So a friend gave me this idea so let's see if this works. We're gonna do a language practice game. Every week I'm going to post here on this first post a bunch of questions, and you answer as many as you can in narrative form (like a story). You cannot use any kind of dictionary or helping tool, you have to do this completely from your own mind. The reason being that it's to help you remember things for the next couple of rounds. So how about it? Quote: Week 1 Let's talk about someone important to you. Why are they important to you? Where were they born, what languages did they speak. What did they do for a living? What's your favorite memory of them? Quote: Week 2 Hm. . . since we talked about people who are important to you, now is a good time to talk about yourself. What do you look like? What is your personality like? Tell us interesting things about yourself. Quote: Week 3 Let's talk about the languages you know, what made you decide to learn them? Do you practice them all the time or do you never have the chance to? What's your favorite word in the languages? What's your favorite phrase? Quote: Week 4 Do you like to read? What's the last book you've read? What were the characters like? Describe them. Which one was your favorite? Why was this your favorite character? Quote: Week 5 Do you like listening to music? What are your favourite songs? Your favourite singers? What languages do you listen to music in? What genres are you into? In your opinion, which is more important in a song: the lyrics or the melody? Quote: Week 6 Do you like to travel? Why or why not? How many different countries/regions have you visited? Where do you dream of going? Is there anywhere where you really don't want to go? What have your vacations/trips to date been like? Is homesickness a problem for you?

Ma soeur est quelqu'un d'importante pour moi. Elle n'est pas vraiment ma soeur, elle est une amie, mais je dis souvent qu'elle est ma soeur parce qu'on se connait tres bien, on est comme des soeurs 3nodding Elle est importante pour moi parce qu'elle me ressemble beaucoup en personalité, et je trouve qu'elle me comprend bien. Elle est la seule personne avec laquelle je peux dire tout ce que je veux. Elle est toujours la pour moi, quand j'ai besoin d'elle (et meme quand je n'en ai pas trop ^^). Elle est née au Canada et elle parle anglais, mais elle apprend le japonais depuis 5 ans.
Hope that was detailed enough... anyway I might translate this into Japanese later ninja

Excellent idea! Lots of fun...but I believe this should be in the fun/games forum.
Una persona que es muy importante a mi es mi profesora de espanol del ano pasado. Ella era muy inteligente, carinosa, y dulce. Ella era la que me dio la inspiracion de encantar el espanol. Tambien, ella me dio unos discos compactos de artistas latinos para copiar, me presto unos libros en espanol, y al fin del ano, me dio un regalo fabuloso. heart Es muy especial y la amo a ella.
Pues, ella nacio en los Estados Unidos, pero sus padres vinieron aqui de Italia. Por eso puede hablar bien el italiano y el espanol, y es posible que ella hable un poco de otros, como el frances porque le dijo a mi clase.
Es obvio que es maetra de espanol del octavo grado. lol Y, tengo muchas memorias comicas y felices, pero mis favoritas son las veces que nos hablabamos depues de clase y en el pasillo. Teniamos muchos momentos de buen humor. Espero que podamos hablar mas porque siempre tengo un sentido de alegria con ella. 4laugh

Je m'appelle Maya (Proudly_Jewish) et j'ai 14 ans. Je vais a l'ecole WL Mackenzie et mes sujets favoris sont l'anglais, le francais, et l'histoire.
J'ai des yeux bruns et des cheveux bruns aussi. Je mesure 158cm (5'2") et j'aimerais mieux ne pas dire combien je pese... domokun Je suis (d'habitude) tranquille et calme. Je n'aime pas le bruit et je ne suis pas vraiment aventeureuse.
Dans mon temps libre, j'aime lire, ecrire des fanfics, apprendre des langues etrangeres, ecouter de la musique, et parler avec mes amis sur msn. Je parle couramment l'anglais, le russe, et le francais, et j'apprends le japonais, l'espagnol, le latin, l'allemand, et le hongrois. A l'avenir j'aimerais apprendre le grec, le finnois, peut-etre l'italien, et quelques autres langues. Mes groupes de musique/chanteurs favoris sont Kyo, Les cowboys fringants, Green day, Joe Dassin, Rammstein, et Andrei Gubin. Mes livres favoris sont The Giver, la serie d'Harry Potter, Da Vinci Code, et la serie d'Amos Daragon. 3nodding

Mi nombre es Rachel, pero me llamo Raquelita. 4laugh Tengo 14 anos y estoy en el noveno grado en el colegio. Soy inteligente, amorosa, y generosa. Tengo el pelo castano y los ojos marrones. No soy muy alta ni baja(casi 5'3''). Pues, en la escuela, estudio el espanol, el ingles, la geometria, la biologia, la historia mundial, y toco la trompeta.
En mi tiempo libre, me gusta estudiar espanol, escuchar la musica, y navegar la red. Trato de hacer ejercicios mientras no nado. Estoy miembro del equipo de natacion. Empiezo practicar del junio hasta el fin de la temporada en octubre. Tengo un iPod que uso mientras hago ejercicios. Oigo la musica en espanol, por supuesto! wink Mis artistas favoritos son Paulina Rubio, Thalia, Volumen Cero, Hombres G, Molotov, y Julieta Venegas.
Mi idolo, como dije yo en el post anterior, es mi profesora del ano pasado. Tambien, mi otro idolo es Eva Peron porque era muy fuerte y poderosa. Quiero ser como ellas un dia.
