The skies were dark, to match her mood, they almost seemed to threaten rain as she felt gloomy and washed out. The pastel and black colored mare ambled through the melting snow, most of it slush and it was sticking to her footlocks and getting under the metal bands on her ankles making her shiver. Mindy shuddered kicking her hooves now and again to get the stuff out. Why did it have to be so cold and met into water and... She shook another hoof knocking the slush from beneath a metal band to have it only be occupied by more when as she stepped again. "Of all the..." Mindy muttered to herself beating her useless wing kicking her hooves out when she could, this was going to be one annoying spring.

Calming herself, she looked around, things were getting even the more gloomy as she noticed she had a ways to go yet. The trees and shallow snows were too far, she wished wholeheartedly that she could she could just 'fly' to them. With a glance to her folded wings, she sighed letting her head droop, warm breath breathing on the metal bands closest to her nose. She was hopeless, flightless, fanged and utterly confused on what she was. Having not known her true parents, she could only wonder, though that often caused her head to hurt, a lot. Ears pulling themselves back, she wouldn't notice if anyone else were around until they either spoke or touched her.

Ceros walked through the darkness, hidden from prying eyes. His dark coat providing the shroud, the only thing that was really visible on him were his glowing hooves, his horn, the moon and stars in his cloud mane and his glowing, bright eyes. Which were spending all their time glancing at everything he walked past. These lands were so new to him, he couldn't help but be curios about all the differences he saw in his surroundings. Having spent his life in the desert with his herd, seeing so much greenery and lushness was mesmerizing and almost dreamlike.

While his eyes scanned everything from rock to canopy, his large, Cerynei ears took inn all the sounds of unfamiliar night creatures. Every snap or whistle sent him spinning around to face it.
But now, after roaming through the depths of the forest and back, he was no longer as tense. His eyes were still wide with wonder though. Suddenly his nose caught a vaguely familiar scent, his head turned. it was the scent of another Soquili, he had only smelled it a few times during his first day in the lands, but had avoided the ones giving off the smell. However, this time his head was telling him to finally say hello to one of the residents.

he walked towards the mare, following her sweet smell, until her saw her standing, head hanging, in a small clearing. Something was wrong, his acute senses told him. He walked a bit closer, careful not to startle her. She seemed very sad. His heart immediately wanted to know what was wrong and in what way he could help.
"Is something the matter miss?" He walked around to face her, still keeping his distance. His head lowered, trying to see her face. "Is there anyway for me to help?"

Ears flicking themselves forwards, she looked towards the strange stallion for a moment with blue/purple eyes before it clicked that he was a little too close for comfort. Head snapping up, lips dragging themselves down to cover the glittering white fangs that laid over her lower lips. She hated them quite a bit, and hated it even more when others saw them. When he asked if something was wrong she just shook her head, short tail flicking slightly behind her. When she was asked if there was something he could do, again she shook her head. Was there something he could do? Mindy didn't quite think so, but who knew.

Looking this stranger over, Mindy hadn't met anyone like him before. Head tilting she noted the horn that parted his forelock and the other strange adornments of his mane? Frowning, the tips of her fangs poking past the black of her upper lips. There was also the unicorn like tail and the glowing hooves? Who was this stallion, a questioning look crossed her face as she looked at him a little more carefully, noting the darkness of his coat and the strange mud like markings. Had he been playing in the mud? So many questions seemed to flood her head, but Mindy refused to speak and keep her fangs hidden from sight as much as she possibly could. Even if that meant that she had to remain mute this whole meeting.

Ceros took a step back, seeing how he had shocked her slightly. He had no intention of making her feel awkward or invaded, quite the opposite. he wanted to help with what ever was wrong. Even though the mare had shook her head, twice, to his questions, he knew something was amiss.
He opened his mouth to ask once more if there was anything he could do, but he noticed her eyes. They were scanning him, taking in all the information they could. He smiled sheepishly. "I may look very different, but i mean you no harm. I really just want to help."
He gave her an apologetic smile, "Now what is wrong?" He asked gently. The blue light from his horn illuminating her troubled face. His dark unicorn tail slowly moving back and forth.

Mindy turned her head away from the stallion as he caught her eyes watching him, taking in the markings and adornments upon his body. She had met a few strange characters, but this one was by far the strangest. Giving up on her quietness, she sighed, letting her fangs come into sight. Most would shy away from her thinking that she would attack them or something. Fangs were predatory items and Mindy was far too gentle to harm a soul, but it wasn't much the case with most other Soquili.

"I am alright in a sense, there's more to me then I really let on." Mindy sighed once again looking back to the stallion who's horn attracted her attention for a moment before looking back to his illuminated face. "You are just different from others I have seen. Most shy away from me before I even get a chance to say anything." She frowned again hiding her fangs once more. Really hoping she didn't put this stallion on edge with them. Always happened, not matter who she talked to... Though there was one who wasn't scared, but that meeting was a while ago now and she hadn't seen Ali since then.

Hearing her voice cheered Ceros up, if she was speaking that meant she might allow him to help her. When she turned to him, her face once more illuminated by his horn, his glowing eyes scanning her face.
The light of his eyes and horn hit her fangs and made them glisten. "Different you say?" Finally responding to her earlier statement. "To me you, and these lands, are the ones that are different," he looked up and spun his head around to emphasize the vastness of the lands, "To me this horn, these eyes, even my cloud mane and its stars are all normal." He slightly coked his head and smiled at her comfortingly. "However you, with your wings, and odd mane, as well as your lush forests and greenery are the ones that are different, the ones that are interesting." His eyes twinkled and his smile widened.

"No why people shy away from you i do not know. You seem very sweet and kind to me. Infact..." He looked as she frowned and seemed to be hiding something on her mouth, "Is your mouth hurt?"
