Dec 20, 2005 — Hospital officials at McAlester Regional Health Center say a 14-pound, 3-ounce baby delivered there is the largest ever born at the hospital. Lillian Elizabeth Ross was born Friday to Adrienne and Anthony Ross. A hospital spokeswoman said the baby already wears clothes made for children six to nine months old. "The nursery had to go to pediatrics to get diapers for her because they didn't have any that would fit," Adrienne Ross said. "We've already had to start buying her new clothes. None of the stuff we bought will fit either." The baby was born by a scheduled cesarean section without any serious complications.

Aiiieee! Ouch!
There was a baby born at 16 pounds not too long ago! That's the average weight of a SIX MONTH OLD.
Thank god my kiddo was only 5 pounds, 8 ounces, so even though he was turned face up, he still popped out easy.

I was something like 9lbs, 2 ounces, or something like that. My brother was 10lbs and ___ ounces (I don't remember how many).

Well, I should just show this to my "old school" family and tell them all to stop pressuring me into a freaking induction because my baby is measuring about 8lbs (my due date is tomorrow).
I think anything about 10 lbs and under MOST women should be able to deliver naturally. Note I said most. There are some women who are too small hip wise...but most of us have ample hips and then all those ligaments relax.
It doesn't say if there was any other problems during the pregnancy that might have led to a big baby (like Gest. Diabetes). Though I think if she had GD they'd be monitoring her REALLY closely for just such a thing.

I was a little over 10lbs and delivered 100% without drugs. My mom is completly crazy.
I plan to try. My family always has big babies, my fiance's family always has small babies, so we'll see how it goes. When the time comes, I'll wait and see how big it is smile
Anyways, wow, best of luck to you, Nopen! Just remember, suffer through it and it will be over eventually smile

Wow! I was only 5 pounds 1 ounce. O_O hehe, and I'm the second biggest of my dad's five kids.

I was 5 pounds at birth but I contracted a fever and went to about 4 pounds, 3 ounces? Anyone have any weird quirks like me? I'm missing a pair of rib bone =3

Missing ribs, Pip? YOu know, there are people who pay a lot of money to be like that!
Personally, my only real "defect" is that my three middle toes on both feet start off as one tow and then branch out. My dad has the same.

it does have its ups =3
like I can wear smaller sizes for waist but my hips and thighs are, in my opinion, pretty wide/big/ginormous XD
but they thought I was gonna die or grow up to be mentally retarded? I don't know why -__-'
My aunt has toes like that I think? and she's the only one out of all the sister she has.

Dang, that's a big baby.
When I was born I weighed two pounds, three ounces then I dropped down to one pound, 11 ounces. I was born eleven weeks early so I was tiny.

When I was born I weighed two pounds, three ounces then I dropped down to one pound, 11 ounces. I was born eleven weeks early so I was tiny. 0.o wow! You were even smaller than me! And I have a fair few people freak out when they find I only wieghed 3lbs 11 oz at birth. (Also a pre-me though not as early as you. ) But like me you've probably caught up on growth now and people don't believe you when you tell them how tiny you were as a baby. I couldn't imagine having a baby as big as 14lbs. My sister's and mine combined weights were less than that. That's just...urk..

My older brother was fourteen pounds. But my mom had a C-section.
Ahh, and my friend actually ripped part of her mother's v****a when she came out!! gonk Jesus, it's painful just thinking about it. xp
