"Secure all the exits. Don't let her escape!" yelled a police officer, as he and his comrades gave chase to a criminal. Flashing red lights and the sound of sirens filled the night, as the police officers scattered themselves all over the neighborhood.
If Val had been watching a movie, this would have been vastly entertaining. But she was forced to face that fact that it wasn't a god-damn movie.
This time around- the criminal was a Negaverse agent, namely her. s**t.
--
Earlier that night, she had continued her stroll among the red-light district of the town, when she had been pulled aside by a stranger.
"Where are your parents, Miss?" said the man in a stern tone as he sized up the girl before him. She appeared to be a girl of sixteen or seventeen, but he wasn't quite sure. But it was apparent to him, that she was clearly underage.
Before she had a chance to answer, "Do you realize I could arrest you right now?" He stated, his mouth curved into a frown as he gave the girl a scowl. "In addition to the late hours, it is illegal for you to be wandering around in such a district. It is much too dangerous- Especially with a little girl like you. You could be kidnapped, molested or worse-- raped, and no one would realize it. You just happen to be lucky that I'm her-"
His rant was quickly interrupted, "Here to have a strong man like you to save me?" She said in a cheerful tone, giving the man her most flirtatious smile. <********. This girl was just asking to be raped, he thought to himself with a grimace.
He had considered taking her home, but with that cocky attitude, it wasn't enough to teach her a lesson.
"You." He growled, as he gripped the girl's arm to forcefully pull her towards his car. "We're going to the police station." He muttered, before pushing her inside.
--
And that was where the trouble had started. How the hell was she supposed to have known that the man was a <******** police officer?
In her attempts to steal his star-seed, he had managed to page several of his men. They had come running from around the corner, surrounding her on all sides. And in her confidence, she had ignorantly believed that she could beat down every single one of them. Unfortunately she had forgotten one thing.
Guns. When one officer had pulled out a gun, she had known it was high-time to curtail it out of there! Unfortunately, they didn't plan to let her go so easily.
Her only choice had been to escape, much to her chagrin. Which would explained why Val was frantically running. But after only a mile or so, her physical stamina was wearing down. It would have only been a matter of time, before she was caught.
Which she couldnt, no, wouldn't allow.
Dashing for the nearest shelter, she took cover in a tree. Crouched in the street, she she sprung forward and took a flying leap. She landed on the branch with ease. But when the sound of police officers emerged within the darkness, she allowed herself a brief moment of panic. Pressing her back to the wall, she held her breath to keep her silence.
God, she hoped they left soon. She didn't know if she had the energy to fight another. But if she had to, she would, she vowed with grim determination.

Val wasn't the only one trying to make an escape this evening. True, his didn't involve guns (at least not until Val lead them his way) but it felt every bit as desperate. The conflicting emotions in his mind were enough to make him want to scream. In an attempt to escape the inner argument, Demy had shifted to Scheelite and set out on a walk. Patrol, his other side called it...but really he wasn't doing much patrolling. Starseeds were not the goal tonight, sanity was.
Gloved hands had been shoved into his pockets as he wandered along. There was no straight path, no real destination. His walk had taken him this way and that while he argued with the voice in his head.
What exactly are you doing? This is a waste of time, you should be out collecting starseeds! "No..none of that tonight. I'm not feeling up to it..." Not feeling up to it? What kind of a ******** pansy are you? This is the -Negaverse-, General King Charonite doesn't take a raincheck because you aren't feeling good. "And I'm not much use to General King Charonite with busted ribs now am I? I shouldn't even be out here walking, let alone fighting people for their...lives..." Their lives aren't worth living. They're vermin, crushed under our sole-- "-Your- sole..." OUR sole. Crushed and eliminated for the glory of the Negaverse. Really, they should be thankful their meaningless lives end to help our cause. It's all the glory those fools could ever earn. "We almost did that to -Z-. What's to say we aren't hurting other people who deserve to live..?" That was a mistake, a simple one we rectified. It will not happen again. "It could..." It -won't-. Enough whining, you need to learn to take your pain and -use it-. "No, you need to learn to shut the -hell up- and let me think!"
It was probably dangerous, aruging with himself out in the open like this. Sure, only half the conversation could actually be heard but it was enough to draw attention to him. Thankfully Val had already done a good job of drawing all the attention...and Schee had done an excellent job of walking right into the middle of it.
The sights and sounds of the police were enough to finally drive him out of his mental turmoil (though that voice still sat in the back of his mind and taunted him). And he could swear that when he finally looked up that something had gone flying into a nearby tree. But...what?
No time to think, just -act- There was that damn voice, urging him to take actions. Police huh? Perfect opportunity to steal starseeds! The more rational side of him screamed they had -guns-, and he was injured. Now was not the time...though maybe investigating what was in the tree was a better idea.
His own leap was anything but graceful. His body was one giant ache, but he still managed to leap and land on one of the lower branches of the tree. It didn't seem as though the police around had noticed his leap, but just to be sure he climbed a few branches higher and closer to whoever it was that had jumped before him.
"Uh...hello?" The greeting was whispered, he didn't want to draw attention afterall. The little voice did a mental facepalm...some Negaverse warrior -he- was.

