History: Lelia was conceived during a post-hatching feast; when her mother, a lusty kitchen worker, seduced one of the Weyr visitors. Her mother decided against a ride between, seeing as she was somewhat mistrustful of dragons, but lacked any real connection with Lelia, who was by no means her first or last child.
Growing up, this was a bit of a bother to Lelia, who was by nature an affectionate and loving person, but as she grew older she accepted the shortcomings of her mother, and sought the attentions of her peers rather than those of her elders.
Notable for little other than her hard work in lessons, and efforts made to entertain others, Lelia’s childhood in the Weyr was unremarkable and passed with little consequence.
Appearance: Of middling height, with smallish breasts on a relatively unremarkable figure, Lelia’s most notable physical characteristic is her hair. It’s a dark, brown-red, cut just a little below her ears with the exception of a long, waist-length braid in the back. Her eyes are deep blue, serving as a stark contrast against her peachy skin.
She likes to joke that she has regal features; a sharp nose, arching brows, softly curving cheeks, deeply double-lidded eyes and a strong jaw. If you want to be mean about it, she looks sharp and bird-like.
Overall, she’s more ‘cute’ than ‘beautiful’, more ‘charming than ‘alluring’, and is not the type to embellish herself with fancy or showy clothing, as much as she would like to.
Personality: Lelia is first and foremost a loving and compassionate person. She has a high level of empathy for the people around her, and hates to see suffering in others. Even if you’re a total stranger, and you look like you could use some help, Lelia will drop everything she’s doing to attempt to assist you. Unfortunately, this means she’s not very good at prioritizing, as she puts other peoples issues before her own and has a hard time sticking to agenda’s and deadlines when there are other people who she feels require her assistance.
She may not be the best at prioritizing, but rest assured, Lelia will get the job done. She’s very dedicated, and hates to disappoint; as such she works hard to accomplish her tasks and to perform well. She works well by herself or in groups, and will pick up the slack from any members who fall behind. This dedication doesn’t just apply to work, but to all the aspects of Lelia’s life. ‘If you’re not going to do something the best you can, why do it at all?’ that’s Lelia’s philosophy. She’s not crazy ambitious or anything like that though. Lelia’s drive is cool and calm. Slow and steady, thoughtful and demure, that’s the way to go. Going along with this, Lelia’s also very difficult to rile up. Life is too short to spend angry as far as she’s concerned, and rather than fight or argue, she’ll usually try to mitigate the situation in any way possible. No, she’s not submissive or a push-over, but she’d rather maintain good relations with others, than fight or argue or whatever. Diplomacy is one of the greatest virtues in her eyes. She sees physical violence as abhorrent and as a weakness.

She’s always willing to give people second chances, because she believes strongly that people can change, and will, if given the chance. She’s forgiving, because as stated earlier she doesn’t like to spend time being upset or angry; however, she might forgive you, but she will never forget. Lelia is very much an advocate of morality and ethics. She doesn’t care if you’re a total a**, that’s your choice, but that doesn’t give you the right to cheat, steal or things like that. This is one of the things Lelia will actively take action against, and will openly criticize persons she feels to be unjust, calling them out on things and reporting their actions to her superiors. Justice must be enforced.
Lelia is an advocate of diplomacy. However, going with this diplomatic, no violence philosophy, it means Lelia has to have other ways to get her point across or get what she wants; and what better way than manipulation? Lelia is a good liar, but for the most part any untruths on her part are harmless or white-lies, intended to serve a purpose or to protect someone rather than to cause anyone harm
Lelia is not perfect, obviously. While she deplores physical violence, she has an acid tongue. If you can manage to get her angry, she won’t punch you or spread rumors, she’d rather cut you down with words, and all the better if she can do it in public.

Lelia is also a bit, well, nosy. About the whole ‘helping other people with their problems’ thing? Well, Lelia is going to help you, even if you don’t want her help. If you look sad, she will come over and try to cheer you up, even if you want to be left alone.
