Another night of patrolling. It was strange, how the negaverse and senshi duties were so alike but two entirely different reasons for patrolling. One with the intent to protect and one with the intent to kill. Two opposite sides of the coin. Serandite yawned as she walked through the park trail, not bothering to cover her open mouth with her hand.

"I'm bored, I'm bored, I'm bored!" She muttered under her breath, her hands rubbed at the side of her head in a frustrated manner. She wanted something exciting and fun. Not boring patrols that ended up getting minor starseeds. Civilian's starseeds were just so.. not up to the task. By now, Serandite had gotten used to the idea that taking these lives were for a greater cause. Sure, it was still unsettling to deal with the whole murder-thy-neighbor theme but Serandite felt that doing her duty right now was probably the best way to go.

After all, what other way was there?

But pushing that aside, she was, as she had said, bored.

"Because saying 'bored' once wasn't enough?" The quiet voice had wafted from the shadows where Sailor Tisiphone stood, arms limply at her sides as she watched the other girl with a blank face, though if one looked closely enough, they might detect amusement glittering in her dark eyes. Admittedly, Tisiphone found herself bored much too often herself these days. She stepped up to Serandite, pondering for a moment before actually looking at her, "Why not try something different?"

She hadn't actually bothered to think of any ideas herself, but once she voiced the question it churned in her mind, "I did a mass hunt before. That was interesting." It had resulted in lots of dead humans, a destroyed bus, and a roadway that had 'caution' tape all over it for days after, "Just do what comes to mind."

Lieutenant Torbernite stopped mid-whistle, nearly falling off the edge of the railing: there was no mistaking those two voices, even from his distance.

He struggled for just a brief second with himself, weighing the pros and cons of this situation. Pros: go his own way, wont be caught up in another potential fiasco. Cons: go his own way, and meet something worse than two potential allies.

Having finally settled for the 'better safe than sorry' routine, he tried his best classic jump from the railing to the ground stunt. Which would have been better had said railing not been ten feet in the air, or covered with large mutated forms of shrubbery. His left foot hit the first large bushel of leaves and his side scraped against the other: all-in-all leaving him half flopped on the ground, slightly twitching.

Quickly getting up now that the ground wasn't spinning, Torbernite looked guiltily left and right to make sure there were no witnesses. The two other Negaverse agents were still somewhat far away, and he sped down the path to catch up, not bothering to check for anything in his way.

As appealing as the allure of being a mysterious super hero was, television never stated the downsides. It never mentioned being accused of being a thief or mugger by random civilians you tried to assist, nor was it ever mentioned how cold it could be. Sailor Merope, Senshi of Rogue Waves, was discovering the second of these facts out the hard way. While his legs and feet were protected rather well from the chilled winter air, his choice of a top left him fidgeting every so often. He had even gone so far earlier to button up his shiny golden buttons before unbuttoning them, deciding it wasn't heroic enough.

After all, who in their right mind would take him seriously? The lady earlier had made her point clear when she hit him several times with her purse. He was thankful that she didn't have any hat pins, as well as the fact that she was one of those fortunate considering ladies that didn't carry bricks in her purse.

Merope rubbed the back of his head and sat down on a park bench, sighing. The news reports made it sound like sailor senshi were more active at night... If that was the case, where were they? He learned back and sighed, oblivious to the Negaverse agents nearby.

Unsurprisingly, Sailor Gemini Beta was on her way home from a bar that fateful night. What was surprising was that a) she was only mildly intoxicated and b) she was sans her other half. The latter was actually more uncommon than the former, (she wasn't that much of a lush, thank you very much,) and she seemed a little out of place walking down the sidewalk without her partner. It was also a little quieter without him, since not only was he not around to whoop and hollar and taunt passing senshi, (see: Sailor Castor,) but she had no one to talk to.

It was this point that ultimately lead up to the next series of events. Gemini had just happened to be scanning the area when she noticed the strangely-clad guy sitting on a park bench a few feet in front of her on the other side of the road, rubbing his neck and looking a little... well... alone. Which suited her perfectly. Crossing the street, the kilted senshi immediately plopped down next to him, resting her arms over the back of the bench, about as nonchalant as can be.

"'Ay, you're a senshi, right?"

What an amazing opening line.