Back pressed to the tree, she scowled as the police officers below began their persistent search for her.
Fortunately for her, the branch was able to support her weight. Just a bit longer, she told herself as she observed the scene below. They couldn't do this forever- eventually, they tire of it and give up. She could only pray that it would be soon.
Her attention solely focused on the police below, she hadn't taken notice of the raver boy nearby.
So when Lt. Scheelite suddenly took his position on the branch beside her, she was (the least to say) completely and utterly startled. "Hello?!" She hissed, as she turned around to face her latest intruder. Suddenly greeted by the sight of emerald green eyes, she was momentarily shocked by the sheer intensity of it.
But only for a moment. Lowering her voice to a soft whisper, "This isn't the time for introductio—"
Snap, went the branch as her words faded into a scream. Unfortunately, the branch hadn't been able to support the weight of both agents and had given away. Before she knew it, she found herself crashing to the ground, Scheelite and all.
--
"Quick, I heard something!" said a police officer, as he waved his flashlight frantically over the surrounding area. Running, he beckoned for the other police officers to follow him.
--
Great. Just ******** great, she groaned. Not only was this boy a nuisance, he had completely screwed over her entire plan of escape. And as luck would have it, the police officers had also noticed the fall as well. A few meters away, they were fast on her trail.
She had no other choice. Grabbing the other lieutenant by the collar, "Quick, change!" She whispered, in an urgent tone as she powered down into her civilian form.
And without a warning, she wrapped her arms around the other lieutenant's neck to pull his face down to her own. Embracing the other boy, her lips pressed against his, in hopes of expressing what appeared to be a lover's moment.
She could only hope the police would be convinced of the same.

Well sheesh, sue him for trying to be friendly. Wasn't it a good idea to get to know everyone? Learn people on the other side, learn their weaknesses! And if you got to know your own teammates well that was -always- good to know right?
Right?!
Not that he had much time to think about it either. Scheelite let out his own startled yipe as they went tumbling to the ground, followed by a rather pathetic groan of pain. He...really needed to stop being so rough on his ribs, though at least he hadn't landed directly on them. This time.
"Owwww...cmon man I'm not exactly doing that great injury wise and just -ow-, ******** ow---" Powerdown? Wait, what?! Those bright green eyes blinked in confusion, which only grew as the other's outfit quickly faded into a more usual attire.
So, she was a fellow lieutenant! Or....possibly a Senshi, but it didn't seem quite as likely and---
There were lips pressed against his. And arms wrapped around him. And boobs pressed against him. This perhaps was the most distressing part of the entire ideal. Demy did not like boobs, at all. Girls were okay (but he didn't trust them much at all). Their parts were not. Hell, he was borderline mastrophobic.
So while she was doing a pretty good job of the whole lover's moment game, Demy was having a mental freakout moment. It -would- have been vocal, but his panicked cries were mostly muffled by Val's kissing. This was a very good thing, as yelling 'GET THE HELL AWAY FROM ME' was likely to kill the remainder of their cover. His own arms went up, and maybe...just maybe they'd pass as a tender embrace.
When really he was trying to get her the hell away.

Shouts could be heard nearby, as the police officers rushed to the scene of the crime… only to find a couple of teenage brats making out.
“False alarm.” Said one officer in a disgusted tone, as he dropped his arms to his side in a gesture of disappointment.
But they still had a chance to catch her. "Move out!" The captain yelled, directing them to continue the search on elsewhere.
While his officers rushed on ahead of him, his gaze continued to linger on the couple before him. While procedure dictated that he question the two teenagers in regards to their investigation for the mysterious senshi who had escaped, he doubted that they would be of much use.
“It’s dangerous. Get the hell out of here before I arrest you!” He barked, before taking his leave.
Hopefully, they would take his advice and head on home. He didn’t have the luxury to wait around, till they got their asses moving.
Hell, the police had more important issues to deal with then some teenager hormones.
--
Finally. Good 'ol freedom.
Or so she had hoped. No sooner had they left, then another problem popped up. She never thought she would say this, but god. <******** boy issues.
Whoever he was, was freaking out like there was no tomorrow. As if his silly cries and flailing weren't irritating enough. Not to mention downright insulting. Never before, had she been refused with such vehemence.
Like she was no more then a simple bug he wanted to get rid of. She felt somewhat hurt actually; but her hurt was overshadowed by her anger.
"Keep on doing that, and you won't live to see tomorrow." Val warned, her eyes narrowed and teeth clenched, as she gripped the boy by his collar with both hands. She was strongly tempted to strangle him, but she made the effort in restraining herself.
Just barely.

