Laini had wandered, yet again. Pala told her not to, or at least not too far. She did have a huge disability, after all, with her inability to see, but the happy young Goddess wasn't about to let that stop her from having fun! She hadn't wandered too far - she could get back to the herd's lands without too much trouble, and as always Jicho was there with her to guide and assist should she get into trouble. Really, there was nothing to worry about!
The small bat chattered softly as he flew ahead, guiding the cub as she trotted along the ground merrily, finding the sandy terrain under her paws to be an odd feeling. She was used to the grassy lands of the herd, and this was a new feeling altogether. Where she was going, Laini wasn't sure, but she was sure that it would be an adventure! And it would be a lot of fun, too.

With her siblings off on their own adventures, Niesha was alone and wondering what to do. Sure, her mother wasn't too far away but she didn't want to be a burden to her mother. It didn't help that she was the only wingless one of the litter and thus, couldn't fly around like her mother or siblings could. It had always been like that since birth, but it wasn't in her nature to dwell on her oddity.
Therefore, she took one look back where she knew her mother was and decided to go and see what there was to be seen. There were so many strange and wonderous things in the mortal realm, so many that she did not understand.
As the little grey goddess wandered through the lands, she did not disguise herself as she didn't know how to really do it all too well and didn't like to disguise herself from the mortals. Tis one of her flaws, was that she prided her form and didn't hide it from the mortals. If it wasn't for her little horns on her head, then she'd look normal...if just a tad fluffy.

Jicho was the first to spot the stranger - he sqwarked loudly, causing Laini to skid to a halt and look around, paniking a little. She whined softly, small wings fluttering on her back as she tried to figure out what was wrong - was someone there, or had she been about to step in something she shouldn't, or go somewhere she shouldn't, or...? Jicho landed on her back, and she continued twirling around on the spot, in te hopes it might make her look more intimidating.
"Who's there?" she whined, ears flattened against her head, "Mommy?"

As she was paying too much mind on the grass that was growing or the sounds of her paws on the ground that she was startled by the voice. There was someone else out here?
Being rather shy and timid by nature, she paused to lower her ears slightly and look around to find out where the source of the sound came from. It didn't take her long to find the other cub some distance off. She could feel the other and instinctively knew it was a goddess, just as she was. Uh oh, did she stumble where she wasn't supposed to? Oh, she wasn't good with conflict at all, it wasn't her nature, it wasn't her forte like her brother.
Shyly calling out, "I'm sorry to intrude! I didn't know this was someone else's land."

A voice replied, and Laini stopped, pausing for a moment to work out which way she should position herself before turning her body, and her blind eyes to face Niesha, or as much as she could with the limited resources (aka Niesha's voice). Intrude? Ignoring Jicho's gentle chatters advising her to turn and head away, Laini took a cautious step forwards, ears still flat against her head, wings tucked in to her body. They were too small for her to fly with at the moment, anyway.
"It's n-not my land," Laini called back shyly, "W-Who're you? Are you going to hurt me?"

She blinked. Hurt the other? Why would she do or even ask of her such a thing? She stuttered for a moment before replied, "Why would you ask that? I couldn't hurt anything, it is not of my nature to do so." She felt her cheeks heat up slightly, was she being too proud of herself? Oh dear, that is not good for her at all!
Her blue eyes watched the other come a closer and saw her bright colors. The blues and the greens and the blacks...how that would match her family so! And then she felt her face heat up. Why didn't she introduce herself first?! "I'm Niesha of Modesty."

She wasn't going to hurt her? Laini relaxed a little, ears perking up and wings unfolding, fluttering briefly. "I was just checking..." she mumbled, a little embarrassed for suggesting it. The other didn't sound that old, only a little older than Laini, and so she shuffled forwards a little again, eyes unfocused as they tried to fix on Niesha, but in fact straying a little to the side and betraying her disability. "I'm sorry..." she mumbled, suddenly feeling bad.
Modesty? Laini smiled a little, what a cool domain! So this was another Goddess, too? "I'm Laini!" she grinned, wriggling her hind playfully, "Of, uh, Sight. And this is Jicho!" Jicho gave a small squeak at his name, otherwise watching Niesha carefully.

