The spawn opened the door to one of his newest haunts ever since he had grown, a comic shop that was a few blocks down from where he lived. He actually hadn't been here in a few months due to Ballare joining the family and he and Stacie taking turns watching the fellow seeing as he was rather young.
But today Stacie was off and she said he could go out and enjoy himself, and he wasn't about to look a gift horse in the mouth.
The man at the counter grinned as he caught sight of Bovi. "Ah, look who finally decided to show up again! Your usual's have been piling up behind here y'know"
Bovi smiled apologetically as he walked up to the counter. "Sorry. We have a new family member at home and he takes up a lot of my free time right now," he explained, and the man merely waved his hands dismissively.
"I know champ. I've seen you walkin' him to the park a couple of times. Your mom sure does attract the cloppy kids!" He stopped to chuckle for a moment before sighing. "Well, he looks like a cute kid anyway. So you want what we've saved for you?"
"Yes please~" Bovi chirped, and the man ducked down for a few moments before returning with a few issues of Batman:Brave and the Bold, and the latest installment of Bleach. Bovi in return shoved a few bills he had pulled out of his back pocket towards the man before picking up the items.
"You heading over to the reading area?" the man asked.
"Indeed. Thanks again sir," Bovi said with a nod before heading towards the group of tables and chairs of all varieties to find a comfy place to read.

Taylor was not used to comic shops that let you sit and read after purchasing things. Then again the pride spawn was pretty loyal to his local shops and though they were the dusty, dimly lit rundown looking places of movies they always had what he wanted in stock so there was no need to stray. However his shops didn't tend to carry the shoujo manga he thought Trinket might like and thus a trip into foreign territory was Jessica.
The green and blonde haired boy entered the shop tentatively then scurried towards the back, his long hard claws clicking against the floor as he did so. Taylor didn't know if the manga was in the back but he did know he preferred to work his was to the front of the shop when searching for things, it was just a habit of his.

Bovi's eyes trailed up from the issue of Bleach he had been reading. Now there was a surprise, a spawn. He hadn't seen another one of his kind come in here before. How nice! Perhaps he could make a new acquaintance on this lovely day. Ever the gentleman, he stood up and walked over, his own hooves making their own unique sort of clicking sound.
"Hello," he said pleasantly. "Could I perhaps assist you in finding anything?" he asked the boy, hands placed behind his own back as he waited for a response.

Taylor was interested both in the other's spawns strange feet, though he supposed they were no weirder than his own, and the wings he had on his ankles. They had the same shape and metal framing that his sisters huge back wings had..Hmm the other must have been another facility kid then. Given the other boy's green scaling in some places and shoulder spikes like his own Taylor concluded this stranger was pride and diligence. The pebbly skinned spawn's set of double headwings fluffed up at that, seemed like an interesting combination.
However now was not the time for him to stare at others, now was the time for Taylor to take the offered help. " Do you know anything about girls?" He inquired. Sure Penny was a girl but she was his mom and thus didn't count, Mareike was a rough around the edges sports girl and no help in knowing. Trinket was girly though, she did ballet and played piano and hated being dirty. Taylor knew a lot about comics and some about manga but he didn't know much about girls. Sure he knew what he thought Trinket would like but a second opinions never hurt. The spawns pride was focused almost soley on his accomplishments, asking for help was rarely an issue for him.

Bovi chuckled a bit at the other boy. "A little bit I suppose," he said with a smile. "I'm guessing that you're here for a gift for someone then?" He then held out his hand to the fellow in an effort to shake hands. "My name is Bovi," he offered, his anklewings shifting ever so slightly.
"Oh, before I forget to ask, are you perhaps from the Sevens facility?" he inquired, noting that the fellow had similar spike like things as he himself had.

Taylor nodded " Yep, me and both my sisters are from there." There was an awful lot of demon and angelic blood flowing in that family though neither Penny nor Nickle were like them. In fact Taylor wasn't even sure what Penny was, he'd never asked. As he spoke Taylor extended a hand of his own and firmly shook Bovi's. " I'm Taylor by the way."
The pride spawn stretched his tail out carefully for a moment then brought it to half curl around his legs and rest at his feet. "I'm trying to find something for my sister Trinket to introduce her into manga but I'm not really familiar with the Shoujo stuff. " He wasn't sure Bovi would be much help in that arena either if he only knew a little about girls.

"Nice to meet you Taylor," Bovi said with a nod before pulling his hand to his chin to think on the conditions that Taylor had placed in front on him.
"I'm not quite sure if it counts as Shoujo or not, but Yotsuba is actually very good. It's more on the girly side yes, but I have to admit I enjoy the simple humor in it. It's one of my mom's favorites..." he stated before he motioned Taylor to follow him as he would lead him over to where the Shoujo section of the manga was located.
"What all is your sister interested in?" he asked Taylor. "For the most part it's easy to tell what the general theme of the manga is in the title, at least for Shoujo, of what I've seen...like this for example..." he explained as he plucked a volume of a manga called 'Kitchen Princess', "...is about cooking, or so the back says..." he said, skimming the blurb that was located on the back.

"Mmm Trinket likes ballet and piano and makeup and girly stuff," Taylor replied "I don't think she knows how to do anything in the kitchen though" he admitted. Part of the boy's brain was still stuck on the fact that the other had a mom who liked the same stuff as he did when Taylor himself wished Penny liked comics to no avail.

Bovi pondered for a moment. "Dancing eh? Well, I'm not sure if there's a manga of it, but there's an anime called Princess Tutu that I'd think she'd really like..." he mused before looking at the manga that was available. What else could work?
"She into romance or anything like that? A lot of Shojo are love stories...perhaps Train Man?" The last part was to himself, remembering glancing through that series out of curiosity.

" I think so I mean she doesn't giggle about boys or anything stupid like that." And why oh why did so many girls his age have to do that it was dumb, dumber than little kids and cooties." But she likes those sort of movies." Taylor personally couldn't sit through Ever After or never been kissed or anything where the main plot was romance but Trinket didn't seemed bothered by them.
The spawn chewed on his lower lip thoughtfully " But the girl in whatever I pick shouldn't be weak and just let love happen to her, she should want it." Because Trinket gentler and nicer than him but he didn't think she'd be interested in love stories where girls were just there to fall in love, there should be more to them. "And that Princess tutu thing sounds a bit promising" he added, after all the title seemed to imply it was ballet oriented.