Ohthankgodhecouldbreatheagain! And there were no longer boobs pressed up right against him. He felt better.
But only slightly.
"What the hell is your problem?!" Most guys wouldn't have complained if they were in Demy's situation. Then again, he wasn't like most guys. Grumbling to himself (something about women and how he -knew- they just couldn't be trusted), he reached up his own hands to try and swat hers away from his collar. "Like...really? Is it some kinda game for you to just nab someone and start sucking face cause it totally wasn't cool and I'd appreciate it if you like...didn't do that again okay. Really. Ever. -Ever-."
At least the cops were gone, but really his mind had never been focused on them in the first place.
"Just...UGH man, ugh, I'm sure you're very nice but don't do that." He seemed a bit better now. He wasn't actively trying to shove her away, or scream at least. Which was good because really? He wanted to see tomorrow.

Okay. He had a point, she would admit. From his perspective, she supposed that he had the right to be angry. She had pulled him into this situation without so much as a warning. And instead of thanking him, she had threatened him.
At this point, she should have been ashamed of herself. But the fact was— she wasn't.
Hand placed on her hip, she gave him a sweet grin that reeked of insincerity. With one eyebrow raised, "Would it make you happier to say if I do?" She asked, with her head cocked to one side. She didn't know what his problem was, but she had three words for him. Get over it.
"This isn't going to make your job any easier Lieutenant if you are going to freak out over every girl who kisses you." The words were spoken in a cool tone, while her eyes frosted over. "Or you'll find yourself on the shitlist of every b***h and whore within the negaverse."
Plain and simple.
But now that she had gotten that out of the way, she felt so much better. "Trust me, I'm one of the better ones." She said, as she offered him a hand up.
The change in her attitude was no less then astonishing, as she offered the boy a somewhat nicer, but not so friendly smile.

"Hey hey hey chill. It's not like I was saying you're a horrible kisser or anything, so no need to go all DEFCON-1 on me okay? I just....it was rather surprising and I don't exactly swin---you know what, nevermind. Sorry for flipping my s**t but could you note not to do that again if you run across me? Thanks!"
He had handled that well...or at least he told himself he had.
The offered hand was quickly accepted, and once up he took a moment to dust himself off. "Wouldn't know, don't run into anyone that often really. Soooo if that's how everyone operates then eeeexcuseeee me, I had no idea."
Does this mean he should go around rampantly hugging people or something? No you god damn -idiot- answered the voice within.
"Name's Scheelite." He had his head tilted as he eyed her. The change in attitude was pretty sudden, but honestly he definitely preferred her this way. Especially if the alternative was sucking face with him. "Just out getting some air, and what are you up to this evening hrm?" Stupid question really. Probably out collecting starseeds and then the entire cop thing happened. But he figured it was polite to ask.
And polite definitely seemed a good way to go, as he really didn't want enemies within the ranks of the Negaverse.

"I can try." Val said, with a grin. What a shame, a boy with his looks would have been popular with the girls.
Well, if it wasn't for that irritating behavior of his.
Taking her hand, the boy hoisted himself up with no trouble, taking the time to dust himself off. While he was distracted, Val took the chance to observe him in further detail.
Like her outfit, the boy's neon blue and black one proved to be incredibly flashy. With his blonde hair and bright green eyes, the colors matched well. While she couldn't say that she entirely approved of the punk rocker fashion, he pulled it off well enough. Except for the guitar on his back, which she was strongly tempted to question.
"Scheelite, huh? Lt. Valleriite here, to save the day as always." She said with a wink, as she pulled out a starseed in answer to his questions.
He hit it directly on the mark. Not that the life of a Negaverse agent proved to be a complicated one, especially with such lowly lieutenants like themselves.
Eyes scanning the area, she was safe to assume that the cops were gone.. for now. "But we should probably leave about now. Got anywhere to crash?" She said, hand on hip as she gave the boy a flirtatious look.
While she could have gone back home, it was simply too dangerous at the moment, with the police on the prowl for her.

Scheelite grew rather nervous at that look. Girls were not meant to give him that look. Well...they could, but he wasn't about to return any chick's flirty behavior. No, just no. And then asking him for a place to crash? Dear GOD what had he just gotten into?!
"Errrr....." Hand on his chin, he sat there and thought about it. Well...clearly he couldn't take her back to his place. His place was a -dorm-. In Hillworth. Which was a school for guys. She was definitely not a guy and probably would punch him for saying any such thing. He didn't want to be punched.
But....
"Er...lemme make a phonecall, I'll get right back to you on that."
He wandered off a few steps, yanking a phone out of his pocket and hastily making his call. A few words here and there floated back to her, mostly odd bits of sentences. Things like "chick, with boobs", "place to stay" and "Z-man you have to help me...". All in all, it seemed like a pretty interesting (or hilarious) conversation.
Soon enough he snapped the phone shut and wandered back to her side. "Okay like...-I- don't have a place for you to stay, because my place is Hillworth and that just isn't going to work. BUT, my partner totally does, and he's headed over this way to get us. Sound cool?" Grinning again, much more confident now that Zink was on his way. Zink could handle this, and Schee wouldn't have to worry about this...girl anymore.