As Laini took some steps towards her and stumbled, she could see the other one struggling. She wasn't sure why and took a few steps in the other's direction, maybe it'd help if she met Laini half-way? She didn't know, but didn't want to push herself to another when it wasn't her right afterall.
With a smile she replied, "It's nice to meet you Laini of Sight and Jicho!" She didn't know what Jicho was, never seeing anything like him before! He wasn't a lion or a god, she knew that much.
And then feeling rather bashful, she gazed down at her paws, "It's alright, don't be sorry....are you from here? Is your family nearby?" Since she had a mom (and a dad, even if she didn't personally know him) that she thought all gods came from families like herself.

Laini grinned, hopping forwards a little more before finally stopping, not wanting to move forwards anymore incase she accidentally crashed into Niesha. Now that wouldn't be a good way to start a friendship! Instead she merely stood and smiled, tilting her head a little but otherwise concentrating on trying to fix her eyes on Niesha, even if she couldn't see. Jicho was still eyeing the strange new Goddess, shuffling his own wings with the occasional chatter.
"I...I don't know." she mumbled, in answer to the questions, suddenly feeling quite vulnerable. "I...I'm looking for my Mommy, but I can't find her. And Pala's like my daddy, but not...I don't know. Sorry," she whined, ears flattening.

Unsure of how to respond to Laini's submissive posture, she could feel herself get all red from embarrassment. Oh, had she caught the other to be uncomfortable? She hoped not, since it was not her desire but it looked like she did.
It made her slightly sadden to think that as she did not know who Pala was and that the other was looking for her mom. Perhaps her mom was just away for a little bit? She didn't grasp the concept of what Laini was telling her at the moment. "Oh, I'm sure your mom will be back. My mom sometimes leaves for a little while but she always comes back." She nodded, sounding so sure of herself, but should she, knowing nothing of the other goddess?
She sat down and watched the other goddess through curious eyes. There were so many things she wanted to ask, but didn't want to overstep herself now. The biggest mystery of all to her was Jicho, as she looked at him.

Laini attempted a sweet smile, wriggling her hind playfully, tail swinging from left to right and back again. Her new friend was talking about her mother as if she'd just gone away for a little bit, but Laini knew she was lost. Her mommy was lost, and it was her job to find her! The young Goddess had come to realize that her mother wasn't going to find her, and it was her job to go look for her. But she'd find her mommy, one day. She was sure of it!
"I'm looking for my mommy," she explained, a little gloomily. No cub liked loosing their mother, "I lost her, and now I've got to look for her." Jicho gave another chirp, moving up onto Laini's shoulder, eyeing Niesha carefully, extending his wings in order to keep his balance, Laini purring slightly as the membrane brushed against her cheek.

Lost? Her mother had gotten lost? The very idea of that was so hard for Niesha to fathom. How could a mother get lost? Didn't all moms know directions better than cubs? That's what was truth in her own little world but she wouldn't say that to Laini, especially if it would offend the other cub.
"Are you looking for her by yourself?" She wondered if Laini's mom was just playing a game with Laini. It made more sense for her.

Laini's blind eyes glanced over Niesha, and would have picked up the confusion in the cub's face if it weren't for the fact that...y'know, she couldn't see. The slightly prolonged silence lead her to frown, though, the youngster about to step forwards and ask if Niesha was alright, before the older Goddess finally spoke again.
By herself? "Yes, I think so..." Laini mumbled, forehead furrowing in confusion, "I've got some helping me...Pala's helping, and Anupu, and Airi...they said they'd help me, and tell me if I found her. Does that count?"

She felt relief wash over her as she heard that Laini wasn't going to be alone. She didn't like to be alone on doing important stuff and thus thought that everyone else didn't like to be alone as well. She smiled brightly, "Oh yes! That's good!" And then she looked embarrassed as she spoke softly, "Being alone is no fun."
Even though she didn't know the names, she figured that they were all lions that Laini knew and thus that made her happy. "Maybe I should search for my dad..." She pondered outloud for a moment.

Good? Yes, she supposed it was. Laini liked all of her friends! Because that was what they were, right? Anupu, Airi, Pala...they were all her friends, right? Perhaps Pala less, because he was her Papa...either way, she liked them all, and was very grateful that they were helping her look for her mommy. "No, it isn't! And we're not alone at the moment, right, 'cause we're together!" Laini grinned brightly, cheeks creasing in happiness.
Her dad? "I can help!" Laini instantly piped up, with a sweet smile, "How about I help you look, and you help me?"
