The rainbow-pelted wolf moved at a steady pace, humming a wordless tune that was bouncing around in his head. The tuft of fur that sat between his ears fell into his eyes, blocking his view, but his eyes were closed in almost mirth. He didn't need to know where he was going: he was a wanderer. An unusually large wolf, he looked big and intimidating to most. Most of them tucked tail. A few stayed to fight. A shame, though, that they didn't get to know him and find out the truth. Raive was a happily submissive wolf with aspirations of being the best pack leader their ever was, for a carnivale-type pack of friends-and-lovers. His tail wagged at the thought and his yellow eyes gleamed. Dropping his head, he nibbled on a piece of grass, continuing on at a much slower pace. Today was a lazy day. That's just how it was in Telk... Well at least he didn't have wolves running in fear from the demon's smile created of fur upon his face, turning his muzzle into an ever-grinningb monstrosity. Mentally he shrugged. The day couldn't get any worse.

 - Kayeli Her head was downcast, ebony muzzle tip downward, not in shame, but from her weary travel. She'd run quite a bit the last couple of days, a past-time she well enjoyed, but her stamina had ebbed with the constant flow of her activity. In that aspect she was not as wise as she would have liked others to believe or to have believed herself. It was foolish to over expend energies, especially when alone and not yet having found a place to rest her head and join the the merrymaking of others like her. What was worst yet was she'd been so engrossed in a simple chase that she'd not even contemplated indulging in a bit of tasty treats, even if they would have been small game. Along the way however she'd run into a bit of carrion, had been able to get in a few bites before one of the scavengers had appeared, or so she had thought. Although she was confident and secure in her own skin, she wasn't so naive as to try to fight off a possible horde, or larger animal than herself. Soon she'd have to find a place to call her own new home, but she knew little of the packs around here, having been secluded to the den most of her life due to the tyrannical ruler and her over protective mother of which she remembered little to almost nil. The memories were still locked far in her subconscious mind, and her light sable coat did not reveal anything of the turmoil she might have felt at having lost so much of her past. Even without that piece of her life puzzle she was not melancholy, but she was indeed tired and perhaps in need of a moments rest for her aching limbs. Inhaling sharply as she stumbled over a stone, not having seen it as her eyes had been closed, she opened them to look through vibrant blue eyes at the damage done to the pad of her paw. It was only a tiny nick, barely breaching the surface. With luck it wouldn't take to long to heal, but it was a terrible place to get even something so minute as she had to use her paw to walk upon, used to using all four limbs she had. As she lifted her head up, something caught her eye. A strange pattern and an assortment of psychedelic colors. Her curiosity piqued she walked toward the figure. As she approached, she could make out the figure of a wolf. It had been awhile since she'd seen another wolf, she couldn't recall when last she'd met up with one of her species, yet this one was totally unique from those she may have run across previously. She did not yet see his face, for she'd stepped up from the side, fascinated by the pattern that stood out upon the base of his coat. "Hello?" She didn't know whether or not he'd noticed her approach, but she thought it wise to say something before getting to close least she startle and upset him.

Raive was lost in thought, his hums quieting as he imagined a place where he and his horde could live in peace, without problems, without fights, without even dominance. They would all be equal. There would be respect among one another and love between them all... He smiled. What a happy thought. He just needed to find a few willing wolves to get it started.
At the words spoken, his ears flicked forwards and he raised his head. Pale yellow eyes zeroed in on a sable and black wolf -- testing the air, he smelled she was female -- who looked bushed. His tail gave a few weak wags as he padded up to her, fearless in his endeavor. "Hey there, baby girl. You're looking a little blue. No pack to call home? All alone in this great big world?" His voice was soft, almost musical, and he never stopped smiling.

She might not have been able to decide what to make of the male she'd approached, but his colors had caught her attention. She was used to a more earthly color, but his markings were popping and she supposed she found it interesting. It was not displeasing to her eye, but still a pattern and color she'd never come across before in any manner, at least not any that she could recall.
She blinked when he lifted his head, his countenance was quite unusual, startling even. She didn't back away, only tilted her head for it was to her a curious aspect. It was not ones appearance she believed that made the wolf, but the deeds which were done, or the way one treated another. Perhaps she was on guard slightly, but with strangers no matter there appearance she always was, but she still liked to greet and meet anyone and everyone she could. Besides she saw an opportunity to converse, although being called baby girl was certainly a new experience.
He seemed to have summed up her predicament precisely though and so she nodded in agreement. "True on all accounts, something happened, what I cannot recall, leaving me to fend for myself and go in search of somewhere new. My name, if you will is Kayeli," she bowed her head in greeting for but a moment. "Forgive me for saying, but you have a rather... unusual appearance." She did hope the expression that seemed painted on his face was not a telling sign of some inner maniac, but somehow she didn't think that with his tone of voice and words. It was a sad world when one judged another by their outward appearance, for even the most lovely could be the most vile and viceversa. How she knew that she wasn't quite sure, perhaps locked somewhere deep in the nightmares which plagued her slumber.

Raive listened to her voice, wooed by the fact that she was beautiful and female and he, he was a lover of beautiful girls, after all. Not that he also wasn't a perfect gentleman. Raising a paw, he bent it slightly and dropped into a half bow. "Nice to meet you, Nayeli. I am Raive, or, if you would, The Ringleader." He fell quiet for a moment. Indeed, he was strange. "I take after my vagabond father, to be honest. I was cast away from my mother, as they didn't quite care for the way I looked... Suppose you could consider me a freak of nature, baby girl." He rolled his shoulders in a shrug. "I suppose, that's life? I'll deal with it." Another grin as he lay down where he stood, tail brushing up dirt behind him. "But-but, living alone can be a wonderful experience, dear Nayeli. Albeit a little lonesome..." He quirked his head to the side.

She could not help but smile as she watched him lift his paw and bowed. There were not many she could recall who had such manners during her trek across the lands alone. Oh, she understood procedures and those who wished to keep outsiders out, but there were others who were just as alone as she. Their rudeness she had thought before could have cause ones ear to fall off.
When he introduced himself, she found his name interesting, but more so 'The Ringleader' rather than Raive. "The Ringleader? Interesting," more than that she could not think of to say. Did he really wish to have the word 'The' in his name whether or not it was something he had chosen. She wondered why he had come to wish to be called by that, but did not voice the question there and then.
Intently, she listened to the tale he had to tell. What she heard caused her heart to skip a beat in remorse for the younger Raive whose mother did not seem to want him. "That is... sad. I always thought a mothers love should not focus on the appearance of her offspring, but I guess there are those who have to much criteria standards for their young ones to meet."
She nodded at the last couple sentences he had spoken, after he'd lay down upon the ground. It was true, she thought as she followed suit by lowering her own body to the ground, so that her belly touched the terra-firma. "It seems it can be, but it is true, it is a rather lonely existence, though there is no one who depends on you, but neither can you depend on anyone else should something serious happen." Adventure on ones own was grand fun, but if one were not careful she realized it was possible for problems and complications to arise. "How long have you been alone, or do you have others?"
