She was slowly but surely beginning to hate winter. At first she thought it was wonderful; her hood kept her warm and the water she detested so much had turned solid and unable to eat away at the land. It was even enjoyable to try and walk across the slick ice, slipping and sliding and not really caring what she looked like because she was having so much fun. But that was before the snow. It was her first snowfall, so she hadn't known what to expect from the white flakes drifting down from the sky. Then more and more came to smother the land. Even worse, when it touched her coat, it would melt into water again.

Terra trudged through some deep snow as she made her way to a hill. It was past the fabric cuffs in her legs and it made her shiver when it crept underneath them. She squinted towards the hill, hoping that there would be less snow on top and maybe she could find something to eat too. There were also a few trees that didn't look quite as bare as the others that way. It wouldn't provide much shelter from the wind, but it was better than nothing.
