Since their betrothal, Teiracaes had been in a pleasant mood. She understood the pride would always come first and foremost - that was how she operated - but it was still a pleasant thing to share a den with her beloved. The nights weren't too lonely anymore, not with the warmth of another nearby, and she had something to look forward to beyond her daily duties.
Though now that the announcement of their marriage had been made, all sorts of lions had begun to fuss. The ceremony was a grand one and the union of childhood friends was a sweet twist for otherwise surprisingly blood-stained individuals.
However, the pleasant buzz was not to last and Teiracaes jerked, misstepping as she moved to head down hill and tumbled to the base where she lay paralyzed with her eyes wide. Injury did not paralyze her though. Instead a particularly vivid vision had grabbed her and thrown her to the outskirts of the pridelands, where the dark form of a shape slinked across the landscape. A black aura, violently pulsating, echoed around it and she knew immediately what it was.
"Demon." She murmured when the vision let her go and she stood, shaking off the dirt of her fall. Teiracaes was long used to such awkward moments - she was a strong seer, after all, and waking to be in a different spot, while disorienting, was not uncommon.
They had a problem to take of, her and Buibui. There was a hunt to be had and soul to be purified.

Bui didn't know what to do about the proposal. Suddenly people were talking to him, and it wasn't about killing things. Clapping him on the back and acting like everything was all hunky dory... He didn't like it. He liked the respect and awe he inspired, not all this excitable nonsense. It was far too... happy and odd. He was not a big fan of all the attention on him. Honestly, if he hadn't cared about Teiacaes as much as he did, he would have dumped the whole thing. He found it all extremely annoying.
Then he saw her, feeling relieved when he knew she was still doing so well. He really wasn't used to it after all. Normally he just let her deal with these things. She tended to be better at dealing with the... well, the social things than he was. He did rather dislike how bad he had become at simply speaking to people. He would much rather let her-
And then he saw her take that nasty spill forward. He blinked and then ran foward, "Teiracaes! Teira!" He called, bolting down towards her as quickly as he could, hoping that she was alright.
It would be completely riddiculous if she were to die falling down a hill after everything that had just happened.

Buibui's voice cut through her thoughts and she turned in time to meet his charge, though she did not greet him with endearments or smiles. Instead, she was frowning and the glint in her eye hinted at the vision she'd had, "I Saw a demon, Buibui. Not far... it was traveling through our lands. There is a Hunt to be had, my love."
She spoke softly, as if wanting to keep it a secret, and glanced around, "There is work to be done. And... well, it's a chance to get away from all the attention. I keep getting asked if we're expecting cubs..." Teira murmured, obviously prone to moments of annoyance and delight in regards to the marriage hubbub.

Bui rather liked the sound of this. A demon that they could hunt down? Yes... it would make quite a lovely wedding present for his new mate to slay one and remove it's demonic heart for her. At least, that was his idea of what it meant to be romantic. He really didn't care much what anyone else's opinion on the subject was.
That, and he'd also do anything to get away from all the people excited about he and his new mate's upcoming ceremony. He was rather sick of it.
"Then come my love, let's get away from... all this." He'd rather be fighting anyway. All this emotional nonsense. He didn't want to deal with it. And cubs on top of everything else they were asking about? Not that he didn't want cubs. Cubs were an important part of the pride, they insured a future for the demon hunters. But really? Asking already? "...Don't they all have their own lives to be concerned about." It was not a question.
