Used to sneaking into human shops, a dusty colored bobtail cat curiously padded through the isles of a new kind of shop. Having never ventured into a music store before, the girl was amazed at all the racks of CDs that stared down at her. Periodically, she would pass by a booth with a demo CD playing in it, her ears perking at the sound coming muffled through plush headphones much too big for her. There were very little humans about as they were nearing closing time, and so Demi was free to wander for the most part. Heading up a new isle, she paused in her tracks, a beautiful voice catching her ear, accompanied by a rockin' tune. Wiggling her little tail, the small cat jumped onto the stool situated by the booth and lifted half of the human-sized headphones to her ear, grinning eagerly as the pleasant music began to swim through her head. Crossing on e leg over the other, Demi bounced her foot in time with the music, no longer paying attention to her surroundings.

Darian was sitting up on a bench, eying the black and metallic silver keyboard. The colors were certainly appealing to the grey and white Lynx but he couldn't help but wonder exactly how it sounded. People were still in the shop, though, so he would just have to come back at a later time and see for himself. He hopped down off the bench, having a flutter of excitement in his stomach from having to wait till the shop shut down and customers all left. He strolled down the isles, looking at different instruments, desiring to try them out but fearing he might break one from lack of the proper knowledge of how to hold it or something like that.
Just as he was about to wander back to his more familiar keyboarding section the youthful tom caught the sound of a quiet muffled tune. He began searching for it and upon spotting a stool he noticed that between the two speaks from headphones. "Ooooh, a new friend to meet?" He chuckled excitedly to himself before trying to creep up on her, staying close to the wall of CDs and such before climbing up on the stool. Still out of sight he tried to think of a perfect way to surprise her. Maybe his casualness would be best. He situated himself down next to her suddenly and picked up the other half of the device, pressing it up against his ear, being so close to her and yet seeming like he didn't care. He didn't even happen to acknowledge her. If his plan worked she would be the first to strike up a conversation or some sort of interaction. A grin was plastered on his face, though.

So into her song was she, that Demi didn't notice the tom at first. She felt the headphones shift, but assumed it had been her arms getting tired for a moment. She didn't realize she had company until her body started moving with the song, it was then that she brushed up against him and blinked her eyes open wide, nearly dropping the headphones and falling off the stool as she jerked away from the sudden warm body near her. Her head whipped around to see who had suddenly found themselves beside her and she nearly ended up headbutting the tomcat in her haste. For a moment, she paused, face less than an inch from his, and then slowly moved the headphone away from her ear and leaned back away from him. "Hey there, I didn't realize I had chosen a spot for two." She mewed after a while, a grin spreading across her face despite her surprise. Looking over him, she found his appearance to be quite interesting, gorgeous silver coloring, with curious curled ears. Where did this tom come from, and why such an entrance, she wondered .

Darian was enjoying the song very much so, but it certainly was different from what his usual was. He was the sort of man who preferred more Americanized Rock/Punk. Yet, he couldn't help but have a love for all sorts of good music. When the headphones shifted and he felt the girl jerk away from his body he couldn't help but laugh softly at the movement. When she looked over he did at the same time, causing their faces to nearly meet. He felt his cheeks burn up from the embarrassment and was honestly thankful for her pulling back the way she did. He looked down at his lap and dropped the headphone down as well. "Uh, oops. Man, I'm sorry. I didn't expect that to happen." He apologized for the near collision and chuckled at the humor of it. "I just figured since there was half a headphone here not being used ... and you seemed to be enjoying yourself a lot. I just wanted to listen, too." He smiled at her before kicking his feet a little bit. "Hi, though. I'm Darian." He reached out his hand to the girl with a smile appearing on his lips again.
