She could very well hear the river behind her, over-flowing with the last rain. It had the shifting, tremulous quality of the ocean itself, a shifting, dark mass that had only one purpose in life. To make it to the ocean. Tsunami could liken herself to that water.
She was not, however, searching for the ocean. Nor did she ever think that any body of water was her purpose. If so, born and living in the Agua Azul lands, the female would have found her purpose early on in life. What then? What would the feeling be, to have accomplished the thing you were 'born' to do? If such a thing existed in sentient, intelligent creatures. As if destiny really depicted what happened in your life. All predetermined. What then?
The female, picking her way easily from the black, waved snake of a river behind her towards the sand-stone rocks that marked the dens around the territory. She didn't believe in much. Not in destiny, or in karma, in a higher power. She believed in what she knew to be true, herself. And her goals, herself. In power. To grasp these wet stones with blood-splattered paws, and howl a reign beginning with a crimson-dipped maw. She allowed herself enough unrestraint to lick her own muzzle at the thought.
Her lands.
No longer a kingdom of petty battles and neighbouring disputes. Of an old, tired queen and worn King, or of fools being put to power. Numerous babes being born without purpose but a stupid, greedy hunger to grasp upon the teet of power. Her power. Soon.
As almost second nature the lithe female moved towards the largest den in the complex, nostrils twitching as she gathered information. Would he be here? The worn king? Stretched like a piece of wet seaweed on the rocks of the beach? Tsunami was sure of herself, and with purpose she settled easily onto her sand-flecked haunches and awaited him. Yes

The big male hadn't stopped thinking since the fight with Twist. What she had done was unforgiveable, and it made him bristle that she would have condoned the behavior. Though from talk, it seemed he was just late noticing the behavior.. Twist was mean, and he had been too blinded to see it. But he loved her, despite all she had done. He had told her to clean up, or he was leaving her.. She had begun talk of an heir, and Shezaam had been brought up a few times. He supposed it meant she was taking it seriously.
He stood at the top of the cliff, looking down at the rolling waves that crashed mercilously into the rocks. He wanted so much to begin his life again. Restart and right all the wrongs that had been done in his wake. He hadnt meant to have someone do these things.. He had meant to be happy. To be loved. He had not been either in quite a while it seemed.
His eyes werent sullen, or hurt. No not anymore. They were focused and sure. He knew life was going to change, he wouldnt have to repent any longer.
He lifted his nose, catching scent of someone familiar, and he lifted his head, looking to see if anyone stood out in the open.

From her place in the open, a dark target against wet brown rocks and ground, she could see him above her. A bright spot against the sky, his coat loud enough to rival the sun itself. Yet she could see herself in him, the lightened bands about her forepaws and the predominant black that so aided her to move about the territory.
For reasons all her own, but to a few not unknown, she preferred her solitude and her space. At most times, the majority of the pack was unaware of her existence. She stuck to the shadows and less-taken routes, favouring rocky ledges and sea-caves to the well-worn den sites and beaches. Even now as beta she was a glimpse from the shade, coming out only to comment to Twist on something, or be stumbled upon by her 'glorious brother'.
But in all of this, she had not once formally met Wazaam. Whether out of pure coincidence or subconscious unfavouring the female had not caught up with her father since she was only so tall with big eyes and a near-mute existence. But this needed to be remedied. Knowing that the rest of the area was completely clear Tsunami let out a sharp bark of a call to Wazaam, waiting expectantly on the solid ground for him to come and meet her.

He looked down, ears catching the sound of the female's bark. He hadnt expected her to ever call to him.. to ever want to be around him. He had grown to understand that some of his children, had no desire to be near their father, even though he loved them so dearly. A smile grew on his maw, and he wagged his tail, before making his way down the rocky path that lead down to the sandy shores. He felt himself grow nervous, as he didnt want to ruin this talk with Tsu.. He loved her, even if they had never been what he would call close.
"Tsunami." He smiled in greeting with a soft tone to his voice. He knew that some of his children found him weak, but the fight with Twist that had erupted after Tempeste.. he felt far from weak. He had grown that backbone that he had needed so long ago.. If only he hadnt have grown it too slowly. He might have been able to keep Tempeste from being hurt..
"Good evening, sweetheart." He nodded as he closed the distance between them.
