Girls get crushes on people they're already friends with- - someone cute, fun, and smart and into the same things they are. Someone they can TALK to.
But guys fall for the ones that you'd think "What the heck? How are those 2 going out? " Guys like the pretty girls they don't ever really get to know. He'll like her smile, her hair, or how cute she sounds asking for help with math. So girl flirts with guy in class, both of them arguing playfully and showing off.

It's just so ******** ironic, how stupid people are sometimes.
Not EVERY guy/girl is like that ALL the time, but so often people don't see what's right in front of them.
Guy doesn't see that she's sitting right there in front of him-- the girl who knows him and knows what he thinks and wants and needs and dreams. The girl who gets the same kind of jokes and understands when he's sad. The girl who LOVES him.
Girl doesn't see that he's so totally into someone else-- she just keeps laughing and talking with him and falling into his gorgeous eyes. Never tries to do anything about her feelings, never says anything to him.
