It has sure been a while since she'd been to this place. An area she would rather forget due to her past involvement with the area. Yet she really couldn't escape it. This was her town after all, and another war was taking place here. The temple being an area that not only carried a strong barrier, but point for magic to gather. It only seemed right that she go and check the place out once more. Though alone, probably wasn't the smartest move. It could be seen as that to the enemy. She didn't wish to bring her servant with her right out in the open, it wasn't a smart move. All would know who they were, and attack in an instant. Instead she wanted them to strike her alone, and then be ambushed by Saber later. Rin was quite sure she could hold her own till that point. So all should be fine. This is what she told herself at least as she wandered the temple grounds. Very little had changed here.

The wind bristled Rin's hair, an unnatural wind from the incorrect direction. Like a ghost just passed by. A book made of magic lay on the stairs of the temple. It looked ancient and had many lettered inscribed upon it's hard cover; a language not known to the humans of this age.

She didn't like the chill brought on with this place. Probably due to her history here, and also the fact that the people living her were never on her good side at any time. A hand raising now to hold her hair as a strange wind came blowing. Something that she paid little mind to due to the more important thing in front of her. A book, her eyes narrowed at the sight. Something like this would never be left out normally. Now, whether to pick it up, or be safe and just burn it. After all, this could be a trap.

The dark blue book sat there in silence. A little bit of energy came off of it and pulsed like a heartbeat.

Alright, this book really was something that was starting to get on her nerves down. Seeing that it was beginning to move in it's own way, it was obvious enough that it wasn't normal. Maybe attacking it with a spell would be too much though. Didn't want anything to backfire on her. So, that meant taking her servant into this wouldn't be good either. Only one other option then. "Disgusting. . ." She murmured to herself why stomping down on the thing.

Energy sparked off the book when it was stomped on. It then caught on fire. The bright blue flame did not singe Rin in the least. A summoning circle formed around the book and it spattered. For a moment, the wind came to a very abrupt halt. Then something obscured the moonlight for just a second. The shadow it left on the ground resembled a butterfly. A very large butterfly. Then from the forest where it was headed trees started groaning and creaking; some falling completely over. The light around the book and the magic circle faded.

Why was it that the more time she spent with this thing, the more her desire to burn it started to rise. If only she could just go and do that, but she knew better. Her foot quickly moving off the book when it started to act up. Body moving to an offensive stance, ready for something to happen, but nothing did. ""What" The Tohsaka was very disappointed by that fact. Only given a little light show, what kind of trap was this? "So are you really just a book. . ?" She asked aloud, feeling a bit like an idiot as she bent downward towards the book. Eyes narrowing along the way.

The book remained quiet this time. Letters were written inside in an ancient language

This, was getting her nowhere at the moment. She didn't need to be involved with this book, it had nothing to do with what she was currently after. Even if it could haunt her later, she looked away from it now. Losing interest fast as she crossed her arms and sighed. ". . . ." Giving one last glance at the thing before stepping over it and continuing up the stairs. If it was a trap to open the thing, she wasn't falling for it.
