So my cousin wants me to play Half-Life. He keeps telling me about it and he even gave me the game to play. So I installed it and went through the Hazard Course as best I could. Personally, I think the controls are choppy and the graphics are blocky. Does anyone else have any thoughts on the game?

well the first Half Life is pretty bad in graphics but that's because it came out a long while ago, great for when it first came out, but now a days it's probably annoying razz

The graphics are pretty bad when you look at all the shiny, hi-def things howing up on the Xenon (The 360's code name... and I think it's cooler than the name "360" so I'm calling it xenon) but it was pretty good back in the day. The controlls get choppy at times, but they're still relativly good. I mean the game did get game of the year for like, three years running. It's a classic. Give it a run and I can almost garuntee you'll love it.
Then buy Half-Life 2... it has all those sweet, sweet graphics you crave.

Half Life 2 has the first Half Life on it. It has improved graphics and they fixed alot of the bugs the original had. Controls are less choppy too. I say give the original a try and if you like it, get the second one.

My step dad has half life 2 and he let me install it in my computer... I've been dying to play it but I can't register it on my Steam account because the serial numbers already used stare
So I have to wait until he's done with it [he hasn't played it in forever but won't delete it because of the updates on their site that they have xp ]
and I haven't played the first one either >.<

Oh my god i love Half life, gordon freeman kicks a**. You have to play this one to understand things from half life 2. The controls might not be that good and the graphics arnt great compared to games now a days but that doesnt matter its a great game.

Yea this game is so epic. If you beat all the first half life games imagine being left in question for like 5 years.
