[OOC] Weekly Pride Announcement Rules and Form: New Update!

Announcement:
The metaplot has come to its conclusion! Between the Hiatus and losing one of the key players, we have altered the ending a little but things have become a little more interesting as a result.

Firstly- The Dreamer's Cove has been set aside specifically for those that wish to return to the days of insanity and muses. Muhali herself has blessed this territory. Those wishing to have their lion afflicted with insanity/ blessed with a muse may once again do so! All lions under this blessing will take the rank "Dreamer" and will exist within the pride but under the Dream Queen, Xipil.

Secondly- Joining and breeding is once again open! I'm slowly updating the member's list so if you've not been added yet, bear with me! Also, please remember that you must post your couple before entering a breeding! You don't have to wait for approval, just let us know you're bringing in a family.

Thirdly- The Mummer's Ball is next up! We'll be working with the Bahari to come up with a good span of time to hold this festival.

And Lastly - Muhali has returned to the lands! She has returned as the patron goddess of the pride and will remain among the mortals living as a pride member.

Announcement:

The pride has been struggling to recover from the disaster of a summer storm. Dens have been cleared from mud, and new ones have been dug. Lost and dead members have been mourned, and the celebrations have been a bit more subdued the recent months. Three of the kings and queens were declared dead. The King of Kazkazi, the Queen of Demani, and the King of Mrao will be missed. Madakata, Queen of Vuli, has been ruling in the meantime.

However, with January's Observance of Harmony, the pride will be moving on from the past, and forging into the future with new things. Firstly, the way the pride is ruled will change. No longer will there be four rulers, as it failed to protect the pride from losing so many at once. A new King will rule the clans of Kazkazi and Mrao, and a new Queen will rule the Demani and Vuli clans. Madakata will be stepping down into a new rank of Royal Assistant, which will be a rp-required rank, one for each clan.

Additional new ranks are those of Medic, which is a rp-required rank, as well as Performer and Crafter, which are available to anyone. More information on all the new ranks can be found in the pride's information thread. Please use the Joining Thread to apply for a rank change!

There will be an ORP for the crowning of the new King and Queen as well as to introduce the new resident God of Games! Come join in sharing memories and hopes for the new year!  

[Baharimtoto Pride]

Hello folks, long-ish one for you!

Breeding Changes
1. Divorce is now possible.
2. Inter-pridal relationships and rogue relationships are now allowed provided they are committed.

As always, please see breeding thread for full information on these changes; these have been made to give people the opportunity to use their Bahari'mtoto much more and without the added pressure or restrictions that may have been on them before!

Meta 2013 Summary
This years meta was very short due to thread hiatus. As those who participated know, the Bahari'mtoto territory has now extended to include three new islands! This means that your Bahari does not need to live on the main coast and can choose to live on an island if they wish to do so. These are accessible via sand bars at low tide and you are actively encouraged to make use of them. ^_^

2014 Meta
The next meta will be a joint meta with the Kizingo'zaa to celebrate the Mummer's Ball. Stay tuned!

Pride Wellness
After the huge meta, of Princess Emi taking over the Kuroi'Nera, there has been some changes to the pride. This is including spiritual component added to the pride along with Gods coming to visit. This has put some mixed feelings in the pride but overall, the pride's overhaul change has been working well. Now it is Boss Lady Emi and Boss Man Buluu ( IC owner ), that reign the pride!

PLEASE HELP KEEP OUR MEMBERSLIST UP TO DATE. IF YOUR CHARACTER HAS LEFT, HAS A LITTER, ETC ETC PLEASE UPDATE US! OUR MEMBERS LIST IS COMPLETEDLY OUTDATED AND WE NEED EVERYONES HELP TO KEEP IT UP TO DATE!

Also, if your characters are MARRIED, PLEASE PLEASE let us know, so we can firstly, congratulate you- and then add it to the marriage lists. This is so the whole pride can recognize them and gains respect etc. Also so those looking for plots know who is taken or not!

We have some new council ranks to fill! As well as a BUNCH of new ranks that fits every personality and NEED! We need these ranks filled as much as possible!

Breeding
1. Please be reminded that if you have a litter, to PLEASE PLEASE UPDATE US In the JOINING/UPDATE THREAD.
2. Our Breeding list thread, has not been being used. So it is now abolished.
3. Members have the ability to breed with rogues if they are middle to upper classes, slaves and underclass CAN NOT HAVE ROGUE BREEDINGS. No exceptions.

