IT IS. At least in Mozilla. And I don't like it.
I want to post a more in-depth analysis why it's no good, but for some reason, the whole layout keeps bugging out.

In IE, it's slowly working its way. Its funny that they have the BlackJack Preview. Other than that there is alot of lag.

I'm using Firefox and I can notice the heavy lag.
Besides that, searching for the personal guild list is gimmicker(is that a word?) than before.

Took me five minutes to find AYGGS.
Hey, some good might come out of it if the Admins put their heads together. So far, I see why they set it up in this way but it's more complicated now.

The new sub navigation drop downs remind me of the LiveJournal pages. Such tiny text is a b***h to read on a monitor running at 1792x1344. And is so easy to get lost in here now. Navigation is by sheer luck.
And the blackjack preview didn't open for me using Safari. I'll have to try it again with Opera 8.51 sometime soon. Damn, what a nightmare.

sad It isn't any fun surfing Gaia with all this lag. sad I like the appearance of the old layout better. sad I was already used to navigating the old layout. sad I've already experianced several bugs.
smile The new shops interface is spiffy.

V0 just posted that they will be tweaking the settings on the new interface to make it less laggy. Serial you may want to let them know of the Mozilla problems as well.
As for the interface, well its insulted alot of the "girls" in the otkau wasteland. It gets a manly vote then =|
Still many will have their vaunted "old" style for Gaia layout as things progress. Though technically I remember when people complained about the last time the layout changed.

Though technically I remember when people complained about the last time the layout changed. It seems that since I last posted, some thing have been corrected. The only other problem. It now loads properly, the main problem being that while writing this post I noticed I couldn't close the "Info" section at the top of the page. Of course, I believe I am keeping the HTML format instead of the Flash one, only because of Firefox's Middle-Click Opens New Tab option. And have you seen the Q&A? It's a bloody mess of complainers, both sexes. And I do like the colors... I don't like the right-sided navigation (It seems a bit counter-intuitive, particularly in higher resolutions, where it drifts further away from the rest of the Web Browser's... And the teeeny letters used... OMFG. At higher resolutions it's almost impossible to see and/or click on them. They need to be a bit larger, definetely.

I have encoutered no major problems with the new design, nor do I have any personal complaints about the new design.
I am posting this so there is evidence that I do not b***h about everything on Gaia.

It's alrgight but the lag is getting on my nerves... and I hate the fact that there isn't a direct link to the profile page so I can quickly get to the "My Guilds" page. Guilds are the only reason I log on to this place.

aoigetsu It's alrgight but the lag is getting on my nerves... and I hate the fact that there isn't a direct link to the profile page so I can quickly get to the "My Guilds" page. Guilds are the only reason I log on to this place. I concur on both points above. I'm still seeing a lot of lag in the graphics. The new Flash banners for each web page tends to reload, killing their bandwidth. And I hate having to enter via the main guilds page to get here. I've found most of the important things and how they're tied to the navigation. And I like the new multi store interface page for quick searches. You can get the regular stores from the World Map. And the games seem to be working again. Fishing worked very well. However, the slots are having connection errors left and right again.

Bookmark the Guild Forum page in your internet browser and you don't have to worry about finding the guild ever.
Click on the "info" tab to remove the flash graphics.
Problems solved.

My only complaints at the time of writing is that it's both laggy AND pretty ugly. But especially laggy.
The multi menu interface is nice in theory, but they should have taken LJ's approach, not turning it into a bloated monster.
