemplating continuing to run into her. He loved meeting others, and it was something he was particularly good at. He had alot of friends, and not many disliked him.
"Hello?" He asked, voice careful.

Fierceleaf froze at the sound of the male's voice. The shadows could speak? Shadows had no scent, and this smelled decidedly like not-prey. And the voice made her ears perk, and her body shiver all over. It was a spirit voice, but with blood sounds.
"Fierceleaf can smell the paws of you, blood shadow! Reveal yourself!" she barked in hoarse command, her voice ragged and soft from months of isolated wandering.
The scent of this creature was driving her mad. It brought feelings she didn't understand, and the strength of his voice was intimidatingly louder than the whispers she usually heard from the bugs, and the pitch she used when she spoke to herself.
She paced back and forth in agitation, unable to gauge what kind of creature would step out from the trees, and thus unable to prepare her defense.

"I mean you no harm!" He spoke, lowering his voice a little as to not scare her off. He hadnt meant to frighten her, hell..He hardly understood what she was saying.
"Im sorry if I frightened you." He spoke again, appearing out of the shadows, and lowering himself to his belly, with his tail between his legs. Not so much submission, as showing her he meant absolutely no harm.
He looked at the female, noting her colors and smiling. She was pretty, though her speech was very strange. He wasnt quite sure what to make of her, but he was never the type to judge anyone.

The gamma female tilted her head, staring down at the male. She had never seen a blood-shadow up close. It was far less threatening than she had anticipated. She felt better seeing that it had very short legs. She could easily outrun it if needed.
"How do you speak the Fierceleaf language?" she inquired cautiously, staring hard at him. In her memory, she could never recall a blood-shadow speaking, and this one spoke in words she could understand. The bugs had their own language, but this one was hers.
Standing, she approached the male cautiously, prepared to leap back or attack if he made any sudden moves.