The Stormborn are now officially a lined pride! Yay! With these lines, some breeding rules have been adjusted. Please take a moment to review them.

Because the lines were revealed midway through this month and the breeding rules were clarified at the same time, they will not go into effect until March, but as of March first please be advised of the following:

• Breeding is always open, provided your lion has a cert and is on the member list.
  
• Thralls cannot participate in the Mix 'n Match because they cannot leave the pride, but female thralls can rogue breed. In a rogue breeding it will be assumed that the father was a member of the Stormborn who did not step forward to claim the cubs, and the cubs will be thralls.
  
• Freeborn (including lawspeakers and priestesses) cannot participate in the Mix 'n Match because they do not leave the pride. They can rogue breed, however, and it will be assumed that the father is an NPC Stormborn. The cubs will be freeborn.
  
• Reavers and captains of either sex can take part in the Mix 'n Match or rogue breed. They do, after all, leave the pride.

ICly: The hiatus pushed some timelines back a bit, but we are now ICly all caught up and have moved into the next season. This means weather/location/herd movement and prompts are newly updated! In light of new litters, there will be an Inqina soon, so if you own a cub you have that to look forwards to!

OOCly: Posts from the options for males thread have been moved to the cultural hot topics thread which now has a directory to make information easier to find. Information on terms for Iselele are now entirely up to date, so you may keep an eye on that if you're interested in such a position in the future. Requirements for Umama have been reduced from 5 to 3, and now you only need 3 names as opposed to full-RPs to qualify. The member's list has been updated; please PM the mule if there is anything amiss/missing!

Announcement: The Nchi'mahadhi will be undergoing a revamp to help simplify and clarify the OOC info in preparation for a pride metaplot. IC rules will be changing and at least 10 new members will be given away in the event.

Announcement: The Suka'Fumo is getting back in gear! A meta will soon cause some changes in the pride- big changes! ICly, there has been a lot of unrest with some of the nobles, and there have been an unspecified number of attacks on non-purple lions of any rank. There are also rumors spreading that the fairy folk have been kidnapping nobles, disappearing in to the forest with them so they're never seen again.

Bwana and his heir, Dromio, have been doing their best to deal with the issues, but some rumors have also started to spread about the future kind- rumors that he no longer cares about the noble class and is even mated with a non-purple female!

Announcement:
Firstly, in regard to the new standards of joining a pride, we are conforming to the new system entirely. A JRP is not needed to join the pride! Simply post in the member update thread with the appropriate info so that we can add you to the owner's list. We do insist that a member is on the owner's list, certed, and has a gypsy name before starting a family.

Secondly, we are plotting our next metaplot! We have the skeleton of a plot and some new ranks planned out but we need your help! We have plot gaps that need filling and we need your feedback on what you would like to see! We're offering a new exciting rank, the Troupers! Kizis will be free to travel within troupes to collect new wares for merchants, stories for the mummers, and mingle with other prides and bloodlines. We want to see this meta up by the end of the month and spanning no longer than three months. Please check out the pride discussion thread in the pride subforum!

Announcement: The information subforums have been condensed into one "Pridal Information" subforum, and all changing prompts will now go in the updates section. As well, there is now concrete information about challenging Inselele.

Rather than having one huge metaplot and then nothing, Bonelands is going to be moving towards a more fluid system where prompts/events happen relatively continuously. A "permissions" thread for character injury has been made to aid this shift and is located in the subforum. Take a look and post in it when you're ready. Lastly, the Inqina for cubs/juveniles has started and can be found in the pridal subforum. If you have a lion that was OOCly born January or later, they can join in the Inqina.

Hello all - it's been a while since the Bahari'mtoto has had an update so expect a few announcements in the coming weeks as there's some reshuffling to encourage activity and participation.

In the meantime, a few updates:
- We will be conforming with the new standards for joining the pride; you do not need a JRP to join the Bahari'mtoto any more, just express your interest and once you've received the nod, you can get your cert!

- The Bahari'mtoto's neighbours, the Kizingo'zaa are holding the Mummer's Ball! This is the perfect opportunity for your Bahari lion to make some friends with the Kizi and any other visiting lions. It's a great excuse for a party and I hope to see you there!
