Tell me how I'm supposed to breathe with no air~

The park was still snow covered in places, the ground constantly wet where it wasn't. But none of that stopped Melody from using the park as an escape from home and the dreams that plagued her sleep. She had only a day or so left until she went back into school and hoped she could make up the grades she lacked to make it to her next year and not have to be held back. Or worse, have more school work to do just to play catch up.

Bundled up against the cold, wearing jeans that were covered by heeled boots that bunched around her ankles along with a sweater and a ski jacket, she hardly felt the cold except for around her uncovered face. Hair left down to add to the warmth, ears were covered by white fuzzy ear muffs that hid ear buds that played music as she studied the book she held in her lap. The park was a good place to just breathe and relax, as well as to help her finish writing this song that she placed all of her frightened emotions into.

Well... she was trying to place all of those scared emotions she felt from her dreams into this piece, but loneliness crept in far too easily. The song she was listening to didn't help either. Shutting her binder with a harsh slap, Melody let out a sigh and wondered why she was even bothering. She'd been at this for a few hours all ready and had gotten nothing done save for pangs of loneliness as the song she had on repeat kept playing. Her own fault she knew but it made her feel a bit better knowing that this song felt what she did in a way.

And in the end she blamed one Azzo Crowley, because despite her fears she thought of him. Despite the fact they had met twice at the hospital and she hadn't seen him since. It was like part of him, or maybe memories of him, were buried deep in her heart and she couldn't think of why or even what. All she knew was that she missed him, perhaps more then she'd let Ignacio know, and it seemed like every time she was out and about she caught sight of him but could never reach him.

Deciding a walk was in order, to clear her mind, the blonde girl (sans wild make up at that!) stood and moved for an unused path. Binder held close to her chest, she idly sang as she walked hoping that maybe, just maybe, doing so would relieve this ache in her heart.

"If I should die before I wake, it's 'cause you took my breath away. Losing you is like living in a world with no air. Oh~"

She had no idea he was there, eyes closed as she walked the path she'd walked several times before. And still this walk did nothing to clear her mind from thinking of the boy she had once called "pup", why should it? After all she could clearly call this her first real crush! Ignacio didn't count because it would never ever happen even if she still had those sort of feelings for her elder "brother". She was a girl with a crush on a boy who seemed to be avoiding her at all costs.

A soft sigh left neutral painted lips, smoky colored eyelids fluttering open as she let the male part of the song play with no singing following it. Maybe this was stupid, to believe in love and fairy tales. Dreams didn't come true when you wished upon a star and love didn't happen so easily. It wasn't like she and Azzo were predestined lovers who had been killed in a past life and reborn to find each other again. That sort of thing didn't happen in a world, not even in a world where monsters and magical beings existed. She was kidding herself by thinking as such!

And yet she continued singing with the song.

"So how do you expect me to live alone with just me? 'Cause my world revolves around you, it's so hard for me to breathe!"

Never noticing that a rather large stick was in her path until she walked right into it. Or trip over it, rather, as the words ended to the song ended in a yelp and she went falling for the gravel walkway.

Luckily for him, perhaps?, she didn't hear him calling her a song bird as the earphones were still in place and playing music. She did, however, look up when her hitting the ground never came. Imagine her surprise to find Azzo being the one to have stopped her from falling. Her own cheeks flushing, she backed away from him and pulled out the ear phones so she could hear him.

Shifting the binder, she moved a now free hand to pause her music player and turned her gaze away from him. She wasn't sure what to say in reply to him, honestly. Part of her wanted to be hurt, sure that his avoiding her was purposeful. Another part of her wanted to remind her that he had a laugh and was probably busy and didn't have time to pander to her silly crush. She bit back a sigh and turned to him with a bit of a smile though it never reached her eyes.

"Hello Azzo. How have you been?"

"I figured... School does that to people."

Melody shifted much like Azzo did, but with her it was due to the fact she still wasn't used to wearing pants. Not to mention part of her was curious as to what her dark haired crush would think. No, she wasn't expecting him to actually say something.

"I go back in a couple of days... Mom and the Principle seem to think that me going over what I remember at home should help me transition back into school easier." Reaching up with her still free hand, Melody idly toyed with a lock of hair as she watched him - teeth biting gently at her bottom lip.

"Y-you know, Azzo... I've always got a willing ear if you need to talk..." That was likely random, but she felt it needed to be said because it very well seemed like he had something on his chest. She didn't know what she could really do to help, but she wanted to. Almost needed to. "I... could give you my cellphone number so you can call me any time."

She almost offered to get him one, almost. But offering such a thing was likely a no-no of some sort some where so she opted not to mention that avenue. She did, however, blink when he mentioned some one throwing a book into the garbage and an eyebrow rose.

"What kind of person throws a book into a garbage?" Okay, so stupid question as she could possibly name a few people who might. "Okay, before you say anything, let me rephrase that. What kind of person throws an injured person's book into the trash can?" Yes, much better indeed.

Still she just nodded at his cellphone predicament and debated writing her number down anyway so he'd have it at least. If she were a pushy kind of "go-get-them" girl like her mother was, she might have. But she wasn't and like hell she was going to possibly ruin the moment by doing as such.

When he complimented her pants her tan cheeks warmed with color and immediately she glanced down towards her jeans. "Y-you think so? ... They feel weird, since I mostly wear skirts and all..." They were tight and mostly form fitting, so it was a bit much to get used to. But it was that or freeze in a skirt and leggings (which didn't do much for her, she tried) and she didn't much like the idea of freezing.

Did... he just murf? A soft giggle was pulled from the blonde at such a noise, she just couldn't help herself! It was just too cute of a noise. As quick as it came it left and she was serious as she listen to his take on the situation.

"Maybe... it was a one time incident? I mean, no it's not like you to lose your temper but it happens to the best of us every once in a great while. While it's best to remind yourself not to let such an incident repeat itself, don't beat yourself up over it. Kay?"

She flashed him a smile, sweet and caring. Though it faded a moment after his fashion advice and she was left to blink at him with an eyebrow raised. "I could be wrong, I'm sure I'm wrong but... Did you just call me fat, pup?"

Melody tried to keep a straight face, really she did but- Oh god his was reaction was priceless, too funny to keep the act up. By the time he forced the grin to his she was doubled over with bouts of giggles that not even a hand could stifle.

"Goddess above why are you so cute?!" she spoke before thinking, the calling of him cute something she wouldn't realize immediately unless he said something. Or until her subconscious decided to pick on her. When she finally managed to calm herself she straightened up and a smile seemed permanently stuck on her face, her cheeks still tinted a lovely rose-y color.

"I promise I won't kill you, Azzo, really. I just wanted to make sure that you weren't, because it kind of came off like it but that didn't really seem to be you, so I wasn't sure."

Blinking, she smiled and took the chance to look up at the sky that once again promised snow. Joy. "The... weather is all right, but I much prefer warmer weather. The snow is beautiful and all, I just don't really like how low the temperature gets."

Her gaze returned to his form and once again she shifted, this time her boots scuffing against the gravel with a bit of a crunching noise. "Are... you sure you don't want my number?" she asked again, just wanting to make sure. "Y-you know, so you have it should you get a cell phone or something?"
